Allowing à la carte DESIGN to assemble an interior design plan and the team to execute it is a good way to make a home renovation, or remodeling project less stressful. At our interior design firm, the client is our No. 1 team member. At every step of the design process, we consider the client to be the best source of information about what will satisfy them, and we continue to consult with them as the project progresses. To complete any interior design project, a team with many skill sets are needed. Over the years, à la carte DESIGN has developed relationships with many contractors, tradespeople and craftspeople in the area. We know the quality of their work, and their ability to complete the work on time. Our contacts also include local sources for designer furniture, floor coverings, lighting, fixtures, custom cabinetry, and more. Some of these sources are only available to “the trade.” We can even recommend artists and art galleries to complete the client’s vision. Jeane is excellent. So good I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again for any project. Our project was relatively small in the grand scheme of things, but it never felt that way to us. She was always responsive, always listened to us patiently, and worked very hard to make our (not always well articulated) desires manifest themselves in a beautiful finished project. This was the first time we’d ever made a substantial change to our home and the first time we’d ever used an interior designer. Jeane made the whole thing so stress-free I can’t imagine doing it without her. For example, half-way through the project (the installation of a fireplace, mantle, and built-in shelves) we had to change contractors. Jeane handles it extremely well and there was no change in the (very high) quality of the finished project. Bottom line: Jeane has it all. She’s a great listener who carefully worked with us to make sure we got what we wanted (even when we didn’t alway know what that was!) and a great project manager. All at a very fair price. I recommed her to anyone I know looking for interior design help.

She brought a lot a lot of excellent ideas to our project, but also listened to ours. We get complements on our kitchen all the time. She was a joy to work with through what might normally be a stressful time. Her expertise and ability to listen and learn her clients interest is remarkable. It is so wonderful to come home at the end of the day to a beautiful kitchen.

I hired Jeane to help us design and install a new powder room and basement common area. The basement went from a drab, basic bar to a vibrant orange room with a one-wall, self-service kitchen complete with white cabinetry, quartz countertops, beverage fridge, sink/disposal and microwave drawer. On the opposite wall, an ugly water shut-off door was camouflaged into two white columns, flanked with shelving affording us space for a large OLED tv, family fotos and collectibles. The glass bubble chandeliers are super unique and et the stage as you enter the room. A pocket door was installed to close off the basement from the basement stairwell and tall sliding doors were installed to provide a divider between this posh hangout from the teenager's tech area. The powder room now exudes a Mediterranean feel with white pebbles on the wall behind a large beautiful mirror, custom cabinetry beneath a painted porcelain bowl....topped off with a gold ceiling! Both rooms were transformed into amazing living spaces that exude ooohs and aaahs from guests when seeing them for the first time. The project was within budget and exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Jeane, for sharing your design vision with us and giving us spaces in our home that truly represent us.

OMG what a trained eye can do! I have a new Air bnb and asked Jean to come and take a look to see what colors I could paint it. Air bnbs in my neighborhood is a tight competition so I had to bring my best. She came in, studied it, perused options and told me exactly what color every wall and crevice and floor should be painted. For a previously gray/white laundry room, she made it bright attractive colors "and the floor should be yellow." "A yellow floor?!" "Yes." And I did as I was told. The response is "Wow Zowie!" My first month in the Air bnb market was booked at 97% -- during low season! And that was just coloring she did. I will not only hire Jeane anytime I can, but I will POUNCE on the opportunity to do more. Thanks a zillion, Jeane!

We initially consulted Jeane to help with picking out a countertop and backsplash for our kitchen and colors for the entire interior of our house. During her initial visit, we also discussed some of the things we did not like about our house. She came back a few days later with pictures and samples including some additional work that she recommended. It was all very simple. We went with everything she picked including the sink, faucet and light fixtures. We also elected to have some of the additional work she recommended done once we determined we were under budget. I am certain the finished product looks far better than what we would have come up with after researching and looking for many hours ourselves. She even recommended how to better arrange our furniture and use our existing space while she was visiting. The cost was well worth the time saved and I am very happy with the results.

Jeane has helped us with two projects, one in 2009 and one in 2013. The first project involved updates to the kitchen: floor, counter, appliances, and repainting cabinets. The second project involved redoing the master bath and closet and the hall bath. Each bath involved a complete redo: moving walls, new cabinets, counters, flooring, showers, and toilet. Jeane worked with us on the designs for each project and we have been satisfied with the finished projects. She worked well with the general contractor on the projects and was quick to get back to us on our questions.

My company hired Jeane Dole to provide design, color and material selections for our home that will be listed at 1,999,000. She has exceeded our expectations in every aspect of the project. Her attention to detail and strong desire to ensure the project not only met her standards, but exceeding ours. As the project progressed, she was readily available to review unexpected issues that popped up and assist with solutions immediately. She also has a great focus for the clients budget, always making it work for her design concepts and our budgets. Additionally, another strong trait of Jeane's is not being afraid to speak her mind and clearly communicate what is best for the project even though it might make for an uncomfortable discussion. We had many candid discussions through out the project and always ended on a positive note for us as the client. Jeane was also given the staging of our project because of her strong focus and great design ideas, and we wanted to carry that through to the final sale of our home. Jeanne helped remodel our living room/dining room combination. It is a very big space which I had no idea what to do with. She came in with lots of great ideas right away. We added hardwood floors and refinished some to make them darker. Remodeled our fireplace and added cabinets. Painted interior, exterior and added new fixtures. Jeane Dole was able to incorporate ideas I shared with her on my vision for the remodeling projects I had, and make them blend with the furniture I wanted to keep and the areas that did not need remodeling so that everything flowed beautifully. She also had several ideas on ways to keep cost down and use some existing items. For example, where I wanted new bathroom cabinets, Jeane instead had my existing cabinets repainted and new hardware added, and the result looked brand new and saved money for other updates. She employs qualified experts in every area, from electrical, carpenters, painters and every area needed to finish a job. I received many compliments on my updated bathroom, powder room, office area, banisters, and paint colors throughout.

We moved into our new home and found that our furniture didn't fit into our new space. We needed new furniture as well as rugs, window treatments, lighting and accents. My husband and I gave Jeane a budget and went over our "wish list" with her. Jeane's creativity was most impressive. She helped us bridge the gap from traditional to "transitional" by reconstructing and reupholstering some of our current furniture. To save money, she had furniture constructed to fit the design our of our new home along with guiding us with purchases of some new pieces. Overall, Jeane is trustworthy, confident and talented. We decided to do a comprehensive remodel of our entire first floor which included an outdated cramped kitchen, the family room, dinning room and living room. It involved a significant amount of planning and Jeane consulted with an architect and a civil engineer to ensure that walls and ceilings that needed moving were safe to do so. Multiple crews had to come and go (electricians, HVAC, plumbing, sound system wiring) in addition to the contractor and his team. The end result was absolutely stunning and we are very happy in our new space. There were of course a number of bumps in the road which were to be expected, but they were handled professionally by Jeane. Overall, the design was beautiful and classic and will not look outdated for a very long time.

We came across a la carte Design when we were looking for houses. One of the houses we looked at was a stunning remodel. Although the house was not the one for us because of the location, we couldn't help but wish that the house we did buy looked like the one designed by a la carte! So we did the next best thing--we asked our realtor to find out who did the house we liked so much so that we too could have a stunning remodel. Jeane is a true talent--she uses AutoCAD to draw up her designs so that we can actually picture what our new rooms will look like. Although we are starting "small" with a kitchen and dining room remodel, our hope is that some day our house will incorporate all the amazing design elements Jeane has drawn up for us! She is also great at helping answer questions about furniture layout and paint color. We consider ourselves to have a "good eye" for design, but sometimes we just don't know what to do and Jeane is a great help. We highly recommend her to anyone!
