(A.) You chose not to have our company (or any company that we're aware of) perform lawn care maintenance on your new sod. Most, if not all, sod when not treated with weed-control and regular mowing, etc... will develop weeds from either the sod, the ground it's planted in, or the wind blowing it in from areas surrounding your lawn. We are sorry that your lawn ended up with weeds, but we did try to get you on our maintenance schedule each week to ensure that your sod received the best care.
(B.) Regarding the plants that didn't perform well: You sat down with our company and chose the Sky-Pencil Hollies for the bed (which are the only plants in the landscape that didn't do well). Normally, we recommend or discourage plants to our clients, because we know which ones will perform well in the area and which ones won't. Since the Sky Pencil Hollies were plants that we haven't used in the area before, the outcome of their performance was unknown and we disclosed that to you when you chose them. Once you notified us that the Hollies weren't doing well, we did come out and attempt to adjust the irrigation to provide them with more water to see if that helped, but it did not. We're sorry that your preferred plants didn't do as well as we all hoped. As we discussed with you, this is not the right time of year to replace plants and you are on our schedule to receive replacement plants in the Fall (most likely October, weather dependent).
(C.) Regarding the uneven sod and the low irrigation heads: We do apologize that it happened and we take full responsibility for it. We just want it to be clear, that MP Landscape did come out (within two weeks of you bringing it to our attention) and adjusted the irrigation heads and relaid the sod more evenly.
(D.) Regarding your communication with the owner, Matt, we're not sure which email(s) or phone call(s) he hasn't responded to, but we do know that he has reached out to you in the last month where he again explained the situation with the plants. We know that he advised you that waiting until Fall is the best course of action regarding their replacement. As frustrating as it is to have to wait, we will not come out in the heat of summer to replace the Sky Pencil Hollies, knowing that the replacements will die or perform extremely poorly, only to have to replace them again in the Fall.
We are so sorry that waiting until later this year is distressing for you, and we hope that when we replace the Hollies, that you will be happy with the outcome. We appreciate your business. Thanks for your review.
