Kristin Drohan Collection and Interior Design

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I purchased the Charles Bed in a size King. The Bed came in damaged and Kristian sent her friend over to fix this bed with wood glue which failed under 2 months. The headboard has a screw, where the hole was drilled to big, so the screw will not stay in and therefore the feet keep will not stay screwed into the headboard. I almost lost my cat when a friend came over and worked on my bed for 6 hours. He could not believe how bad the quality of the bed is and the money I spent to buy this bed. The bed squeaks and and constantly makes noises every time you roll over. The bed moves back and forth on the slats which is making the slats wear out very easily. When the bed moves back and forth all the time, the feet that keep the bed from falling are bent. I try to hit the feet with a broom, but they are bent so badly that they won't stay straight. I am so scared that I am going to lose one of my pets that sleeps under the bed. The bed is not stable and the not made for a heavy mattress. I have a King Tempur-Pedic mattress. The bed moves back and forth constantly that I have to move my pillow all night. When you wake up in the morning the fitted sheet looks terrible. I have asked for refund several times but Kristian is very difficult. I spent almost $4900 on this bed. If I had to move this bed would not make the move because it has so many defective parts. It would be nice if the feet would screw into the bolt and stay in place. The bed is too long and that must be the reason why the slats move back and forth. Overtime the bed slats are getting weak. This bed is a nightmare and I spend more time adjusting this bed everyday. I miss my old bed that was $1500. I spend a lot of time everyday on this bed. What a pain! The Charles Bed is cheaply made and should be removed from her line of beds. I would try another one of Kristian's bed since the Charles Bed is a complete failure. The Charles Bed has a design problem. Buyer beware!!!! I just want my money back, so I can buy a bed that will last for many, many years.

This is a smart and savvy business woman with a keen eye for detail. I am not only impressed with her collection of furnishings but also her willingness to share with colleagues her business wisdom and design savvy. How people interact with colleagues when there is no agenda involved tells you a lot about a person as well as a business owner and their level of commitment to their craft. . It also is indicative of one's passion for the the industry at large and the concern for best practices and cultivation of skills in others.

We have been working with Kristin for several years now. We moved into a new house in 2010 and Kristin has been with us every step of the way. We moved into a much bigger house and basically started from scratch. Kristin helped us finalize the design selections and upgrades to our homes and has worked with us throughout the process of converting one room at a time. Working with a designer like Kristin has saved us a tremendous amount of money and time – we are purchasing timeless pieces that will take us through many years. Kristin understands our styles and pushes us to think outside the box and try new ideas. She understands that we have kids and need to balance aesthetics with durability. Her most recent project was to turn my 5 year old daughter’s room from a nursery into a little girls bedroom but with a design that would take her well into her teens – it’s every girls dream bedroom. We love Kristin soo much that we work with her remotely – I can’t imagine finishing a room in my house that wouldn’t have a “Kristin touch!”

Kristin, called me up and asked me if i was interested in a design project she had an idea about, of course i accepted. I met with her at the location, she gave me what i thought was an amazing plan with wonderful ideas. once done and the job was complete, the end product was definitely a master piece that one has to see to really appriciate. Kristin is full of all types of ideas and visions. It is very rewarding to work with such an individual who has this much talent. I can't wait untill the next project that she has in mind.

I love working with Kristin. My first interaction with her was when she came to my rescue several weeks into a project finishing my basement. The GC I hired needed me to start providing several of items I was responsible for providing... flooring, shower faucets, etc. I was unprepared and needed help (wrong floors/color = expensive mistake). When I contacted Kristin she was sympathetic to my situation and didn't hesitate to help even though it was extremely short notice and already extremely busy. I am grateful for the help but more importantly, I'm lucky to have had her expertise. She stayed on the project and helped guide me through to the end with furniture, colors, window treatments, lighting, accent pieces, wall decor, custom/commissioned artwork, etc. The experience couldn't have been more pleasurable. Kristin is incredibly professional. She's easy to work with and knows her craft well. She listened to, what I will call, my basic and incomplete vision and made it come to life. Even when her expertise differed from my opinion... I allowed her to make the call. And I am happy I did... she was right every time. After such a wonderful result in the basement, I've asked her to now help me remodel my kitchen.

I hired Kristin to assist me with the interior design elements of our home remodel beginning in the fall of 2014. What was originally anticipated to be a minor remodel turned in to a much more complete renovation of which Kristin was a key element in its success. Kristin not only provided all of the interior design elements for the main floor of the house, but also worked hand in hand with the contractors on layout and construction elements. She took into consideration the way in which our family would live as well as our design aesthetics and incorporated those flawlessly into the construction, even providing suggestions and changes to the layout of major elements of the renovation which I would not have envisioned, but now love in the finished project. In addition to being a true partner in this significant renovation, Kristin is an incredibly talented interior design professional. She took the time to truly discover my taste and then make suggestions which were both beautiful and functional. To this day, the individuals that visit our home remark on how beautiful the furnishings and finishes are with each visit. Kristin was able to add in key elements such as lighting, cabinetry and countertops which upgraded our home significantly and completely changed the look to something much more sleek and elegant. The fabrics and furnishings that Kristin suggested and incorporated into the finished construction are stunning. I enjoyed working with Kristin so much that I asked her to remodel my office suite at work and am looking now for the next project in which to utilize her talents.

Kristin did a fantastic job with our project, her keen sense of style and attention to detail was exactly what we needed. Kristin's furniture fits perfectly, looks exceptional and is well complimented by all of our house guests. Great job Kristin!!!

Having numerous KDC pieces in our main home, we knew the durability would hold up well in a beach house and that her design would far surpass the "cookie cutter" beach theme that exist on the coast. We love the final product for its unique, modern style that incorporated over 10 of our custom KDC designs. She was able to deliver from her NC factory and other suppliers to a final product in 60 days so we could enjoy the summer season with our kids--awesome!

Kristin is extremely good at listening to what her clients prefer and creatively selecting fabrics, furniture and decor that fits the space well. When there were items such as a light fixture and fabric styles that I didn’t love, she went back and forth with new options until we found the perfect combinations for my space. She was very patient and never pressured me as I hesitated on some purchases. The end result is amazing! I received one light fixture damaged and Kristin worked quickly to have the item replaced. The damaged fixture picked up from my home by the supplier so it was a simple transaction. I will be using Kristin again when we start the entertainment room renovation.

Kristin was a pleasure to work with our on project. She learned about what I liked and was able to use some of our pieces to make the room look like "ours" but better. She was practical in her advice on where to save and where to splurge and I felt that she also took into consideration we have kids/pets and an active house. The final product was better than we could have hoped.

Kristin completely changed the look and feel of our home several years again when she redesigned the space in our living, family, and dining rooms. It is amazing how her design improved our lives. Two years later, we still look around with awe at her perfectly executed vision. She used several of her signature pieces. My favorite purchases are the "Jack" host chairs in linen, which were monogrammed with our initial. Everything is so well coordinated that we can move pieces within these rooms as needed when entertaining. LOVE EVERYTHING! The quality of the furniture in her line is top knotch. I also like that it is eco friendly and easy to care for. I heartily recommend Kristin's design services and her furniture without reservation!

My husband and I hired Kristin Drohan for Interior Design services for our 6,000 sq ft home. We communicated our initial ideas for the space and let Kristin have complete design creativity. Kristin's ideas are amazing! She compiled a complete rendering of the space which included furniture, rugs, tables, lamps, light fixtures, etc and and brought multiple fabric, wood and wallpaper samples for us to preview. Kristin is very flexible and patient and follows the direction of us, the client. We changed our mind on a few items and she embraced them and worked with us every step of the way! Kristin was excellent in presenting all prices to us and she stayed within our budget. Kristin designed some "one of a kind" furniture pieces for our home: living room sectionals, ottomans, wing chair & ottoman, bench, upholstered bed and captain dining chairs. Every furniture piece is exquisite with detail, the highest of quality, extremely comfortable and fits the space perfectly! These pieces were all designed and manufactured (in the USA) by the Kristin Drohan Collection. Kristin kept us updated on the entire production process from the moment the order was submitted to the expected shipment date. Kristin even took a trip to the factory to personally inspect all furniture pieces before they shipped. We love our new furniture and get so many complements from friends and family! I wake up everyday in my dream home. Thank you Kristin!!!
