Joshand I collaborated on an extension project/ garden relandscape in Twickenham. He is a highly skilled and personable Garden Designer with a proven track record who very clearly loves designing outdoor spaces. An absolute professional with an abundance of design talent and absolute vision. The work is still in progress, but already before the garden is established you can see how his expert eye and flair has created a very dramatic indoor/ outdoor flow with a focus at the end of the garden totally complementing the extension. Josh has a knack for really understanding the space he is working with. His choice of materials and furniture coupled with his exceptional low energy lighting design and personally designed garden furniture and artworks make him quite a find. His final product is so bespoke and inspired that I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who is looking for a high-end Garden Designer who really knows stuff and over delivers on all expectations. And what fun to work with too! I attach work in progress photo- watch this space!.....

We employed JWGD to design and install the planting for a particularly difficult roof terrace in a very exposed area overlooking the Thames. We were not only constrained by the exposed site but also weight restrictions that dictated the type and depth of soil. Josh designed appropriate planters, selected lightweight soil and designed a planting layout. We had our own ideas but must admit that following discussion we "saw the light" and with one or two very minor amendments accepted his scheme. Before we knew it the plants were ordered and delivered and the planting was completed. We are delighted with the outcome and would have no hesitation recommending JWGD for a professional friendly and attentive service.

I've just happened on the pages of Josh Ward Garden Design. As a fellow award winning professional I am awestruck by his design skills. There are so many garden designers out there, especially in London, but most churn out the same design, slightly tweaked, over and over again. But Josh Ward's work is so varied, original and right for the site. I love his plant combinations. It takes a brave designer to be so bold. And aesthetically it pays off. He must surely be on his way to becoming one of the top garden designers in the business. I'm envious!

Patricia thank you so much for your very kind words. I am a very passionionate Contemporary Garden Designer who lives for every aspect of design from gardens and landscapes through to garden furniture, outdoor lighting and architecture. I recently designed two extraordinary Swedish inspired garden buildings (one and office the other a swimming pool structure), which made my heart sing.
I love to paint the landscape with exquisite planting combinations that are totally unique and have designed some herbaceous green roof gardens, which were lots of fun. I am happy designing planting for any situation from deep dry shade through to -20C, uber exposed roof terraces in London as well as sandy blasted +50C of Qatar skyscrapers!
