Shouldn’t you love where you live? Houzz contributor and award winning designer provides interior design services for private residences. Our work runs from very modern to crisp updated traditional. We love art, colour, pattern, couture details, and most of all we love to be inspired by what you love. Judith Taylor Designs You spend time in your home every day. It should welcome you with joy each time you return to it. When you surround yourself with beautiful things this kind of magic can happen. I know from my own life how daunting a task this can be. But make no mistake - function comes first! There are literally hundreds of different sofas available and just as many colours of off-white paint. Yet there is no greater pleasure for me than to help you get there. When I find the right textile or wallpaper for my clients I see the joy (and relief) in helping them navigate all the obstacles and answer their dreams. We love to bring a sense of style and luxury to your home. As an artist and designer I have an eye for colour, texture and fabrics. I truly enjoy the process of helping you find your kind of beautiful. A team approach We love to collaborate. Our team of designers continues to grow as we broaden our range of styles. Yet it is my name on the business, so you can rest assured I oversee each project from start to finish. Having other designers involved means we can bring more ideas to the table… or the chair for that matter. We have been able to seek out wonderful trades such as carpenters, builders, craftsman, as well as highly talented artists and architects. Each are selected for their commitment to quality work and customer care that reflect our values. I reached out to Judith because my room didn't seem finished. The big pieces were there but I didn't know how to finish it off and pull everything together. Thank you for your ideas and education on what goes into styling my living room. I love your suggestions. The drawings were such a great help in visualizing the options and it made the decisions easier when I could see the end result. The best part? It will help me show my husband (he's the bookworm) how great it would look if we styled the built-ins and stored all the clutter. The changes gave the entire room an updated look. There’s nothing like seeing what things could look like! I had been looking through various online resources but nothing beats actually seeing your own space transformed (even if it’s just a window treatment). Love it! Thank you!

Judith helped us line up the professional contacts and source the resources we needed to undertake a re-do of our children's bedrooms. Judith developed a plan and stayed in touch throughout the construction/finishing process. Importantly, she was committed to the final outcome, which we were very happy with!

Judith , you took the frustration out of choosing paint colours for our home. Your organised approach to finding the best colours was just what I needed. Judith is the very definition of home design. She covers the gambit from structure and layout; through floors, windows and walls; beautiful furnishings; and finally in the tiny details that make a house a home. Her design know-how is deep – so solid that she can educate and advise with ease and grace. This combination of breadth and depth was what drew me to her. I had recently purchased a house in the suburbs, and was eager to make it a home. I was looking for very basic design advice: where to start, how to focus, what to invest. She delivered. Judith was exactly what I was looking for. She helped me create a very personal vision of my home that started with listening to what I wanted for feel and function, and then incorporated all of things that I love, and many of the things that I had brought from my former home. Our initial consultations were focused on the big questions, then easily moved to an organized budget and plan. Those consultations, and the resulting plans and ideas, have saved me a lot of time and money. As soon as I am ready, I will be calling Judith for help with next steps!

I would highly recommend Judith to anyone who loves quality furniture and has been reluctant to purchase retail. I had been looking for just the right couch for my living room for many many years, and never satisfied with the choices available at retail stores. I wanted good looks and good quality - very hard to find in a retail store without paying an arm and a leg! Hiring Judith was the best experience in furniture buying that I've every had. I quickly learned good looks and good quality is not really how to buy furniture. Judith has an incredible ability to understand how the furniture will be used and how it will fit into the overall look and feel of the room. For me, not only did I get the couch of my dreams, I also got an inviting armchair and ottoman to go along with it... all made right here in Canada and all within my budget. Kudos Judith! I wish I had met you years ago!

I hired Judith to help me decorate my master bedroom. I felt fortunate that she was willing to take on this small project, and she has been wonderful to work with. She is prompt to respond, quickly understood my vision, is respectful of the scope of my budget, and has pushed me beyond what I would have done by myself to achieve a professional result. She introduced me to furniture lines and companies that I would not have had access to as a general consumer. We are mid-way through the project, and I am having a great experience.

Recently divorced and the new owner of an all-white condo, Judith became my partner in design and we embarked on a journey to create my nest. The project was mutli-faceted-lighting plan; construction; painting; wallpaper; tiling; custom drapery and upholstery and overall design. Judith coordinated all aspects of the project and sourced and brought in skilled contractors and tradespeople. The budget for the project was fluid, but Judith can assess value and was practical and pragmatic in eliminating things that really were not necessary. The design aspects were collaborative and efficient-Judith is a good listener and she whittled down the choices to a manageable number and were consistent with what I had described as my style and aesthetic. She gently nudged me towards patterns and palettes that I would not have found on my own but in the end resulted in a beautifully curated home with each room slightly different but still all flowing together. Judith’s attention to detail is high and she takes great interest and pride in the little things like trim on pillows and window coverings that make the final product very custom and unique. I am delighted with the end result – it is me with a twist! I have a foundation to build on and most importantly I have a nest that I love to come home to and share with friends and family.

It was such a pleasure, and an honour to help launch your new journey. I must say, it is one thing to make a house look lovely but another matter entirely to help someone recreate a home. I really believe a home that welcomes you and reflects your personality, one that is layered with your stories, is the best way to heal you when life delivers unwelcome turns. I am delighted that you feel it is a true reflection of your taste. That is the highest compliment to me - one that I always strive for. I believe that a truly collaborative process is the only way to create a home that reflects you, not your designer's taste (okay, maybe a flourish or two of mine crept in). I still recall the day you called and said there were "so many white walls". It was fun working with you!

A commenté : Where can I buy the tablecloth?60" would give this exact look, but you could go bigger. Just order a couple sizes and play around with them. Unfortunately this one was 50" - certainly too small for your table
