moved 1200 pound safe down stairs to my basement. thought the back yard and did a great job. cost was VERY good

We used them to move and they were time efficient, however, they damaged our sofa in the process. We submitted a claim and contacted them numerous times, but haven't heard back yet and it has now been 6 months since our move. They did move our items in the time promised. We will not be using them again.

I’ve lived in 8 apartments around the US in the past 7 years. This moving company has been the worst experience I’ve ever had. When I first booked, the woman I spoke with was friendly and helpful. I received an estimate and signed a contract online. The day of the move, my husband waited during and after the time slot for movers to arrive. At the end of the estimated time slot, my husband called the company and they said they were backed up and would arrive later that day. When we asked why they didn’t let us know, we were told this happens all the time and he didn’t want to call us at two o clock in the morning when the back up occurred. So why did we not receive a call in the morning? He had no response but apologized and said it was common. Later in the day we called again and he said he was sending 4 men instead of 3 in an hour or two from a city an hour away. That night we called again and were told the truck was broken down and the rep said he was the only one who could fix it. He promised us he would have a crew there the next morning by 10am. The next morning my husband had to call out of work to wait for the supposed movers. They did not show up. He called at 10am but the rep did not pick up or call back. The rep later texted my husband and asked him to call back because he was on another call. He offered a 15% discount and my husband said he wanted to pay cash. The rep said he wanted to cancel the job unless we paid up front because he was afraid we wouldn’t pay and that it happens all the time. I reminded him that I signed a contract that says we do not have to pay until the job is done. He told me I never signed a contract and that it was only an agreement. I asked him to read the email again and he was silent for several minutes while he realized I did sign a contract. When I told him per the contract that we would pay cash after the job was done, he told me no and that he wanted to cancel the job. I am a reasonable person. I am highly educated. I am a teacher for heavens sake. I do not expect perfection. I understand things happen, but this is completely unnacceptable and someone needs to be held accountable. We are now forced to pay DOUBLE for a last minute moving company because this employee refused to honor our contract. Until I receive a fair and reasonable response from Special Ops moving, I will spend MY time sharing my story with every review website, local newspaper, friend, family member, or anyone else who is considering using this company. I have never needed to complain to a company like this. I have literally never written a bad review for a company before today. I find no joy in holding others accountable in this way, but feel I have no other choice. If Special Ops moving would like to resolve the situation by crediting me a reasonable amount to help compensate the damage they’ve caused and hundreds of extra dollars this move has costed my family, I would be more than happy to take down this review, or alter it to reflect their cooperation. I respect companies who try to make things right. So far, that has not happened.

If I could give negative stars, I would. This company was an absolute JOKE and they should be investigated. We hired Special Ops to move us out of our home in Aurora, store our belongings for a 3 week period and then move us into our new home in Northern Colorado. It wasn't until our move into our home that we experienced the nightmare that was Special Oops (I mean Ops). I called the day before out move to confirm that everything was on track. Leslie confirmed with me that we were scheduled for a 5/11 delivery with a 3pm-5pm window. She mentioned that they would begin loading their truck with our belongings at 8am and then be on their way. Again, she confirmed all dates and times. On 5/11 (our scheduled moved date) at 4:30pm I had not heard from anyone. I attempted to call. No answer. I tried multiple times with no answer. I was hoping to get an ETA and give more specific directions into the development as our home is not searchable on GPS due to it being new construction. I finally got in touch with "dispatch" around 5pm. He told me when he left the warehouse a couple of hours prior they were still loading my stuff and that "Mike the warehouse manager" would call me in about 15 minutes and if I didn't hear from him, call back. 30 minutes or so later I still hadn't heard from him so I called back. No answer. Mike finally called me and was rather flippant and snarky. He said they didn't start loading the truck until 11am. When I questioned why as Leslie had informed me the loading would begin at 8am he said "well it was close". Um, how is a 3 hour gap considered "close"?! He then became defensive and implied it was our fault because we "have a lot of stuff". If I'm not mistaken, you KNEW how much stuff I had well ahead of time. After all, you DID move it into your pods???? He then said they would be there at 8pm and "not to blow up his phone". 8pm rolls around and still no sign of them. No phone calls, texts, no movers. I try and call. No response. I try texting. Nothing back. He finally responds around 8:30pm to tell me they just finished loading the last pod and that he would call me in 15 minutes. 45 minutes later, nothing. No call, no text, radio silence. We try to call. No answer. We had to call repeatedly (16 times to be exact) to get him to answer the phone. While I do understand there are safety protocols in place while they guys are on lifts making them unable to answer phones, this was completely unacceptably. We received absolutely no communication from these guys on delays, status. We felt like we were being extorted with our own belongings. When Mike finally answered the phone he began cussing out my husband calling him a "pussy ass faggot" and asking him if he wanted to come down to the warehouse to "take care of things". He also threatened to show up the next day (implying there would be some sort of physical altercation). He was yelling at us for calling him over and over. Unfortunately, that was the only way we could get a response out of these people. It was like they were holding our items hostage. We finally got out of him that they would be at our home at 9am the next day. On 5/12 at 9am there was no sight of the movers (surprise). I ended up texting Mike and apologizing for the night before. I felt completely ridiculous for doing so as I am the one who should receive an apology but at this point I was willing to do/say anything to get our stuff! I also asked for their ETA. No response. It wasn't until my husband sent him a text stating that if we didn't hear back from them, we would have to get law enforcement involved that I heard back. Mike thanked me for apologizing saying that it was a long night (he never apologized to me or acknowledged that he was out of line) and said the movers were fueling and in route. At 11:30am they finally show up. When they opened the truck, it looked as though our belongings were just tossed and crammed in there. It was a mess. There was water dripping from the ceiling of the truck, a busted door that was practically rotting. It's a wonder our stuff didn't fall out on the highway on their way up! Boxes marked FRAGILE were crushed, lamps were bent, electrical cords were severed. However, that's minimal to what else we found- They broke all 3 of our TV's. One of them has evidence of water damage and a drop. They broke an antique clock from the late 1800's. Glass completely shattered out of it and the wood broken on the back. All of the pieces on this clock were original (including the glass). This is irreplaceable. I have a 30 year old rocking horse that my grandfather made that they broke the foot off of. It was clear that absolutely no consideration was taken when dealing with our items. We are not sure if items were broken out of retaliation or if it was just a complete lack of care/concern. To be treated in the manner that we were was inexcusable. To be called names, sworn at and yelled at was not appropriate or professional. All we wanted was communication and no one could give us that. It is a terrifying feeling to have EVERYTHING YOU OWN in someone else’s possession and not be able to get ahold of anyone. I feel if I wouldn’t have called repeatedly to FINALLY get someone on the line, no one would have called me to let me know of any delays.

Have used them 3 times now. Always very efficient, courteous and careful with my furniture. When they packed my things last year for storage, everything was wrapped carefully so nothing was scratched. Then this year when I moved they unwrapped and placed things exactly where I wanted them. Would recommend them highly!

I recently moved from Sedona, AZ to Plantation, FL with your company. I would like to pay a compliment to all who assisted in the move. From my first conversation with Alice, to conversations with Alejandro (I think) and George Santos and his assistants it was a wonderful experience. The customer service was terrific and the move went without a hitch. Moving cross country is a stressful endeavor and your employees made it easy. I would recommend you to any friends and family. We had an excellent moving experience with special ops. The team came in time, they were very professional and efficient, and worked very hard to finish everything earlier than expected. thank You.

If you are considering using the services of this company - DO NOT! Do not put yourself through the frustration. We hired this company to do a two part move. Moving a few pieces to an apartment and the remaining pieces to storage. We were given an estimate that would include two separate trucks w/ 3 movers in each. Our understanding was that one truck would move the apartment pieces and the other would move the storage pieces. My husband and I even took the time to label and separate apartment and storage pieces for easy identification. Logical, right? Well for some reason they decided to load everything on both trucks mixing the pieces and taking things to storage that was not suppose to go and bringing things to the apartment that should have gone to the storage. It also caused us to go over the estimated time by several hours. After the final load was brought to the apartment and we informed them that they did not load the washing machine and brought 4 area rugs that were suppose to go to storage, we were told they would not be taking the rugs to storage (they left them all in the middle of the living room floor of a tiny two bedroom apartment) and they would not be hooking the washer/dryer up bc they were not going to remove the base of the machines to do so. I've placed calls to the person that set the move up as well as the owner of the company. There was so much more that went wrong with this move (broken furniture, cabinets removed and still on the truck, etc.) but I'll spare you the rest of the details. Just know that this company failed miserably with a simple two part move.

had two guys form Special ops help us move last month from our house. It was the best experience!! The two guys were prompt and courteous and were cognizant of the fact that we were paying them by the hour and were running to get the job done in a timely manner. In all we moved from a three bedroom house and it took them 5 hours to move us. None of our furniture was damaged and they were careful to lay down protection for our carpets and floors. (We own some very big heavy pieces) It was a pleasure to do business with them. Two thumbs up!!
