Marino Construction did an absolutely wonderful renovation of the kitchen in our 1920's tudor style home. We hired Marino based on their reputation and they did not disappoint, in fact, they exceeded our expectations. Sam Trentadue, the owner, and his crew are professional, knowledgable, courteous, caring people who want your project to be done right. We worked with both their former designer, Amanda Johnson, and current designer, Laura Knight, and they designed a kitchen that is functional, beautiful, and in keeping with our vintage home. We love our cabinets, quartz countertops, glass subway tile backsplash, and paint colors all chosen with the help of Marino's professionals. We really appreciated the fact that Marino understands old houses - ours is 90 plus years-old - and they know how to deal with old plumbing, wiring, insulation, plaster walls, etc.. We stayed on budget through the project and feel that the quality of the work is outstanding. Our renovation included complete demolition of a 1970's era kitchen, exposing a brick stove chimney, flat studding exterior walls and insulating them, removing 4 layers of flooring to the joists and installing a new hardwood floor, hard coat plastering of the walls, new wiring, new sink and disposal with new drain and supply lines, new lighting including under cabinet lights, installation of new cabinets and quartz countertops with glass subway tile backsplash, construction of a custom 8ft. breakfast bar, and custom baseboard and trim installation. Living without a kitchen during renovation is hard, but having the Marino crew on site was a pleasure. I would not trust anyone else with my home and we will be scheduling a major bathroom renovation with Marino in the near future. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top-quality kitchen and bath contractor.
Fast forward to December 2016 - Marino has completed our Master Bath renovation and they have done another outstanding job. This renovation required the existing bath to be completely gutted floor to ceiling. They sealed a second doorway in the bathroom and re-plastered and re-trimmed the wall in the adjoining room to match the original 1920's plaster and wood trim. New plumbing, new wiring, new tile floor, new lighting, new ventilation, new window, new toilet, double vanity with quartz countertops, tall storage cabinet, and custom built-in open shelving where the narrow, ancient linen closet had been were all part of this reno. The original cast iron radiator was also removed and a euro-style towel bar radiator was mounted on the wall. A beautiful new tub-shower was installed with subway tile and custom trackless glass doors. As usual, the workmanship is top quality and the crew was fantastic to work with. Our new bath is functional, and beautiful, and its vintage modern style is perfect for our old house. Sam Trentadue of Marino Construction is the best in the business. Experience, integrity, and attention to detail are his trademarks.
