Interior Design By Jo

We are typical home owners in that we have no real personal experience in design and concepts with regards to bathrooms. We contacted Jo to get some ideas and were very satisfied with our choice. She guided us through the process in a professional manner to such an extent that we added more scope to the works to include internal painting, wallpapering and window treatments throughout the house. Jo managed all phases of the project from sourcing product to organising contractors. Her keen eye to detail prevented any issues arising later. Delivering a quality project on time and on budget makes for a very satisfied client. Highly recommended.

Jo recently coordinated the renovation of our Master Suite, comprising of bedroom, ensuite and walk-in robes. We chose Jo as we knew she could assist us with design as well as project manage the renovation. Jo has been a delight to work with. She listened carefully to what we wanted to achieve and then produced a design and colour palette that not only met but surpassed our initial concept. Jo was able to suggest design features that we hadn’t thought of but have greatly enhanced the renovations. The project proceeded seemingly effortlessly with Jo at the helm of project management. Jo was in regular contact either by phone or in person to ensure all stages were progressing well. Her communication skills are excellent so we always knew what was happening when and what tradies could be expected on each day. We were so thrilled with the whole process and working with Jo that we have already engaged her to do the next stage of our renovations.

We are a couple aged in our eighties and, in recent times, made the very difficult decision to downsize and move into a Retirement Village as we do not have children to look after our interests in our old age. The enormity of this project was overwhelming - especially with regard to making decisions on what furniture to keep and what to sell, décor, etc. We had a number of large antique items and were moving into a small unit. Fortunately an acquaintance of ours referred us to Joanne Byrom who made life very easy for us. As we were extremely busy preparing our home for sale and had no time to search for furniture, Joanne made a number of visits to our new unit, measured wall space, recommended keeping some of our antique furniture, and mixing it with more modern items. Joanne ordered the new furniture and also arranged drapes and blinds and selected the colour scheme. We sold our home in record time and, thanks to Joanne, made a smooth transition into our new unit. A number of friends have visited us at our new abode and have made some very complimentary remarks on the décor. We would recommend Joanne to any potential client.

We had Jo give advice, and quote, on updating our kitchen and living room. She was very professional, as well as so warm and friendly. We felt very relaxed talking with her about what we would like. Jo presented samples that were exactly what we wanted as well as giving detailed quotes. We are absolutely thrilled with our finished look.

We felt so lucky to have Jo's card given to us one day after we were blindly looking in a bathroom shop. From our first meeting, Jo was amazing and made everything so easy. She understood what we wanted and her designs were practical and lovely. She works with very professional builders, electricians, painters and plumbers and her coordination and project management made everything run smoothly. We are now thoroughly enjoying our renovated house!

My Wife and found Jo to be very professional in her approach to our project which was redesign of our ensuite, This involved advice on cabinetry tapware tiles colour choices and the actual new layout of the bathroom.

It was absolute pleasure working with Jo and her team of tradesmen for our complete apartment refurbishment. Right from the start she was nothing but professional, courteous and understanding to our list of designer ideas and suggestions. For us not being in Brisbane for the majority of the work, was never a concern. Regular updates and plenty of progress photos kept us working together as the transformation progressed. Any of our changes, even mid project, were quickly added with ease. On-time and great project management. We will be using Jo again!

I really had nothing to do except decide on colours and finishes... everything is of the best quality, and yet reasonably priced. Joanne Byrom was recommended to us by a Property Developer acquaintance who had used her services in the past. We needed the services of an interior designer as we purchased an 18 year old penthouse apartment in November 2018 that needed a substantial renovation with refurbishment of the kitchen, bathrooms and lighting as well as other works. Additionally we needed to purchase new furnishings and curtains for the apartment. Further, the renovation work and furniture installation needed to occur while we were absent overseas. Jo designed the new kitchen and bathrooms and also assisted us in selecting tiles and benchtops. Additionally she helped us select all our interior and external furnishings. All this preliminary work was done before we left to spend 3 months in New Zealand when the renovation work took place under Jo’s supervision. We arrived back in Australia 2 weeks ago and walked into an apartment that had undergone a stunning transformation – the new kitchen, bathrooms and décor look fantastic and everyone who has visited the apartment since our return has commented on the high quality of the finishes and furniture selections. We are delighted with the result and the improvements have added considerable value to our property. All the work supervised by Jo during our absence was carried out by experienced tradespersons with who Jo has worked for years. They are high quality tradespeople who completed their tasks within budget and on time. The onsite management in our apartment complex commented that the tradespeople who worked on our apartment were the best they have ever seen on the property – they obeyed all pre-agreed construction rules and their work caused little or no disruption to our neighbours. We could not speak highly enough of Jo’s professionalism and enthusiasm for her work and have no hesitation is recommending her to any potential client. Jo gives personal service and is present at all installations to ensure that the outcome is compliant with the order. Any substandard products are rectified by her personally without question. Jo sets good time lines and ensures that orders are dealt with efficiently. Apart from that she is a lovely person who tries to ensure you individual likes are met, while giving expert advice about the potential outcome of your choices.
