Nancie Wood has worked with us on several projects during the past 20 years. Most recently she helped us with a bedroom and bath addition to our home. Nancie was involved in design elements as well as interior décor. Her suggestions and advice were always sound and helpful. She listened carefully to our input, and she was attentive to details. Nancie has helped us for 12 years with both small and large projects. All projects have turned out excellent! Our first large project was a total remodeling of our master bath, second bath and kitchen. This is an Award Winning project! Our second project with Nancie was recent. We bought a new house and before we moved in we made major changes including replacing all countertops, sinks, carpets and painting the interior along with wallpapering two rooms. Nancie Wood did an incredible job with assisting my move from a 3 BR house to a 1 BR apartment in a Senior Citizen Living Center. She helped me select and measure furniture for best placement in the new place, as well as selection of the floor and window treatments. She designed 2 pot shelves that were built in the new place to house and display my collection of NC pottery. After furniture was placed, she returned to select and hang my extensive collection of original art. She has a great eye for color, texture, and placement, with innovative groupings that enhanced the art. Nancie Wood was referred to us by our son & his wife. Both of us had recently purchased homes. We were really impressed with the work, the design, and the way she worked with them to come up with a plan and design that complemented their home. While our son & his wife were working with Nancie, my husband & I worked with the design people at a very large furniture store in Highpoint. We purchased furniture & carpeting for a couple of rooms, but the set up & designs of the furniture & carpeting did not go well. At this point we contacted Nancie and asked if she could help us as she helped our son. Nancie helped us to revamp our first floor living spaces. We were able to use most of the furniture we had already purchased. She got us to add a few pieces that made a huge difference in the design and use of both our living and family rooms. Nancie Wood designed a handicapped accessible apartment for me. It is perfect in every way and looks beautiful! She went far beyond basic designing by helping me unpack and place things to make the apartment a lovely setting. She is wonderful to work with and has great ideas. I have nothing but positive things to say about my experiences working with Nancie Wood. I relocated to the Raleigh area in 2005 and was fortunate to meet Nancie during an addition and remodeling project I had undertaken on my own. She saved me from some costly design mistakes. The family room addition, kitchen remodel, fireplace design, flooring, two bathroom redesigns, and all the selections for paint, wallpaper, furniture, lighting, accessories, etc. was effortless with her guidance. A few years later I moved to another home and called on Nancie to assist me with a remodel project that included the kitchen, family room, structural issue, fireplace refacing, two bathrooms and master bedroom. She had a good working relationship with the contractors and the final outcome was wonderful. While residing in this home I hosted the neighborhood Christmas party several times. Nancie arrived a couple weeks prior to the party date and decorated for Christmas. She even made suggestions for the table centerpieces which were lovely. Two years pass and I move and call upon Nancie. Now, 2018, I have moved to a senior apartment and Nancie helped me once again. She listens to your ideas and desires and offers suggestions that I would never have thought of or considered. Her eye for design and detail enabled me to keep furniture and accessory pieces that I thought I would have to sell as I moved to a small apartment. Her selection ideas for fabrics, paint, wallpaper, flooring, lighting, accessories, etc. and the people she works with have made each of my projects exactly what I hoped for. It has been such a pleasure knowing and working with Nancie. She is a true professional in all aspects of her work. My husband and I can't share enough positive feedback about our experience working with Nancie. She is truly an amazing designer who was able to make our vision a reality. She understood the balance of living with children and pets while still wanting to live in a beautiful space. Nancie has been our Designer for 4-5 years. She’s helped us with several projects, big and small. Our recent project was the remodeling of our kitchen. We replaced the counters and backsplash, and painted the cabinets. Nancie is great to work with! She asks us what we want to do and she guides us along the way of decision-making - she doesn’t “dictate,” she presents us with options and we decide. (Sometimes my wife and I disagree on an item and Nancie will “referee,” and help us decide). On a side/related note, I personally provide consulting services, although, I provide IT consulting. Some/many consultants dictate to the Client what should be done. Nancie doesn’t do this - she guides and helps and therefore my wife and I feel that we made all the decisions and the project is our project. Additionally, Nancie has a great team of contractors that do excellent work. These include our backsplash installer, electrician - we had a complicated situation - and cabinet painter. Nancie also schedules and manages the project. Everyone works together and the project gets completed on time and perfectly. Nancie is a first class professional and fun to work with! I can’t possibly reccomend Nancie highly enough! Previous projects that Nancie helped us with are the remodeling of our master bath, second bath, replacing fixtures, carpet and rug selections.
