Ray Bears and Sons Landscaping

We were incredibly pleased with the work done by Ray Bears and Sons Landscaping. They worked in close collaboration with our deck builders, adapting as needed to work within the challenging dynamics of our yard. When the deck builders were required to slightly modify the steps down to the patio Ray Bears took it upon themselves to redo the stone work at the base of the deck steps to improve the flow and esthetics. Ray Bears kept in close communication with us throughout the work so we always knew what was being done, timing and expenses. At the end of the job they cleaned everything up, leaving no trace of their presence other than an amazing landscaped back yard area. We are very pleased with the outcome and have had many complements. The deck builder, a national award winner, even commented this was one of the nicest looking back yard areas he’s seen.

This was the second time we used Ray Bears and Sons Landscaping as the first job they did for us was fantastic! The retaining walls, sidewalk and gardens they put in for us back in 2007 were done so well that we called them back! Not to mention the pricing was great, very fair, no hidden costs, everything up front and on the level for both jobs!! In August, they installed a 13' by 20' lakefront patio and also added a step and installed columns at our front entrance. All of the stone work was done with pavers set in a modified herringbone pattern. The workmanship is fantastic and we couldn't be happier with it!

Ray Bears & Sons Landscaping removed an existing paver walkway and installed a new one. Ray was helpful as we planned the design and selected the new pavers. Work was begun when scheduled and workers were non-stop for three days to complete the job. We are very satisfied with the design and the installation. Ray and his crew are professional, friendly and diligent. Ancillary work, such as lawn repair and seeding, were also done well. Ray also came highly recommended by a local supplier of pavers, which helped us select him.
