Lulu Designs is a full service interior design firm that specializes in creating compelling, practical and original interior design for informed clients who care deeply about the spaces where they live, work, learn and play. With aim to evoke emotion, I believe that whatever mood is craved by a client, it can be acquired through superb design. I understand with every project comes a push and pull between function and aesthetic, practicality and beauty, and most importantly, carte blanche and budget. Beginning her career in interior design 18 years ago designing custom furniture for friends and family, Lindsay Olson, the owner and lead designer, found her passion and decided to learn every aspect of interior design. After obtaining her first degree in Business Administration: Marketing from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, she graduated from the FIDER accredited Interior Designer’s Institute. She designed model homes for various prominent builders averaging 25 homes installed per year. Since making Lulu Designs a full-time, full-service design firm, she has been designing custom homes and high-end residential design, expanding into commercial interior design and healthcare.

Working with Lindsay and her crack team of professionals (shout out to Nick the Painter!) at LuLu Designs was easily one of the best decisions (and investments) I’ve ever made. From the very start, I found her to be exceptionally attentive and responsive, as well as an excellent collaborator. If you’d prefer to just have an interior designer/builder rubber-stamp everything you say, I’d volunteer that she’s not the professional for you; but if you’re looking to mesh your creative wishes and ideas with someone who possesses not only the much-needed raw logistical mechanics, but who also has the heart of an artist, then Lindsay should absolutely be your first call.

I highly recommend Lindsay! She helped us remodel our kitchen and family room. She is so easy to work with and brings years of experience and expertise to any project, big or small. There are many things that set her apart from other designers. 1. She thoughtfully works with YOUR style to renovate and refresh your project. 2. She is very considerate of your budget and will show you ways to save or where to "splurge". 3. She doesn't push trendy design for the sake building her portfolio for Instagram. 4. She is very respectful of your time. I found this very thoughtful as my project was billed by the hour. Most often she came over and we powered out what we had to do in an hour. Well worth the investment to avoid costly mistakes. I am looking forward to working with her again on my primary bath and bedroom.

She was absolutely wonderful to work with in every aspect – professional, personable, responsive, detail-oriented, organized, and hardworking. She additionally has an amazing eye for detail and design, and used that to guide us in each decision that we made. We are not only extremely happy with the result – which is beyond what we imagined, but we also entirely enjoyed the process it took to get there – which was seamless, within budget, and on schedule. Lindsey was wonderful to work with and I highly recommend her! I wasn't exactly sure how to describe what I was looking for in my living room but somehow she nailed it and it is the most dreamy and inviting room in our entire house... everyone that comes over comments about how beautiful it looks now that Lindsey got her hands on it. She was also able to help me style and organize a few other areas of our home with just things I already had on hand. I look forward to the next room she does for me!!

Linsday at Lulu Designs is AMAZING!!! She is incredibly talented, organized, impeccable in her taste, a tremendously hard worker and a complete professional. She worked miracles to transform our kitchen in 11 days while we were away on vacation. We came home to our dream kitchen which was turnkey perfect and we LOVE it - talk about an extreme makeover moment!!!! Her dedication to making sure everything happened on schedule, on budget, and smoothly was outstanding. I never worried about a thing while I was away. She also did an extraordinary job selecting the materials/fabrics which tied in perfectly with our existing decor. Selecting to use Lindsay was the best decision we made and it made the whole process seamless and we absolutely love the finished product!!! I would HIGHLY recommend Lulu Designs.

Lindsay has been a joy to work with. I'm in a position where I have a very tight budget. Lindsay was more than gracious to work with me and within the parameters of my budget. She is incredibly talented, creative and flexible. She worked within my timeframe and has been incredibly patient with my need to do things on a project by project basis. She always listens to me and respects my ideas. She is the perfect designer for someone like me who has a difficult time make decisions as I felt most comfortable relinquishing control to her. Anyone who hires Lindsay will be beyond thrilled with her work and attention to detail. She and I aren't done yet and I can't wait to see what she has in store for me for the next project.

Lindsay Espinoza, Lulu Designs, was in charge of remodeling and decorating my home, from hardwood floors, some structural changes, baseboards throughout, resurfaced kitchen cabinets, drawers and pulls, along with selection of area rugs, furniture, and pictures. Lindsay's contractor and workmen are first rate. In addition, all furniture, rugs and decorator items were ordered by Lindsay and arrived at my home in a very timely manner. The entire remodel etc, a major project, was competed in about 4-5 weeks. I recommend Lulu Designs and Lindsay to anyone who wants to remodel or decorate their home. She is the best!

This competent, energetic woman came in with a breath of fresh air. She helped us update our draperies and some upholstery. We live overlooking wetlands with oceanview. Somehow the simplicity of the transformation caused the view to become "a beautiful picture". The illusion of the old heavy valances made it seem as though we were looking beneath them to our view. Lindsay is not one to hold back on other ideas than what we hired her to do. Her expertise caused me to relax and just enjoy choosing only what my husband and I loved! We are now in the process of working on our living and dining rooms as well as a bedroom. What would have taken me months to do on my own with days lost and much uncertainties is done in a few hours. Lindsay's combination of expertise, competence and humility causes me to truly enjoy my times with her. husband and I enjoy our "new home" so much!!
