She helped me design and renovate my study and did a fabulous job! She helped with furniture, paint, blinds, lighting and carpeting and also kept my budget in mind.

I enlisted Hillary on a project to refresh my living room and dining area. She provided just what I needed which is a roadmap on how to proceed on my own and full access to her consultation. I have to say that Hillary is very efficient with her time. In a few hours, she outlined which pieces would work in the new layout and then provided furniture specifications and sources for a new sofa, rug, coffee table, lighting and dining table. I’m excited to get started on the refresh and feel more confident with Hillary as my guide.

We have worked with Hilary in 2015 and recently in 2018. Her work is consistently outstanding. Hilary is very flexible to work with and spends time understanding her client's requirements. Her eye for detail, judgement around dimensions and ability to create alternative ideas in a short time frame make her a great professional to work with. When we moved into our new apartment, Hilary's ideas helped us create great design layouts, choose contractors and then implement her ideas. We recently also consulted in her in a planned kids bedroom renovation. We look forward to continuing to work with her.

I had a truly wonderful experience using Perianth's Hilary Unger as my designer. I started knowing I wanted my living room to be furnished and designed around a beautiful silk carpet I bought in India, and Hilary helped me to create a magnificent room, mixing and matching patterns and colors to the pallette of the carpet. Walls were painted different colors , with an accent wall framing my garden window, and built in cabinets, two couches and two chairs were created to complete the room. I still get gasps when people see it. Also working with Hilary was EXTREMELY easy and she accomodated herself to my very busy schedule. I Can't recommend her enough.

Hilary Unger really listens to you. She dent have a set look like some designers, but finds out what a clients life looks like and provides a perfect space as a backdrop.

Hillary Unger picked out colors and aesthetic design for a large project . She was able to work with a team in making decisions that would satisfy everyone’s taste.

Hillary knows so much and is so able to share it in a way that makes perfect sense to you, that you'll achieve not only a beautiful room but also the security of knowing that it is in perfect taste. Even if, like me, you're not sure you have any! Hillary herself is so warm and wonderful that depending on your age and gender, who might want to adopt her, or marry her!

Listens to needs and design preferences, colors, price. . And at the same brings forward a design whether it be furniture, fabric, custom work that will enhance the space and totally satisfy the customer. Project included furniture fabric, a rug, wallpaper, lighting, a kitchen renovation

I have used Hilary Unger's "Buy My Eye" consultancy service in 2008 (converting a closet to a study and shelves in the kitchen and bedroom) and 2018 (shading design in bedroom, living room, and kitchen as well as the floor design for the kitchen based on the new shading). She is very efficient in a limited time. In both occasions, she produced great designs that are based on my initial ideas but making it work functionally. She is also capable of creating a consensus design between a couple, who may not have agreed on the design prior to her engagement. Her fees more than doubled in 10 years (At 7% increase per year, fees will double in 10 years). Given her excellent work, I can understand this increase beyond the inflation rate. Perhaps, I got an amazing deal in 2008. I will recommend her for a one-bedroom apartment or other smaller apartments. If her fees remain with the inflation rate from now on, I think her consultancy service fee is reasonable. Her work is excellent

i had the distinct pleasure of working with Hilary Unger at Perianth Interior Design in order to re-imagine and re-define a second bedroom in my apartment. I wanted to create a home office in that space. Hillary visited me, kept her appointment precisely on time, and spent the time with me so productively, I was deeply impressed. She first sat and chatted with me about exactly how I envisioned the space to look after a redesigning..But she also talked with me about my visions, .my wishes for how the space would feel, what it would be like to be in that room, what I needed it to give me in terms of comfort, inspiration, work energy. No other designer had ever taken that aspect of the project into the mix. She then took her time patiently to do measurements, configurations of furniture placement , and even color and light as they were factors in the re-design. After informally sketching her ideas for me, she left, and promised a full report with exact details of her ideas. Her follow-up was impressive.,. A detailed prospectus, with articulate drawings, color swatches and lighting ideas. I was extremely impressed, and will use her again and again for other rooms I plan to renovate. She is a creative, efficient, and gracious professional.

What a pleasure working with Hilary. She was able to grasp the big picture easily, and then work on the details. she pointed out much, that I was unaware of previously. She kept in mind my personal taste, and also the needs of my family. Alene Schneierson

We, as the general contractors, worked with Perianth on a home remodel project up the Upper West side. Hillary was very professional, from providing impeccable clarity with the scope of work, to managing and delivering the expectations and objectives for the client - whilst keeping true to the schedule and maintaining a clear channel of communication for all parties involved. Like every project this job had it's hurdles, but together we achieved a final product the client was very happy with!
