Marras Lighting Design was founded in 2013 and is lead by Principals Jon-Carlo Marras and Ryan Curtis. The firm’s vigorous focus on creating innovative lighting solutions is driven by the belief that lighting should have dynamic layers with sophisticated controls that are simple to use. In the rapidly emerging industry of lighting and technology, Marras strives to be at its forefront, and brings a fresh and inventive approach to every project. The company works as both a design-build firm and a collaborative entity—working with architects, designers and contractors to incorporate lighting and controls into spaces as they are built from the ground up.

I was in desperate need of a lighting designer because my project was about to start and there were... issues... with my very temperamental one. I approached Jon blindly, without reviews, hoping he would take a small residential job. And he did. It was a wonderful experience. Jon is nice, knowledgeable, scientific and well organized. It was a pleasure to work with him and I love the way the lighting came out. I strongly recommend him.

I've known Jon-Carlo for a number of years through events at the International Landscape Lighting Institute. Overseeing tree concerns on his recent project was a great experience. He is direct, clear and careful of the clients' concerns while still being open to information from all the parties involved.

Jon-Carlo is my official "go to guy" in outdoor lighting. I am a garden designer in NYC and when a client is interested in truly lighting their garden I'm relieved to have Marras Illumination to turn to. Jon-Carlos just finished a lighting project on my terrace (NYC, Union Square area). The project was a little complicated and I'm incredibly particular about lighting so it took some back and forth to settle on a design, but the guys were very accommodating and professional, detail-oriented, and executed well. Recommended.

When you first contact Marras Illumination it becomes evident that you will receive prompt, courteous, reply whether it be via phone call or email. In Marras Illumination you have an experienced professional with good knowledge of property illumination whether it be a large estate or a small cape cod. My wife and I used Marras Illumination to illuminate our specimen Beech Tree in our backyard. Even though it was a small project, it made a big difference to the aesthetics of our property. We were really impressed by Marras Illumination.

Marras Illumination is a great company to work with for exterior lighting design. I have worked with the principal, Jon-Carlo on several occasions. He is consistently easy to work with and always does what he says. If you want a superior lighting design, punctual and budget-oriented installations, Marras Illumination is the best company I know.

A commenté : Is this downlighting and uplighting on the trees?Hi Jackie. Yes, this is a combination of up and down lighting. We use glare shields for glare control, so it's very difficult to tell where the light is coming from.
