Michael P Design is a full service interior design firm based in Buffalo, New York, offering design and décor services for residential and commercial projects. Established in 2005, our signature design artfully combines classic contemporary styling with the understanding of architectural details. We approach every project with a unique artistic vision infused with your own personal style. We believe that interior design has the ability to change someone’s entire world. With twenty plus years in the field, Principal Designer Michael P leads an experienced team of highly qualified design professionals and support staff specializing in interior design. We have made it our mission to spark the conversation about design in our great city. We strive to bring our worldly ideas and inspiration to our customers and fans across Western New York and beyond. Michael Poczkalski is the owner and principal designer of Michael P Design and room buffalo. He holds a Master’s degree in architecture from the University of Buffalo and attended Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design Loeb Fellowship Program. Michael P’s training in architecture gives him the ability to design an interior that perfectly complements the grandeur of a building while implementing modern day design trends. Michael P has received accolades for his design work at the Hotel Lafayette, a monumental preservation project for the city of Buffalo. He was awarded the Preservation League of New York State’s “Excellence in Historic Preservation” award, and was most recently named “Top 100 Interior Designers” by Design Bureau Magazine for his design at the Hotel Lafayette. Michael P is also known for his work as Design Producer on HGTV’s American Rehab Buffalo, and Project Manager/ Designer for House Hunters Renovation Buffalo.

My husband and I began a very tedious, lengthy, renovation project that began in February 2016. We essentially gutted our kitchen and remodeled the rest of our first floor. We needed assistance with the kitchen/half bath design and decided to contact Michael. He completely redesigned our kitchen in a way that we would have never thought feasible with our budget! Then Sandra assisted with all the design elements. They were both patient and willing to work with our ideas. We couldn't be happier with the renovation! I have never used a designer before and now understand why they are so important and helpful! I would highly recommend Michael P Design and I look forward to using them again for our next project! I just opened a new snowboard/ skateboard/ clothing boutique and Raelyn helped me take my crazy concept and put it into an AWESOME reality! From space wall paper, a custom counter, to tapered doorways, and gold walls. She is so helpful, creative, and helps find the most affordable options.

I enlisted the help of Raelyn for a revamp of a boring living room. Needless to say she has since brought life back to my living room, family room and created the most beautiful nursery for my daughter due this December. Raelyn took the time to listen to my design wishes and incorporate my style into her own design elements. She has created a living space that my husband and I adore. She is the best!!

I can't imagine taking on any projects again without Raelyn's help! She has been unbelievable to work with - she was able to help with every aspect of building a new house. She was also available around the clock and really made all the decisions so much easier for me. Ive already enlisted her help for a future project and renovation, I can't wait to see what she'll come up with next!

My husband and I had been living in our 50 year old house for five years and endlessly discussed remodeling options. You know, things like, "What if we took down this wall here ... ?" Once we decided to remodel, we knew we wanted help with layout, design options, and selecting contractors. Raelyn was incredibly awesome with everything. She came up with a floor plan that we had never considered, proving her expertise early on. She helped keep our overall vision on track and on budget. And being pregnant throughout the project, Raelyn was great with doing a lot of legwork when I just didn't have time or energy. I can't recommend her enough, choosing Raelyn was one of the smartest decisions we made during our renovation!

Michael and his staff were amazing. I couldn't imagine building a house without a designer... I searched and searched all over Buffalo and the only one who fit what I was looking for was Michael P and his Room staff... It is a decision I do not regret at all... We worked together over the 9 months my house was being built and are still working on projects a year later. People walk in my house and are in awe. It is exactly what I was looking for and I cannot say enough about the service I received.
