In 2016, I called Bachman's after several failed attempts at hiring other landscapers. At this point I was frustrated and wanted a timely response and follow up. Richard Woldorsky called me back within an hour and met with us a couple days after. He spent a lot of time asking what we'd like, measuring the space, and gave us an idea of his design ideas and project cost before he left after our FIRST meeting. We finalized our project plan shortly after that first meeting and then just had to wait a few weeks past the early spring for the install. The installation crew was just as wonderful as Richard. I would recommend Richard and Bachman's to anyone wanting a beautiful landscape without the frustration of non-responsive contractors.”

Tom has been helping us landscape our yard, bit by bit, for over 10 years. We started with new construction, which chewed up most of our budget. But Tom assured us that creating a beautiful yard was a process and one that could be managed in bite sized chunks. He created a beautiful plan for us, so we could see what the end state would be - complete with pictures of each plant. Each year Tom comes over to see how the prior year's planting have taken. We tell Tom our budget and agree on what to do next. Over the years our plan has evolved and Tom has graciously kept up with my "hey Tom, I saw a pretty bush, can we fit one of those in the yard?" He's also successfully navigated my husband's desire to plant an evergreen forest with our kids' desire to have trees to swing in and plants that can be stepped on with my desire to have some light for gardening! We're very happy with our yard. Most of our plantings have more than thrived, but for the very few that haven't, Bachman's guarantee is great.

We asked Tom to design a landscape plan for our new home. Working with my wife and I we developed a plan that we loved and was within our budget. Tom was always there to give me advise about caring for our plants. Some didn't make it through the winter. Tom was there the following spring to replace those plants with hardier plants that have done well. Tom is always available to answer questions and is a pleasure to work with. I would gladly recommend Tom Haugo.

tom has been wonderful to work with...prompt, efficient,and knowlegeable! we have had a 23 year relationship...we built our house 23 years ago...he planned all of the landscaping and has continued to be the one i call for assistance!! very nice to work with....jane and jack hess

Tom designed our entire yard years ago and has helped us maintain it with upgrades throughout the years. His latest design created a wonderful garden of mixed plants with stone edging where there had once been several dying evergreens. We are extremely happy with his work.

Tom Haugo is a 10 star Landscape designer. He is very educated in all areas of design planning and implementation. He has always listened to our wants/needs and offered up creative/workable plans. He has handled large and small projects for us. Tom has sooo much expertise. He makes it effortless. He has done all types of design for us: textural shrub beds elevated flower beds boxwood hedges patio hedges boulder walls maple arbors brick entrance posts privacy hedges of evergreens paver patios stone paths There is nothing Tom cant design and produce for you. He has made our house the Standout on the block. His customer service far exceeds expectations everytime. Tom was extremely professional and did an amazing job for us. He coordinated the replacement of two decks, two retaining walls, two patios, a fence, and many plantings, several of which involved different sub-contractors. His design was unique and functional, and he was extremely responsive to our requirements and change requests. Finally, he and Bachmans were very easy and flexible to do business with, including the billing for all the work. Tom did an excellent job, and we would have no hesitation in working with him again. He has my highest recommendation!

Tim did a great job on our project. He was respectful of our views, always proposing ideas based on our input as well as offering up alternatives that were usually better than our amateur thoughts. We originally did only the front yard but it turned out so nice that we had Tim do the back and side yards the following year. Tim never pushed - He was just there to work with us when we wanted.

We have had the pleasure of working with Bruce Herbst on two projects. He is extremely knowledgeable about plants and had excellent ideas for us. He listened intently to us as we partnered to create a yard that we would enjoy. I have called him on more than one occasion to complement him on the plants he chose as well as the layout. We love our landscaping!! As spring rolls into summer, a variety of plants bloom and create new interest. When we have had questions (perhaps about the health of a particular plant), we know we can call Bruce and that he will get a timely and informative reply. Bruce is an expert at creating beautiful landscape design. I have recommended him to several friends over the years.
