Excellent experience remodeling our kitchen, 3 bathrooms, and family room. The Morse team is creative, talented, professional and fun. They work with the best subcontractors in the area who are all skilled perfectionists. Follow through and communication was great. We were especially happy the project stayed on schedule with very few change orders. We love our remodeled house and highly recommend Morse Custom Homes!

The work was excellent but behind the work was a man who made my wife's need to modify a few things easy. I, as a husband, took copious notes of how he did that. It was nothing short of a miracle. His name is Ron, the foreman who oversaw every incremental step along the way. He made all the difference in the world. That's a skillset I don't think is taught in any school.

We wanted to add an outdoor room to the back of our house. Morse Custom Homes and Remodeling helped us design it, and then built it. The designers, Diana and Ricardo, were excellent. They was meticulous and explained both their suggestions and the reasons behind them. They was very good at incorporating our ideas and thoughts. As for the construction, Morse did a great job of building the outdoor room. The quality of the work was wonderful. And Marty Morse is a pleasure to work with; he knows his stuff, and how to manage the work. All in all, we are very happy with both the process and the result. The board of directors of a sorority house corporation engaged Morse to design/build a major renovation of one of the original custom homes in Davis, CA. The home is listed as an historic property and is about 100 years old. It's service transitioned from housing families to use by the sorority in 1982. The project focuses were complete plumbing replacement, renovation of the kitchen and bath areas, upgrade to heating and air, and installation of new floors. Morse worked with us for a couple of years before actual construction began in March 2020. Their representatives were patient, helpful, creative, sensitive, honest, and understanding as we worked to obtain the funding and approvals necessary to begin work. Their communication and responsiveness during design and construction were stellar. We also found using Buildertrend during construction to be easy and helpful. Miraculously, there were really no unpleasant surprises when the walls were opened, a tribute to the original craftsmen. The only glitch was with an appliance supplier and that was remedied quickly. The project came in on time and within expected budget parameters. Morse's craftsmanship is beautiful and of the highest quality. The young women who live there are thrilled with the improvements and our board feels we've given a beautiful and important old home many years of new life. It would be a pleasure to work with the Morse team again.

Our home was built in 1941. After a couple of past remodels and improvements, it lacked a unifying style. Due to its age, it needed some serious repair work overall. We wanted to remodel multiple rooms and extend our space, especially the kitchen and master bedroom area. After interviewing various companies, we selected Morse Custom Home and Remodeling for this task. Design Manager Ricardo Almanza is a true visionary. He was able to completely transform our home from a somewhat awkward and old-fashioned living space into an inviting, stylish, and functional one. We are also very grateful for the support of Interior Designer Diana Machado. With her great sense of style and color, she guided many of our choices sdown to the smallest details. I had been looking for an experienced and proven full-service company that would provide design, engineering, County permitting, HOA approval, construction, and interior decorating services under one roof, so I selected Morse Custom Homes and Remodeling, and I'm really glad that I did. I have always enjoyed the creative process and was glad to have a voice during the efficiently and professionally executed meetings (clients can be involved as little or as much as they desire). I also appreciated having the designer's input while working with my ideas as well as his own suggestions and touches - the fireplace surround finish that ties to materials in the kitchen is a stunning example, and one I would not have been able to create myself. Upon the advice of the Morse team, we used the Houzz App to find inspiration and communicate concepts and desired architectural examples, which was an extremely helpful tool. Additionally, the Morse designer provided me with CAD images of elevation/floor plans and amazingly useful 3D images that could be panned as if walking through the rooms. These were emailed to me, so I could view them on my laptop at home, which allowed me to see features and address many issues before and during construction. Throughout the various stages of construction, the project manager and the designer would conduct job walks with me so that details could be completed to my satisfaction. Older homes present unforeseen challenges. Ours was a 1970's 3300 sq. ft. townhouse, and the Morse team tackled every obstacle extremely well. Furthermore, their relationship with suppliers and sub-contractors (electricians, plumbers, etc.) is strong, so these issues could be dealt with relatively quickly. I also challenged the team with desired features and complexities that often were unfamiliar to them, and they willingly incorporated all of them. They learned to install an energy efficient low-voltage whole house floor heating system (Step Warm system), programable (hidden) motorized Lutron shades, custom lighting throughout, a prewired shaft (now a closet) for a future elevator, and Miele appliances with full panel overlays for Euro custom kitchen cabinetry. The result is a truly custom, extraordinary, state-of-the-art, well executed, comfortable home. While remodeling projects are often stressful, the Morse team went out of their way to minimize the impacts on me, always offering ingenious solutions at every hurtle. Two successful remodel jobs with Morse. First was large upstairs addition and extensive improvements to make the home energy efficient. Recent job was complete kitchen remodel and conversion of bathroom for disabled access. Final product breathtaking. Design and engineering excellent. All subcontractors knew their trades, workmanship without flaw.. Workers polite, knowledgeable, and thorough. Outstanding craftsmanship. Any glitches were handily remedied. Office staff always responsive to my needs. Highly recommend!

We recently completed our family room fireplace remodel. We hired Morse construction for the design and construction. They did a fantastic job with the design and stayed on budget. Ilaina was an outstanding designer and she really listened to us to give us exactly what we wanted. She was thorough and very detail oriented. We contracted with Morse to re-do two bathrooms in our house...the downstairs guest bath and the upstairs master bath. Marty Morse and his team was an absolute pleasure to work with, start to finish. And they were very accommodating of my unusual plan that I would build all the cabinetry. I had a very specific vision for the cabinetry so that it would blend well with other furniture pieces I had built earlier for the master bedroom. The guest bath was a standard shower-in-a-tub design. We wanted the tub removed and a stall shower built in its place. The master bath had a small stall shower and a giant Jacuzzi tub that we have not used for years because it wastes too much water. We wanted it removed, a nicer, larger stall shower built in, the vanities moved to the the other side of the room, and a large bay window removed. The design team of Ricardo and Kathy was really outstanding and helped us develop a floor plan that met our vision. And once they understood the wood selections I had in mind for the cabinets, they greatly aided and simplified the selections of tile and counter tops. The lead carpenter on our project, Ron Base, oversaw all aspects of the work and was a wealth of information. Besides being incredibly skilled, he was a really nice guy with a great sense of humor. He was a joy to work with throughout the project. I was also very impressed with the trades people they brought in to do the plumbing, electrical, sheetrock, stucco, tile setting and painting. The people who did the tile work (there was a team of two people) worked steadily for almost two full weeks and I consider them nothing less than artists. The highest compliment I can pay to the Morse team is that they were so good, we're going to have hem back next year to re-do our kitchen. And we know before we even start, it will be spectacular!

Working with Morse Custom Homes and Remodeling was a wonderful experience. From the design phase to the demolition right through to the amazing finished product I was impressed with everyone's professionalism and grateful for their knowledge and support. My ancient bathroom is now, as my son told his friend, probably the nicest room in the house. We were very impressed with the knowledge, helpfulness, orderliness and timeliness of Morse Remodeling. Our project was extensive, remodeling ~2/3 of our home. We had to continue to live in our home during the construction and Morse accommodated our needs in scheduling the phases of the project. From design to implementation to completion of the work the process was seamless as each trade partner did their part. The trade partners were courteous, competent and cleanly. The unforeseen complications were dealt with fairly and quickly. The cost came in at or below budget and the city inspectors approved every phase easily. The project was completed on time.

We did a major ADA addition to our house of about 1000 square feet. We are very pleased with the process, the plans and the product. The addition looks like it was part of the original house, and we now have a fully handicap-accessible bedroom and bath, a new laundry room, a pantry converted from the old laundry room, a new breakfast nook, and a garage/studio space with potential to convert it to an in-law studio unit. All of the employed and subcontracting workers all did a good job, and the project went smoothly, and finished close to the projected completion date. Work went on pretty continuously from beginning to end, without major delays. Day-to-day clean up was quite a lot better than most other contractors I have employed. The professional cleaning crew that came at projects end was excellent. More importantly, the quality of the foundation, framing, roof, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and finish work is essentially impeccable. I was concerned about the high cost of the project, but considering the added value of the home, it was well worth it. For us, this was a necessary expense and at the same time, a good investment. We are extremely happy with the look of our new addition, and are enjoying complements from our neighbors. Most of all, we are overjoyed to have a fully ADA bedroom suite, and a significantly larger house. Thank you so much, Marty, Lori, Dave, Mark and everyone else that helped!

It was an absolute pleasure working with the folks at Morse on our kitchen remodel. During the design phase, they asked the right questions and were able to define a style that was both beautiful and functional for our 1960s California ranch house. As we moved on to the construction, I was impressed again and again by Morse's organization and professionalism. Things happened on schedule and as they were meant to and I never had the feeling I didn't know what was going to happen next. Overall, they made this a very easy experience for us and results are beautiful. I'd do it again in an instant.

Morse did an amazing job! We purchased a 1956 ranch house in great disrepair and contracted with Morse to complete an end-to-end remodel that included an addition of a master suite. From estimation to design to construction to completion, Morse was professional, upfront, accurate, and timely. Furthermore, the project management was top notch - the year-long project was completed ahead of schedule and on budget. While any project of this size will have hiccups, Morse was consistently willing to quickly take care of the issues and ensure the job was done right. Furthermore, Morse recommended high-quality product vendors, and used very dependable and professional sub-contractors. We are very happy with our home and have already recommended Morse to others.

We hired Morse to remodel our two small bathrooms (approximately 50 sq.ft. each). Owner Marty Morse was very perceptive about the styles that would work for us. We worked closely with his designer Kris to work through many design alternatives. She had many helpful ideas and a lot of patience as we worked through our ideas. Kris also served as our "advocate" throughout the project and things progressed smoothly. The remodel involved gutting the two mid-1970s bathrooms completely. The Morse staff and subcontractors on site were thorough, patient and skilled. They were open to suggestions about the final details about installation of fixtures and tile. The project turned out very well and we are proud to show off their work to others. We felt that they were very respectful of our design and artistic ideas.

Morse Remodeling met with us to discuss a remodel of an addition added to our home in the 1970's. We required a reworking of the space in the back of our home to accommodate a combined multi-generational family. The process started with a meeting with the Morse Team that set a positive tone and explained the process in a very clear format. Morse remodeling remodeled two houses 3 different times. Pretty extensive...moving kitchens, enlarging rooms, moving walls, reconfiguring rooms, bathrooms, backyard kitchen, etc. All of our experiences were wonderful. Morse removed two walls opening up our living space. They put in new doors and windows, floors, trim, lighting and wiring for an entertainment system. They dealt efficiently with all required permits and inspections and ensured that all safety requirements were met. My husband and I wanted custom trim and they built it to our exact specifications. Morse remodeling undertook a remodel concept to transform our third car garage into a mulit-functional guest room/media room, replace all flooring, change out the stairs from carpet to wood and take a postage stamp backyard and turn it into a retreat. Ha, it was an insane goal and one we had no idea how to pull together. Marty and his team not only encouraged us to bring our ideas to life, they made our home an oasis. Every time I walk into the door, or out the back slider, I feel the tranquility I only used to obtain with a day at the spa. From designing our project, to implementation, to day to day oversight, every employee became like family. It was an intense four months and they helped ease the way every day. I hired Morse Remodeling to do a large remodel on my dining room and game room. Both rooms were to small to efficiently use, so we had Morse designers come out and work with us on how to combine the rooms and make it look like the origional builder had planned it. Our new space is a 10. Everyone who comes into our home remarks about how well the new space looks and feels. Our family has used the new space more in the last two months than past two years. We retained Morse remodeling to add a covered patio, add an additional room and update the finishes in our home. We were very pleased with the whole process. Marty did a good job of defining the scope of what we were going to do and giving us options. Andy was fantastic in coordinating all of the work, while allowing us to remain in the home. He always made sure that the job site was clean and safe, while also keeping us up to date of the progress. Marty Morse and his team worked with us to renovate our 30 year old kitchen. Marty listened to our needs, and personally recommended the way to improve the access to hot water at our tap. The designer, Amorette Casias, listened to our needs, came up with options and materials to update without replacing what worked for us. The construction team under Andy Malpass was quiet, neat and a pleasure to have in our home. The work area was left in condition that it could be used each evening. We have no criticism of their performance and highly recommend them.

I have had Morse remodeling do my entire first floor and the work was extensive, on budget and on time. All floors walls and cabinets were repalced. Support beam between the kitchen and family room was extended and support pillar moved to open the space. They installed new and larger windows (one wall with one small window is now dominated by 4 large glass panes that follow the roof line of the vaulted ceiling. They raised the entry way ceilings rerouted the ducting). During the course of the project the team made many valuable suggestions that improved the look and feel. We love it and so did our friends, 3 of whom subsequently used Morse for their remodels and all are thrilled. We were so pleased we had Morse back to do the upstairs bath (convert a tub into a walk in shower new floors and cabinets). On both jobs they came on or under budget and on time. His crew and their subs all did first rate work. And they were fun to work with. We've had Morse do four jobs and we would hire him again, absolutely.

Morse Remodelling did a complete make-over of my house, from the foundation up...a huge undertaking! We started planning in January of 2005, broke ground in July of 2005, and moved in October of 2006. They did a marvelous job...so good that the house was featured in Sacramento Magazine and won the award from NARI as the Judges' Choice for remodelling over $1 Million. Everyone that has visited the house adores the innovative architecture. I have workmen in the house that say it is the most spectacular house in the Sacramento area! The workmanship is outstanding. Most of all, Mary Morse was so easy to work with, and so full of insights. I highly recommend him!!!

Morse Remodeling just finished their third remodel for us. They "resurfaced" two bathrooms which involved taking the rooms down to the studs and resurfacing everything. We kept one tub but replaced everything else. As always, it was a pleasure to work with them. They kept us well informed on their progress.
