Yet the client's vision and project needs always come first. For me, the ultimate compliment is a client who calls on me for another project. Rene was the interior designer for my big home remodel. I was very nervous about making such big changes in the house and making the right design decisions. It could not have been a better experience. Rene listened to all my ideas and concerns and gave me the most wonderful plan for the house. She took the stress out of the remodel and made it fun. She was so creative and kind. Rene gave options every step of the way and made sure I was happy with the final product. She was also an integral resource during the remodel to make sure our ideas were brought to life in the way we had in mind. She is your friend and moral guide. I would not hesitate to hire her again and have already recommended her countless times.

My wife and I have moved to Portland to be closer to our daughter and her two children, our grandchildren. We bought a house built in 1961, that needed lots of repairs and updating. Rene was a blessing, she had many of the contacts, knew where to go, had a very critical and artistic eye that helped us a bunch. Above all of that, what an upbeat a pleasant person, and a joy to work with. We did not agree with her on every one of her suggestions, but we would guess we agreed and executed on 90% of her recommendations and we are very pleased with how our remodel has all turned out. You would be very fortunate to be able to work with Rene.

Ms. Chambers provided excellent recommendations for lighting solutions through our home, selection and precise layout design for bathroom tile and finishes, kitchen materials and storage solutions. She gave estimations for her time that were fair and accurate. We definitely recommend her.

Rene executed the design for our 1923 Bungalow kitchen remodel. She was the best thing about going through the remodel because of her design visions, patience, professionalism, fantastic contacts with companies supplying products, and the follow-up she provided through the entire process. She is energetic, positive and makes you feel that your project is important every step of the way. We would be thrilled to be able to work with Rene on future projects.

Rene helped guide us through a remodel project this fall. Her knowledge and eye for design brought our ideas to life! I appreciated Rene's ongoing communication during the project and commitment to stay within budget. She's reliable, fun, and knowledgeable...not only about design but so many other aspects of remodeling that I found helpful. The new office and Bonus room turned out perfect. And your whole main floor with new hardwood and the fantastic new lighting! Not to mention the before and after of the Fireplaces. Rene worked on a full house remodel for us. She did everything from paint/stain colors, designing cabinets from scratch, picking out flooring and lighting, furniture placement, room decor... She really helped me develop my vision for our new home. And helped me every step of the way. She has a talent for making every space beautiful. Your home has so many great features, and and I just love that David's Grandfather
built it. I think he would approve of what we did. And it is so cool that we got to keep his door at the Butlers pantry!

Chambers Interior Design is a very rare combination of creative wizardry combined with a practical knack to design within a set budget, and help keep a project on schedule by facilitating key decisions at key times. We moved from Seattle to Portland - before we moved Rene helped us(long distance) to remodel the inside of our “new” house - she was easy to communicate with, listened to my ideas and offered her experienced suggestions - many of which were implemented. And she was always conscious of our budget. Thank you Rene.

Thank you Fran. We did it! I know it was a tough project, having to do it long distance but, we did it. I only got to see it part way finished but, I hear the Fireplace is stunning!

Rene saved the day when our previous interior designer vanished on us. She picked up right where we left off and was so incredibly compassionate and kind about our situation. She listened to our ideas and brought out the best in everything. I loved that she was flexible to work with and allowed me to steer the ship. (Our previous designer had been a "my way or the highway" type.) I sincerely enjoyed working with Rene, and it was a no-brainer to refer her on right away to my parents, who are renovating the guest house behind our house.

We've used René for multiple renovation and new construction projects. I rarely even review her design board these days. I trust her that much!
