Since completing a huge restoration/renovation of our country homestead some years ago, aided by the guiding hand and thorough commitment of Larissa Davis of Lewisham Interiors, it was soon after purchasing our Melbourne getaway apartment, that we realized we'd well and truly require her assistance once again. Our need was a splash of colour, but not too much, artwork to fill our home with our personality and furniture such as dining to suit all occasions, with plush, comfortable seating and being suitable for a fairly tight space. It was all too much for us. Larissa's calming attitude and dedication lead us to a time now where we open the door upon our arrival each time, and we're instantly at peace and welcomed by our beautiful home.

We have once again turned to Larissa for assistance, this time at our holiday house, where we needed advice on some tricky paint colour choices and ideas for updating the kitchen. We have now completed the painting and the house is transformed. She has achieved yet another “WOW” factor for us. We had no hesitation in calling on Larissa’s expertise again, as a few years ago we wanted to modernise the entrance, living room and dining room of our 70’s house where layout made it difficult to get a harmonious feeling. Larissa came to our rescue. She had wonderful ideas but importantly for us, would narrow them down to a couple of serious options so we weren’t overwhelmed with decision making, with a tactfully suggested recommendation that invariably was the way we went. She oversaw all aspects: wall treatment, colour selection, new furniture and restoration of some furniture, the brilliant placement of mirrors that have done so much for lightening the room and bringing in the outside garden, our favourite pictures reframed so they complement each other and the room, curtains, blinds, down to the detail of ornaments and even the colour, size, and placement of the books on our bookshelves. We continue to get a thrill when we walk into these rooms. Subsequently Larissa has helped us with clever ideas for other rooms in our house and we have recommended her to several friends who have all been delighted with her work. We wholeheartedly recommend Larissa and Lewisham Interiors.

We have hired Lewisham Interiors for two separate projects in the past 10 years. Over the past 6 years, Larissa has worked as interior designer on at least two major projects for my home. The latest one was the design, plans and specifications for the total renovation of the bathroom and laundry. Larissa is a thorough professional, who listened to my requirements then came back with suggestions and offered choices for layout, quality fixtures and finishings. I would have spent months trying to choose a tile. Larissa asked me what I wanted and didn't want, then bought over some samples. Then some more samples, from the tiles I liked. Tiles were chosen in two visits and from there most of other choices were simple. Larissa has a sound knowledge of products and local providers. While she aims for top quality fixtures and finishings, she is happy to offer alternatives. I am more than happy with Larissa's advice and can recommend her and Lewishams Interiors.

We engaged Larissa for a "WOW" factor project, in which we wanted a very large mirror installed in our spacious ensuite. She was able to take our muddled ideas to come up with a brilliant set of plans so we can go into our renovation feeling confident and happy. Lewisham Interiors entered our lives, via the Internet, in January 2015 and we are forever grateful that they did. We had downsized from a four bedroom house to a two bedroom apartment and we were struggling to make it work. After the initial consultation we believed that in Larissa we had found someone who understood our needs and concerns and would be able to deliver within a set time frame. By using colours, a large mirror and pieces of furniture that we would never have thought of, Larissa turned our apartment into the beautiful home it is today. Larissa also had no hesitation incorporating furniture that we had brought from our previous home. Neither of us ever considered red and black as two of our favourite colours but now our dining room chairs have been reupholstered in black, our recliner chair is red and many of our other pieces are either red or black. One of Larissa's many assets is her list of excellent Tradespeople/Craftspeople who she can call on at a moments notice and who deliver on time. Another that impressed us very much was that Larissa or Tarya were always on site when an item was being delivered or installed such as blinds, mirror, furniture (both new and restored) and new and reframed art pieces. Another asset is Larissa's 'fascination' with detail. Larissa designed a 'piece' of joinery for the study which incorporates cupboards, drawers, storage and a bar to die for. For this we received at least five sets of drawings all with a very slight change but each one an improvement on the previous. When contacting Larissa or Tarya, if not immediately available, it would only be a very short time before a reply would be received either by email, text or telephone. It has been a real pleasure dealing with Larissa and her Staff. It has been a journey of learning and great pleasure as we got to know Larissa and she got to know us. Larissa came highly recommended through a colleague, so when my wife and I began building our first home and found that we were completely out of our depth with choosing things like colours, bench tops, cabinetry, flooring and everything else that needed selecting, we got in touch. We were introduced to Lewisham Interiors through our builder to assist in the interior design of our new home. During this design process, we worked closely with the principle designer Larissa. She was friendly, hardworking and accommodating of our particular requirements and ideas whilst providing advice to achieve a balanced overall look. Larissa's passion and experience in classical style was evident when providing feedback and suggestions during materials and fittings selections. Besides interior design, Lewisham Interiors also provided us with some assistance in interior decoration. Although there were time restraints preventing completion of our project, Lewisham Interiors have always been available to follow up on any queries and are most obliging when asked for advice and are professional in their approach.

Larissa Davis of Lewisham Interiors, has been assisting my husband and I with our home interiors since 2008, when we started re designed our kitchen and dining area, and our bedroom. We can't speak highly enough of her. Our house is a Californian bungalow, with several major additions. Larissa has assisted us with choice of kitchen/dining floor tile, colour of cupboards, relocation of our dining room, design of dining room cabinetry, kitchen cabinetry, and soft furnishings in the master bedroom. She has dressed our bay room window in our front sitting room, and chosen superb scatter cushions for our couches, plus lighting and mirror. And she has just arranged for framing and hanging prints and mirror in our hall and passage way through to the back living area. They look stunning. She is currently organising the hanging of art work on a "cathedral" wall in our living area, plus lighting, and soft furnishings, and will be re designing the main bathroom for a start early next year. Larissa is extremely professional, she has an amazing eye for colour, detail, and how things fit in a room to create a natural flow and ambience. Rooms just "work" when Larissa is involved. Our home is an older style at the front, but contemporary at the other end. Our experience has been that she adapts to both periods effortlessly. She listens, and has not imposed her ideas on us, against what we wish. She gains insights into what we want, and then translates them. She takes you on the journey with her, is consultative, explains why things work a certain way, and the end result is a rich reward. Again, at all times, Larissa is extremely professional, deadlines are always met, and follow up is always good. She works well to a budget, and is always understanding of that. Larissa Davies, the Director of the company is a person who listens to clients needs, provides solutions which are congruent with client taste but maybe offer alternative strategies. She is meticulus about the work of her suppliers ie the myriad of different trades persons and artisans. Her real strength is design, which underpins everything. From there she branches out into colour, medium and location. She has worked in housing design projects for me for about 10 years as different things need to be done to my house. These projects range from soft fabric selection and installation, bathroom renovations and exterior house patio and carport design. Close friends are on-going very satisfied clients of Lewisham so I had an excellent understanding of what they could deliver. My need was to change a family home into one that would meet my changed life style as a single. I knew what I wanted but did not know how to get there The key to success was the experience the consultant brought to the initial discussion whereby I had the comfortable feeling that my needs were understood,and subsequently these were translated into a range of proposals. I chose to take progressive steps and over 18 months have introduced new interior colours,carpets, a clean sheet repositioning of all wall hangings,window coverings and most recently tasteful framing of some "raw" art works. Satisfaction all round and I have the warm feeling that the house is "me". After having moved into a Unit I tried to arrange the furniture in pretty much the default position. To make matters worse I unpacked all my items from my previous unit and placed them wherever they fitted (or so I thought) . Our ancestral home which has now been beautifully restored, extended and completely updated was built in 1889, with the addition of a formal sitting room in 1930. It had been uninhabited for many years and our desire was to bring it back to life and enjoy it as our forebears had done for so many years. We enlisted the services of Lewisham Interiors to assist us in all aspects of the build and restoration. Larissa was most helpful and courteous and without her support the project might not have eventuated. From working through the total plan layout including removal of portion of the structure, design of the new including the veranda addition, selection of finishes, colours, fixtures and fittings both external and internal, and further to the landscaping and detailed garden plan including driveways and pathways, her attention to detail was impeccable. She understood our needs perfectly and therefore delivered us more than we'd hoped for.
