Notting Hill Bathrooms

Ruth and her team completely renovated two bathrooms for me in North London in late 2019. Ruth is a delight to work with. She made the whole design and renovation process incredibly easy and stress free from start to finish and has produced two fantastic, modern bathrooms on time and on budget. Both bathrooms look great and have really exceeded my expectations. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to friends, colleagues and anyone else who is looking for a bathrooms design/renovation service. Ruth's team of builders (particularly Lucas and his team) were also excellent. They were extremely professional, knowledgable, and all of their work was of a very high standard. I would definitely use them again for future projects.

We are so happy with our lovely bathroom and really appreciate the hard work done by Ruth, who designed it, and all of the people who installed it, especially Karol, who was great to work with. Ruth was incredibly patient with me, gently guiding me through all the choices I needed to make (I get very anxious and indecisive about stuff like this!). She came up with some amazing tiles based on our conversations and on my reactions to images she sent me as suggestions. These pretty tiles make me smile every time I walk into the room. I've had fun getting new towels etc to match them, and figuring out where everything goes in all of the ample storage and alcoves. The deep alcoves above the toilet are great, as is the wonderfully enormous medicine cabinet. The terracotta tile floor is lovely, and the heated towel rail she sourced for us is both stylish and a good heater. There are many details that give me so much pleasure. For example, Ruth suggested a "rain" style shower, which, is lovely. She also insisted on a "soft closing" loo seat: I thought "who cares?" -- but this turns out to be one of the features that pleases me most, every time I use it.

The bathroom has exceeded our expectations in every way. The design was very well thought out, and the workmen were extremely diligent and perfectionist in their attitude. The result is a bathroom fit for a five star hotel.

Through my work I have photographed a number of Ruth’s and Barak’s projects and have always been extremely impressed by the design and style of the rooms and the quality and finish of the build. The clients I have met have without exception been very happy with the outcome. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to friends or using them myself!

Ruth was an absolute dream to work with! We completely renovated 2 bathrooms – one which was in an absolute state and had to be moved upstairs and one small WC that was added underneath our staircase. Ruth really made every single inch matter and was super helpful in making the hard choices. We hired Notting Hill Bathrooms to help with the bathrooms during a full renovation of our home. We had one bathroom on the ground floor that had to be removed for our extension, it was in an awful state from previous owners. We now have two beautiful bathrooms, one small and hidden under our stairs and another master bathroom on the second floor. Ruth helped us along every step of the way ensuring there was no concerns and everything ran smoothly. The design in both bathrooms is fantastic and fits with the rest of the house perfectly. From the design of the tiles to the colour of the plugs Ruth was meticulous in ensuring we ended up with the bathroom of our dreams.

We needed to replace our old bathroom that was showing its age. As we know nothing about design or fitting we searched for a company that would be able to take our rough ideas and turn them into a finished bathroom. We searched Houzz and decided to try out Notting Hill Bathrooms. From the beginning, we were very impressed! Ruth visited our house and viewed the bathroom, took measurements and discussed our rough ideas. She researched options, materials and fittings and provided us with a succinct list of things she thought matched our ideas. Ruth's knowledge of interior design is very impressive and, being busy, we were very happy we did not need to make too many decisions as her experience led to a design that would maximise the use of the limited space. During the design process, Ruth was always available to answer any queries we had and she provided samples for the materials which made it simpler to see what colours and textures we preferred. At the end of the design process, Ruth provided us with a detailed list of costed fittings and materials. Ruth then handed over to Robert and his team to carry out the installation. Robert was very polite and careful. His team installed dustsheets and covers for the carpets. The work was completed within the estimate and was, we think, very high quality. The cleared-up after themselves and left behind very little rubbish. We were so impressed with Ruth and her team that we asked her to also decorate our house and install LED lightening. Our house is very full of books and memorabilia. Again, Robert and his team with no fuss did a truly excellent job. The work is very high quality and Ruth and Robert even fixed some small damage I made when moving back into the house. All the work was carried out on time and within the budget. It is clear that Ruth and her team take real pride in not only doing good work but doing good work that you are happy with. Her knowledge, attention to detail and care are a reason we would definitely hire her again if we needed something done. I can think of no higher recommendation than being willing to use the organisation you recommend yourself.

Barak was very personable and extremely helpful from the outset when we met to discuss options for the bathroom and cloakroom. He was up front about potential issues and costs and came up with a number of very good ideas. We spoke to a number of companies and obtained several quotes. Barak’s quote was comprehensive and competitive and we liked his design and overall approach so we went with him. We also liked the way that he made the payment and works schedule very clear from the start. Barak’s team started on time and were polite and tidy and we appreciated their attention to detail and overall level of workmanship. They were also very helpful and on a number of occasions even gave us a hand carrying things in and out of the house, well beyond their remit. As we were unable to be on site, Barak always kept us up to date on proceedings and managed his team so that we didn’t have to deal with any other suppliers. Prior to installing the bathroom, the team checked the floor and in an area where there had been leaks in the past and therefore a potential issue with the integrity of the floor, they went ahead and reinforced the floor so that it was strong and provided a firm base. We were impressed, as it wasn’t something that we specifically asked them to do and they had gone the extra mile to ensure that they delivered a quality final product. They could not have bothered and we would have been none the wiser. The bathrooms were finished on time and on budget. We were very pleased with the end result and it had just the robust quality finish we needed. All has worked well and we haven’t had any problems to date. Barak always made sure that we were happy with developments as they happened and overall he and his team provided a great service. I am very happy to recommend them to others.

The quality of all the bathroom appliances was excellent, whilst still being affordable - their in house designer was so helpful in sourcing items that I wanted. She really understood what I was looking for, even when at times I did not know what that was! The build quality is great too, with nice, hard working builders. I am looking forward to using my bathroom for many years to come.
