I contacted Pruitt Construction in February 2016. I spoke with Doug Pruitt and explained the details of my construction. Per our telephone conversation, he expected the project would cost about $7,500. In March, Doug visited my house to get a first-hand look at the project in order to give me a firm quote. Shortly after his visit, he was informed me that the replacement wood flooring for me project had been discontinued. On my own, I found a similar replacement wood, but it was rejected by Pruitt's flooring subcontractor. Pruitt then said they would search for an alternative. After numerous emails back and forth regarding the wood flooring and promises that "I'll get back with you tomorrow" he just quit communicating. He seemed interested at first and knew from our first telephone conversation that my job was probably only a $10,000 job, I don't know what happened but this is no way to treat any potential client. My last email from Doug Pruitt was May 2. Today is June 6 and I have not heard anything from Pruitt.

I had lots of work done on one job; new hard wood floors, cabinets, wall repair and painting. Doug Pruitt met with me personally to go over the entire job and timeline, his foreman communicated with me on a daily basis on progress and next steps. Their work was incredible, very professional crews, finished on time and exceeded my expectations. Initially, I thought their price was fair, but not great, that was until they finished the job, they went above and beyond, doing much more detail work than I thought they would, molding, trim, touch up etc. After they finished and handed me back my house, there was absolutely nothing else I needed to do, other than enjoy my home. Their price ended up being a great deal for all the work they did.

I used RL Pruitt for the construction of my house. My sister and her husband also used them for their home. She had looked around and interviewed a few companies and so did I. She's a stickler for details so when she chose them, I came on board too. Reggie the owner was a low keyed individual with a positive outlook on everything. He had a can do attitude when changes had to be made. He had a great professional hardworking crew that took care of my needs. My project came in on time and within my budget - even with some minor changes. He stood by any warranty issues. If an opportunity to build a house again arise, which I hope, I would ask them in a heart beat. Had a blast building my dream house.
