Curio was originally from a little town near Perugia, Italy. He attended the Institute Technico Industriale where he studied architecture and cabinetmaking. After immigrating to the USA he went on to build custom furniture by hand in the family home. Many pieces are still being used some forty years later including his first custom kitchen crafted at the age of 17. On Valentine's Day 1974 Kitchens by Curio, Inc. was started by Curio Nataloni in Ludlow, MA. During his time with the Ludlow showroom -- in which he installed his projects in the morning and met with clients in the afternoon -- he established an excellent reputation for his design and quality installation. During the course of that time he also educated himself through the NKBA and attended design courses at the University of Notre Dame earning his CKD (Certified Kitchen Designer) qualification. In the course of his career Curio has won many National and International awards. Most notably he is a TWO time winner of the International Maytag & Wilson-Art CKD competition. The winning projects have been featured at several National Home shows as well as on the front cover of "House Beautiful"--one of which was called "Kitchen of the year". After winning the competition in 1993, in 1994 Curio was asked to be a judge! Curio is active in the NKBA and the HBA and was former president of the Mass State Home Builders Association 1999-2000. In 1984 after 10 years in Ludlow Curio moved his showroom to Springfield, MA. At that time Frank Nataloni graduated from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro and joined the firm full-time. Having spent many years working part-time with Curio while going through school it was an easy adjustment. He started out working "in the field" where he gained in-depth knowledge of craftsmanship working under Curio's wing. Also, he has taken many courses through the NKBA, HBA and UMASS and is now on the staff at Bay Path College in Longmeadow, MA. where he teaches Kitchen Design. Frank became the 2nd person in the state of Massachusetts to be a Certified Bath Designer. His work has been featured in many publications. "Green" projects are nothing new to Frank who has completed a number of them including one for an environmentally ill client where only steel cabinets could be used. Frank has been involved in professional organizations including NKBA, HBA-Remodlers Council, and UMASS Family business center.

After 20+ years we had moved back to the area. Our new home was going to require immediate and longer term upgrades to the kitchen and bath. During our absence we had lost all contact on who were the "go to" people . We met with a few firms, walked away but kept hearing Kitchens by Curio.We were driving by, and fortunate Michael was in. Unexpected , we spent over an hour discussing the structure, possibilities and things we should think about. We had an immediate need, made an appointment for some bridge work . Michael and his electrician were outstanding, more than comfortable having them in our home, and the work was exceptional. At one point,I heard him say to himself, "well not expecting that" . I asked, he replied it happens but we can adjust. And they did . We're looking forward to working with Michael and Kitchens by Curio for our final project.

When we wanted to get our kitchen remodeled, we shopped around. After receiving multiple ideas, none were as innovative and functional as what Frank provided. He worked with us throughout the process including the design, picking the right materials and ensuring we were happy with the work being done. Ryan Mayhew not only did an outstanding job installing the kitchen but answered any questions I had (and there were many). With Thanksgiving approaching and us hoping to host as we always do, they even sent Mike to help button things up! The quality of the kitchen and the experience they provided are top notch and I would recommend them to anyone planning a remodel.

Curio Kitchens & Baths performed the remodeling of our bathrooms. It included the installation of new stone countertops and new sinks. We also needed to remove large integrated wall mirrors. We were impressed by the choice of materials available for us and a great quality of work done by the installers. In addition, it the project was very easy for us because the whole work was completed while we were traveling. The bathrooms now have a fresh, modern look. Curio's business approach ensures a lot of flexibility. Thanks!

I am thrilled with the fabulous design that Frank came up with when I decided to get a new refrigerator. I love the pull out spice rack that is to the right of my fridge. We kept the original cabinets and replaced the laminate countertop with a beautiful granite countertop. I just love it! I just have to say, WOW, FABULOUS! The team is very professional, honest, personable and just the BEST.

We just finished up our kitchen remodel with Curio. Working with Frank (and sometimes Mike) Nataloni, Scott Redman their installer, as well as their plumber and electrician, was as smooth as one could hope for a big (to us) project. They were always very responsive, let me know immediately of any issues and resolved those issues as quickly and efficiently as possible, with no added cost to me. They worked with me on price and gave me a beautiful and functional kitchen that I look forward to using for the next 30 years.

I can't say enough positive things about this operation. Frank designed and headed our project and was in contact with us almost every day making sure we were not just satisfied but pleased with our experience. Throughout the gutting of our kitchen, both Frank an Curio showed up almost daily to oversee the project. Mike and Eamonn showed up at our home every day of the project and put in 8 hours or more of work each and every day . They were respectful of our home, meticulous in their work and very personable in their interaction with us. I would welcome these guys back to my home anytime. The subcontractors utilized were always there on time and also did an excellent job in the work they performed and in respecting our home. These guys made having our house in a state of disarray an almost pleasant experience. I can honestly say that you probably can get the job done cheaper, but you get what you pay for and these guys were worth it. Thank you Kitchens by Curio!

When we needed a complete kitchen renovation we went to Curio. Frank was completely awesome for our project. He was able to come up with a design flow that totally changed our kitchen and made it work perfectly. All of his suggestions were great, he was not pushy or over bearing, he gave us many different options and allowed us to choose our colors, textures and finishing colors. I would encourage any and everyone to visit Curio. You won’t be disappointed!

Curio renovated our kitchen over 15 years ago and it is as fresh and beautiful today as it was then. Curio immediately understood my vision and sketched it out perfectly on a napkin during our first 'meet'. The detail and functionality of my kitchen are unparalleled and timeless. I am definitely not an easy client but when Curio thought I was making a poor choice he was not afraid to sway my conviction. My kitchen will be the selling point for my house.

Kitchens By Curio designed and installed my kitchen cabinets over 8 years ago. They did a beautiful job. A month after the install, we ran into a problem where the cabinet doors shrank and left wide openings between the cabinet doors. Here it is years later and they dealt with the manufacturer and we got the job covered under warranty. The cabinets look beautiful again. They are top on my list for any future remodel jobs.

We hired these guys to do our complete major kitchen renovation. You get the complete package with them. They managed the design, demo, and renovation. They are extremely capable, confident, organized, knowledgeable, creative, & honest. A project like this can be overwhelming, yet they stream lined the schedule by making you aware what needs to get done, picked out, etc by certain dates. Our project required the removal of walls with structural considerations, new flooring, cabinets, appliances, plumbing, granite tops, tile, & electrical. They handled and coordinated every little detail. We found them, as well as the people they use to get the work done, very professional and receptive to your needs. There were a couple of times we requested changes and they would respond immediately and with great empathy for your concerns. They emphasized through the entire project that we needed to be happy. This huge project was basically done when they said it would be...within 4 months. If you want it done right & with attention to details, Curio is the way to go. You can't go wrong.

They take you through all aspects of design. They review your project to determine the best options including appliances and color choices. In their showroom, they have a wide selection of cabinets, finishes, floor covering and counter tops to assist with your decision making process. They are very professional and knowledgeable. Going with Kitchens & Baths by Curio was the best decision we could have possibly made for transforming our kitchen and baths. Price, materials, installation and service cannot be beat!!   The installation was very smooth and fast. They are all on time and worked hard. Demolition and installation of everything was very meticulous and clean. Frank came by for a site visit after the cabinets came in and was very communicative as to what was finished, what time the installers were coming in.   But most importantly, the quality of the finished product is excellent. Installation was very detail oriented. Frank and the team are very good to work with and if you do encounter any problems, the team will be sure to fix it. These are straightforward and honest who are detailed about kitchens. They are also very accommodating.   I should also point out that they did not charge me for any surprise costs when the work was complete.   Thanks Kitchen and Baths by Curio!   Also, they do free in-home estimates so call them! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. 1. Honest design advise - they will tell you if your vision is off or needs to be made more feasible for cost reasons.    2. They won't cut corners. They do everything properly.     3. Frank, the owner personally came down and helped with the project making sure everything looked great and was hands on in getting the work done.    4. They are not the most expensive or the cheapest, they gave us a reasonable price and used top notch materials.

We used Kitchens by Curio for a redesign and upgrade of our ten year old kitchen. Frank came to our home, helped us conceptualize an approach and developed a plan for us. We then used Curio to oversee the job including the carpentry, electrical, plumbing, granite counters and appliance selection. We did not replace our cabinets which is an important point because many firms are really in to selling new cabinets and won't do the rest unless you buy cabinets from them. Frank was prompt. A good communicator and was on the job every day at least long enough to orient the subcontractor and make sure the work was in track. He was meticulous about getting every aspect right and constantly offered insights and sought our views. The results were terrific. We feel that we got a terrific new kitchen and made a new friend. We would unequivocally recommend him!

Complete demolition and remodeling of the 1950's kitchen and powder room and the creation of a master bath and walk-in closet on the second floor in colonial revival house built in 1925. Curio and Frank designed the project after several consultations with us about how the rooms should function. They provided several designs that we discussed and modified to arrive at a final design and price. They were careful to specify the details of the appliances and the work to be done but were willing to make changes or suggest changes when the reality of the "old house" required rethinking of the original plan. They are not only first class designers but also great project managers who kept the work moving on schedule and on budget. Once construction began, they showed up everyday until the job was done 4 months later. The is the fourth major kitchen remodeling we have been through and it was by far the best experience we have ever had. They are five star plus in my book.

I enjoyed working with this company. I thought that Frank was easy to work with, listened to our wishes and was friendly and polite. I appreciated that he seemed to have a nice relationship with his handworkers and that he put in time at the jobs himself. I would hire this company again.

A commenté : what are dimensions for this kitchenFrom the front of dishwasher to back of island walkway, you would need anywhere from10 to 11 feet. So, that would mean you would need a room a least 12 to 14 feet wide.

A commenté : Kitchen design help!You need better use of counter top space. Looks like you have a lot tall cabinets but limited counter where you need it. Island could be multilevel so as to not seem so big.
