York Companies

York Companies was formed in an effort to better serve our customers and community. In 1980 with the opening of York Brothers Lawn Care, Kevin York began mowing lawns. He soon discovered his customers wanted someone who could do more. It was a desire to meet all his customers’ needs that motivated him to learn and offer services in irrigation installation and maintenance, outdoor lighting design, and drainage control systems. It was nearly ten years later that Kevin again heard the rumbling of his customers. They wanted someone to help with bathroom and kitchen remodel projects, room additions, basement finishes, wine cellars, and much more. Kevin began learning the ins and outs of construction and soon obtained his General Contractors License. He consistently helps customers create the space they desire. Kevin partnered with Robin Martin to form MY Contracting, LLC which handles all Residential Remodel & Additions, Rehabs, and Commercial Tenant Finishes. In 2006 Kevin wanted to create an outdoor living area at his own home. His dream was to have a pool, fire pit, outdoor kitchen, screened deck, and beautiful landscaping. Having not installed a pool before, Kevin did his research and decided on a Fiberglass Pool and began looking for a pool company to install it. He discovered the lack of area installers which prompted him to contact the suppliers directly. Through much discussion with his contacts, Kevin decided to install his pool himself. The project was a success and with only minor encouragement from the suppliers Kevin soon opened Pools by York, Inc. We continue to install Fiberglass Pools, Spas, and Outdoor Living Areas. In addition to Kevin, York Companies employs a general manager, full-time installation crews, and an office staff that keep the company running effectively and efficiently.
