We chose Keri as our architect because we knew upon meeting her that she would be the best fit to balance all the history and uniqueness of our home with a much needed update and modernization. Keri was organized, communicative, on time, and just a pleasure to work with. She was flexible in how and when we met, always available on phone or email, and continues to stay in touch with us as we exit the design phase and find the right contractor to make her work a reality. We thought we were out of our element trying to plan a renovation and small addition to a house we'd never set foot in, from 3000 miles away! But Keri made the project come to life with suggestions that wouldn't have even occurred to us. Each time we traveled to what was to be our new home, planning sessions with her were fruitful and professional. She coordinated nicely with our interior designer so that we could see a vision of what our possibilities could be. Imaginative and attractive redesign of an old garage with a small upstairs apartment into a charming, convenient cottage matching the style of the 1906 main house, designed to allow us to comfortably 'age in place' with all needed services at ground level and an added accessible stairway to an upstairs room and basement.

We interviewed architects for 1 year before finding Keri. I spoke with several of her past clients in my area, and they all had wonderful things to say about her and her work. Now, I will add my 5-star review to her list of many. We hired Keri to reimagine our 1915's house in Winchester and provide a design for our remodel. Our build-budget was tight for the amount of work required. Keri did a great job keeping our budget in-focus while accomplishing our design goals. She was fun to work with, and she came up with a design that exceded our expections. All the design options were showed using her 3D Viewer, so we could easily envision each area. Her software was super helpful. We are now starting the build phase of our project, and Keri has continued to support us by helping with interior design, recommending different trades and helping us think though some tough decisions. Keri was a great fit for us, and I would definitely use her again.

My wife and I have owned an 1880’s center entrance colonial farmhouse in New England for 23 years. During this time, we have done minor remodeling with the goal of maintaining the historic nature of the property. Based on recommendations from multiple friends who worked with Keri Murray, we contacted her to re-imaging the exterior, design a family room addition, 2 car garage, and remodeling of much of our first floor living space. She came out to meet us and our home and we discussed what we wanted for the space. Keri did an amazing job of listening to our goals of maintaining the original character of the home, improving the usability of our existing footprint before adding additional square footage, and increasing the amount of natural light. She provided us with three different designs that all dramatically improved the functionality of the existing space with different approaches. The design that we ultimately choose included an additional family room that was large enough to accommodate our family and entertaining while still fitting with the existing home as well as a re-imaged farmer’s porch based off the original 1880’s porch. During the construction phase, Keri served as an advocate for the project responding to questions from both us and our contractor. She made several site visits to ensure that that her design was executed accordingly. Keri was very helpful during the entire process, and especially during the building process when quick decisions were necessary by being responsive. She truly exceeded our expectations when we needed a countertop material that was cost-effective and readily available, and she found us a link to exactly what we needed. As we near the end of the construction phase, we couldn’t be happier with our experience with Keri and the outcome of her work. She helped us transform our old farmhouse into our dream home, and a place that we will all love to be in for years to come. Keri is a gifted architect and a consummate professional and we truly enjoyed working with her on our project.

After several false starts with architects who didn’t seem to understand our overall vision for our 1930s colonial, Keri was recommended by a builder. What a relief. She immediately understood the creative brief. We wanted to update our colonial in a modern way but not so modern that it would look incongruous to the neighborhood of similar era homes. Keri is thoughtful, creative, has vision and a problem solving attitude. This attitude was extremely helpful in our case as our home is not a traditional wooden frame house but instead is constructed of concrete and steel. The framing makes any adjustments to the original structure a challenge. We talked through the project and Keri was able to brainstorm with us ways to solve our construction dilemmas while designing a beautiful structure that fit our needs. She used 3-d models to illustrate our options, enabling us to visualize the final product. As an interior decorator, I am usually able to visualize the creative elements of a room but these models were so helpful to see how the rooms would flow into each other! Besides her creative and architectural abilities, Keri was pleasant and funny, returned the plans and revisions in a timely manner and was an absolute professional. We could not recommend her more!! I look forward to updating this recommendation with photos of the final product. We are so excited to begin!!

My wife and I recently wrapped up the architectural design phase of a home remodel project we are undertaking in our house this summer/fall. We had a great experience working with Keri, and we both felt that Keri added immense value to the design process. We knew we wanted to make some significant changes to the flow of the first floor of our home, but it was difficult for us to envision what the space could become without seeing some renderings with a few different options to consider. Keri listened to our feedback, but also offered suggestions based on her domain expertise in a way that kept our best interests in mind. We were particularly happy that Keri tried to approach the options we had from a cost lens, offering where she felt we would get the most bang for our buck when considering different choices. Oftentimes the design options we went with were not the most expensive, in part due to Keri's input. That approach gave us a level of trust in knowing that Keri had our best interests in mind from a number of dimensions, which was really important for us given the size of the undertaking we had in front of us. In addition to being easy to work with and trustworthy, Keri was punctual and prompt with following up. She created 3D models for us that really helped supplement the two dimensional architectural drawings, giving us reassurance that the design choices we made were going to come out as expected. Finally, Keri has a host of industry contacts that we also have been leveraging, including engineering and contractor resources that have been really helpful in moving our project along in a timely fashion. We would strongly recommend Keri to anyone considering a home remodel project that is in need of architectural support.

We HIGHLY recommend Keri! From the start, she brought wonderful ideas and professionalism to the project. Our house was built in 1931, is in a historic district, and hadn’t been updated since the 1970s. We sought to expand the footprint of the kitchen and add a new master bedroom above it. We’re also converting, adding, and renovating other rooms. Keri gave us a few different floor plan options at the start and then weaved our favorite aspects of each into a floor plan that we’re super excited about and will work well for our family’s needs. With the historic nature of our house, Keri was able to seamlessly tie in the new features to the old. We’re confident that the original architect would approve of her designs. She also designed a carriage house that looks as if the original architect envisioned it. Keri was very helpful during the local board meetings we attended, and board members complimented her on her design. When we decided to add scope to the project, she jumped in and quickly drew beautiful plans for that room. She has also offered to assist us during the interior design phase and is always available to consult with us about design selection choices. Keri took our core, rough preferences about a house and turned them into a beautiful, functional design. We contracted with Keri to help design an addition to our home including a new master bedroom, a new master bathroom, a reconfiguration of an existing bedroom and bathroom, and a farmers porch. This was our first time working with an architect. We chose to contract with her based on her portfolio, her price point, and our impression from an initial discussion over zoom. Keri’s design process helped us get to a design that we felt very good about and one that would likely fall in our budget. Architectural designs for a double addition of a mother-in-law apartment over a triple garage, and a three floor space with an office, family room and master bath suite. Keri was always on time, very fast to respond and get the work completed on schedule, and she accommodated my oddball requests for different formats of the architectural diagrams. Her designs are making the best use of the space and will bring the most value for the investment.

We interviewed several architects for our third floor remodel (bathroom, dormer, master closet, laundry room) and instantly knew Keri was the one for us upon our first meeting. When I first met with Keri we were very impressed by her professional expertise and knowledge of how to go about putting an addition onto an existing home. We've been working with Keri on our Kitchen/Mudroom renovation. We started the process by meeting to see if she might be a good fit for the project. I immediately knew she was someone I could work with. She is warm and direct, and full of ideas. I had been thinking about our kitchen reno for some time and doing a lot of my own sketching and research, but once we told Keri some of the problems we were trying to solve, she came back to us with an idea that we had never thought of before. After speaking to a few local architects, we hired Keri on the recommendation of Greg Langston Construction who we were considering using for an addition on our home. We have been working with Keri for the past 8 weeks and she has been absolutely great, especially with Greg as a team. Keri is professional and personable, very responsive, on budget and does what she says she will on time. We hired Keri to design a large addition to our antique colonial home, to include a new kitchen, master suite, and a classroom space for our in-home child care. Keri was wonderful to work with to develop a design to meet all of our needs and challenging conditions, while preserving the historical characteristics of the home. Keri’s process was very straight forward, and she was willing to put in the time to meet and talk with us when needed. As we have a non-conforming lot, Keri worked with us to prepare the necessary documents for our hearing with the Zoning Board of Appeals and attended the meeting to speak on our project. We have just selected our contractor and will be breaking ground next month. We look forward to having Keri oversee the construction process. We would highly recommend Keri to others.

My husband and I have been contemplating an extensive reno/addition to our cape home for a long time, and I have been admiring Keri's work from afar for the last couple of years. Our schedules finally aligned and Keri was willing to drive out of her way to meet me at our home. I was impressed by her professionalism, her clear experience and knowledge with navigating special permit processes, and her design ideas. (I've been dreaming up ideas for 3 years for our house, and within 10 minutes she offered up ideas that had never occurred to me!) Alas, the stars did not ultimately align, because I subsequently learned that our property is even more restricted by zoning laws than I thought, so we will not be moving forward with the project. But she will be my architect of choice should any future projects arise down the road.

Keri was great to work with. She was clear about the timeline and what we should expect and stuck to it. She was super helpful with the process we had to go through (application for special permit from town, zoning board hearing) and let us know what to expect. We really were happy that she had a structural engineer and contractor we could ask questions to when needed and this made us more confident moving forward that there wouldn't be structural elements that were not feasible once construction starts. We have not yet started construction, so I can update this review after that, but the contractors that we received bids from appreciated her building set of drawings, all of them saying how clear and detailed they were, which makes less of a headache later on. I highly recommend Keri- she struck a good balance of giving us her opinion and listening to what we wanted. We are very happy with her design.

We have been thrilled with Keri Murray’s work. We are in the middle of construction now. We knew we wanted to gut and redo our kitchen while opening it up to the dining room, but couldn’t envision how best to combine the two rooms. Keri did a fantastic job designing a barrel vaulted portico and front steps for my home. She was easy to work with and extremely helpful throughout the process from narrowing down my vision to choosing stone and lighting. She was able to provide an idea of cost for materials, labor, etc. as well and helped source contractors. She also worked with the contractor that was ultimately chosen to ensure the proportions were being brought to life correctly. I would highly recommend Keri to anyone looking for an architect!

Keri made our first-time experience with an architect so simple and easy. She explained the entire process in a supportive manner making the thought of renovating our older home not so overwhelming. She was able to apply her keen eye, creativity and expertise to what we thought would be out of reach, in order to stay within the original foot-print of our home. Keri was always available over email and on the phone as well to answer any questions we had along the way. Having never done a renovation project before Keri has been wonderful guiding me through the process. She took a very tricky layout for my old house and came up with a creative design that gives me a wonderful kitchen, open floor plan with an island, and storage space in a new entryway and updated mudroom. Her design is keeping with my old house and does not change things that don't need to be changed. I'm excited to get my new kitchen once construction is complete!

We hired Keri for a major renovation of our home. We nearly doubled the size of the existing structure, and added multiple external design elements that would give our house more character. Keri did a fantastic job. She is very creative, precise, professional and organized. Moreover, throughout this project Keri was required to navigate many cities laws that made building very difficult, and did so with ease. I highly recommend her for any project big or small.

Keri designed our two-car garage, which is to be attached to an addition we did years ago. I had some specific requirements, and we had a bit of a design challenge to keep a window in the house where the garage is going to attached. Keri did a great job of meeting all of my requirements, keeping the window, and coming up with an overall design that looks great and will function well. She’s been a pleasure to work with, has great ideas, and has been appropriately flexible to work through design compromises with us (e.g. function vs. aesthetics). Keri Murray did an incredible job creating our in law apartment. We wanted to keep within the existing footprint of our house, and have it appear seamless- as if it was always meant to be a part of the house- rather than an after thought addition. We hired Keri when trying to conceptualize a "dream" addition/renovation to our antique colonial home. She was wonderful to work with! We were in constant communication throughout the entire project about expectations, design and budget. Keri took the time to understand our needs (and our current house) with a few visits to our home. What we liked best about her design was that the renovation/addition was designed around our existing layout, structure, landscaping, etc. The final result was a cohesive, updated home with everything we asked for!

Great Architect! Imaginative as well as pragmatic. "We met Keri as we were planning a kitchen renovation, screened-in porch addition and front porch portico addition which would require a variance from the local zoning board. Keri came over to chat, get a sense of our space, our interior design style, and review our scope of needs versus wants (something very important). We could tell immediately that Keri was able to envision what we were looking for as the end result. Keri completely re-designed (what I thought was already a great design because I did it!) our kitchen space in a creative, timeless, far more efficient design than I could ever think of. Keri displayed her strong technical expertise and design sensitivity when drawing our three season porch and portico. Everything was brought to life in not only perfect scale but also considerate of the home's age and it's placement into the neighborhood landscape. Keri is very detail oriented but has a unique way of translating those details into a cohesive design that you can understand and relate to. Keri was always available for us.
