Reynolds Signature Homes

We just bought a custom home from Reynolds Signature Homes. Many reviews offer a lot of opinions about the person/company, but this review will just be a statement of the facts of our experience. You can judge if this is a builder that you want to trust for your dream home. 1. Repairs and other inspection promised to be done at closing were not done. The deadline for the repairs/fixes (with signed written addendum) has long past, and we are still waiting for resolutions. 2. Communication is mostly non-existent from Shelley Reynolds. There have been promises to have people at out home to address issues and those persons never appear. 3. There is a fire suppression sprinkler system that is actually screwed into the ceiling preventing operation. Despite this safety issue, we cannot get Reynolds Signature Homes to the property to address the issue. 4. We cannot get consistent hot water in our master bathroom due to a faulty cartridge. 5. Hot and cold water were reversed in two locations in the home indicating plumber quality control issues. Shelley actually stated to us and our realtor that her plumber did B- work on this home. 6. Two toilets were leaking or not operational. One has been fixed and one has not. 7. Trim work is not complete around microwave. 8. Outdoor kitchen stone work is not done and gas grill purchased as part of sale is not hooked up or operational. 9. Electrical outlet was promised in office and has yet to be installed. 10. Touch up paint in multiple areas of home (including iron gate) are not blended and will require new paint of rooms/gates. 11. Paint is not labeled as promised making touch up nearly impossible. 12. Refrigerator installed in outdoor kitchen does not match other appliances and is not secure (moves when opened). 13. Concrete around pool is not cured properly and creates a chalk residue in the home. 14. Gutter drainage was not installed properly. This will need to be redone by landscape professionals. 15. Fireplace screen and insert is not installed properly. 16. Lights were never installed around the master mirrors despite switches to control them. 17. Caulking around front door not done. 19. For sale sign had to be removed by us because Reynolds Signature Homes would not remove it after two weeks of us asking after close. 20. Sticky residue on all upstairs carpet (presumably from protective plastic left on floors too long). 21. Key for home still not returned from Shelley to new owners. NOTE: All pictures attached below reflect the home condition AFTER closing. You be the judge.

Shelly Reynolds is a pleasure to work with from a real estate broker perspective. We have done several projects together and all have gone well. I would recommend her to any clients we had looking to build a new custom home with no hesitation.

Extremely unprofessional. Doesn't follow up with phone calls. You basically have to chase Shelley Reynolds via phone in order to get a call back from her. Doesn't care about her new projects, unless she will make lots of money. Even asked us to do the research and get her info about filing for a permit and survey of the house when that is obviously the job of her company. I highly DO NOT recommend working with this company. There are PLENTY more reputable, professional contractors/remodeling/designing companies to work with in the DFW area. DO NOT waste your valuable time and hard-earned money on this company.

I've been in my custom Reynolds Signature Home for almost 2 years. I define have the best built home in the neighborhood! Shelley and team were excellent to work with and very accommodating to my preferences.
