KD Landscape

I’ve been looking and looking for designs for our backyard, oh my goodness, you have to be the best we’ve seen! We’re in Texas, so it’s not practical to call you, but we are totally getting great ideas for our shady backyard forest! You definitely have a talent, and will be following you! Let me first start off by saying STOP, if you are looking at any other company’s when it comes to landscaping. Kevin and his team (shout out to Mario and Greg), were by far the most skilled crew we have ever hired/worked with for landscaping work. We have used some highly rated/reviewed companies for past projects, but KD Landscape is at a level all to themselves. I only wished we would have come across them 7-8 years ago when we began our outdoor projects. From start to finish, they were efficient, very skilled and approached the job from day 1 with a plan. You can tell a lot about a company when looking at their work trucks and equipment. All of theirs are newer and kept very clean. Because of the fantastic work KD Landscape did for us, we now have our dream backyard that we have been dreaming about ever since we built our home! Kevin, is a hands on owner and was a part of the process every step of the way. He and his crew's attention to detail put us at ease from the moment the project started. I couldn’t recommend them more to anyone. Fantastic Company!

KD was not the first landscape company we’ve worked with and we spent a fair amount of researching companies before selecting them for a phased residential project. We love to be outside and do a lot of gardening. Our site has more than the typical number of challenges (septic field, drainage, utilities, solid clay soil etc.) and of course the resident gardener (me) added more to the list – sympathetic to the site and a preferred style, durable and maintenance we can live with, wildlife friendly etc. We were looking for a partner that could take our ideas, enhance them (ok more likely “fix” them) and execute flawlessly. We couldn't be happier with our choice to work with KD and I feel lucky to have found them. John “Algo” is a pleasure to work with, easy to talk with about your vision and very knowledgeable. He will honor your views/choices while politely and respectfully pushing you to consider other points of view and alternatives. He is a consummate professional, follows up precisely and is very timely. He also really respects the crews he works with and they deserve it. Our crew with Mario, Carlos and Angel was fantastic. They were incredibly nice, super easy to work with (including special pet logistics) and they are fantastic craftsmen. The first phase was replacing and expanding an old patio and deck, completed in late 2020 a couple photos here toward the end of phase I but pergola went in. My photos don’t do justice to their work. More photos after the next phase in spring/summer 2021 which will focus on the plantings. KD is not the first landscaping company we’ve used, but based on the work so far they will happily be our last. Highly recommend!

Every time I come home, I admire the landscape and smile at how amazing you all made it!! Your work has become the gold standard on what I expect from every contractor I interview, be it for HVAC work or painting or other home improvements. I can't say enough about the professionalism, consideration, and attention to detail displayed by each and every member of the K & D team. The pride in workmanship showed even more when the crew took pictures when everything was finished; like they couldn't wait to show off the job to their friends and family! We worked with John Algozinni, who met with us several times and addressed all of our concerns. Once the plans were approved and the project got started, it was impressive to see the entire team come together and finished our outdoor space within the timeline promised and beyond our expectations. John Algozzini was FANTASTIC! We built a new house and John's vision was exactly what we envisioned. There was constant dialog about our expectations and he was completely flexibly to make sure we received exactly what we wanted. From the patio color, design of the planting beds, vegetable garden etc., John was awesome. We have nothing but praise, from start to finish on our project. John A. was wonderful to work with. He was able to translate our vision into something better than we could imagine on our own. Mario and his crew spent several weeks at our home, and always left our backyard neat and tidy. The pergolas were done with an expert eye and craftsmanship. John was flexible, as we made changes along the way, and came up with creative and functional solutions. We can't wait for next summer to fully enjoy all their hard work!

John A was so fabulous to work with! Our project was for a full makeover of a Lincoln Park wraparound front yard space. John came up with a brilliant design to give privacy, a new yard (for the pup!), new planting beds, and a gorgeous bluestone patio. The end result is breathtaking. Throughout the project, John would always take my calls, and his knowledge of plants and microclimates in Chicago was tremendously helpful. All the work was done in 3 days, and the crew was very professional and tidy. They had to haul in by hand nearly 40 trees, loads of sod and mulch, and they did it so efficiently and cleaned the sidewalks and patio meticulously each day before they went home. We love our new space, and the neighbors all agree it has raised the bar for our street! Thank you, John. It was such a delight to work with you and your team!

I have done a couple sizable projects with K&D Landscape over the last couple of years. Last summer we put in a beautiful bluestone patio and an incredibly designed (large!) backyard....every tree, bush, plant and blade of grass was installed. This year we put in a large (20' X 50") swimming pool. K&D designed and built a first class retaining wall, installed about a hundred arborvitae for total privacy, planted pallets of ground cover, bushes, grasses etc. The result is stunning! John Algozzini was the designer on these assignments and he and his team did an unbelievable job. Not only is the hardscape and softscape spectacular, but the work process was exceptional. I always knew where I stood from a budget and schedule perspective! Not one surprise along the way!! Thank you John and all the folks at K&D. I highly recommend this top tier company.

K&D Landscape Management did an exceptional job on our project! From the planning stages, to changes that we made & add on's, to the finished product, we could not have been more pleased! John is excellent with attention to details - from listening to our initial list of desires, to drawing up the design, to overseeing the entire project, to helping with all of the finishing touches, and providing the support contact that we needed throughout the entire project, he was always right there to guide us and keep the project moving.
