Here at AlmaHome we believe that your Dream home begins with great design. Our mission is to create beautiful, yet functional design that fit the lifestyle of the individual/s that live it that home. Its not THE perfect home, but YOUR perfect home! Owner and Designer Robin Alenda believes that when your home is in balance so is your mind. Organization and beauty cohesively blending together declutters the mind and allows peace and harmony in a place that should be a sanctuary; your home. With each project Robin strives to understand the true essence of the home owner before creating a design and aesthetic that suit that individual and the home itself. The design process begins with an in-home consultation that allows the designer/client relationship to develop naturally. After this initial introduction and property walk through, Robin begins the designs process by creating 3D renderings of each space along with mood boards to convey her best design outcome for each project. The photo realistic renderings allow the home owner to glimpse the possibilities of a Remodel prior to breaking ground. Robin helped us design our master bathroom and we are currently finishing up a design for our guest bathroom. She was able to bring us into a design world that we didn't know we wanted. It was very easy to work with her. She came over, got to know us and our style and we discussed what we were looking for and she worked her magic and showed us so many beautiful options for our bathrooms. Her thinking is a little outside of the box which is exactly what we were looking for! Her attention to detail, ability to work with colors and knowledge of design blew us away. We're definitely looking forward to working through other rooms/spaces in our home to make sure we get the AMS-seal of approval!

Robin Alenda is an amazing designer. She listens to her clients, asks lots of questions and spends the time to learn about styles and desires. Robin is able to work within a budget for her clients. She knows where the spending will make the biggest difference. She will also work collaboratively (with contractor and client), but can also take a project and run with it. For the first half of our project, we were abroad, so needed to rely on Robin’s excellent communication skills. For the second half of the project, we moved into the house and wanted to take a more active role in the design process. Robin was equally able to manage the project on our behalf and then seamlessly transition to working hand and hand with us. I’m currently sitting in my kitchen, looking around this beautiful space, knowing that I could not have achieved this stunning renovation without Robin’s help.

Robin did the design for our master bath remodel, from layouts to materials selection. She was creative, patient, and practical. She went through about 10 different plans until we got the perfect one. She stayed within our constraints and got me everything I wanted. She encouraged me to step outside of my comfort zone with materials, while respecting and incorporating my aesthetic. She also went above and beyond in helping me manage the contractor when I couldn’t speak his language. Robin’s design services were worth every penny (less than 10% of the full project cost). I will definitely use her again, and cannot recommend her highly enough.

I hired Robin at Alma Home Interiors to help me with a cosmetic makeover on my primary downstairs area. Specifically, my formal living and dining and my more causal family/kitchen nook areas. My old decor was a very dated color scheme and style. I wanted new, clean and modern but to complicate things I had inherited some classic/unique pieces of furniture and family heirlooms after my mom’s passing that *had* to be incorporated into new design. A crazy infusion of two distinct styles!!! Robin welcomed the challenge and the outcome is nothing short of spectacular. These new spaces are the perfect reflection of clean, modern, and “light and bright” design while also paying homage to my family - and family heirlooms - that mean the world to me. These rooms are perfectly designed by Robin from floor selection, paint and window coverings to all the small details like vintage family photos in frames and small decorative pieces. I look at these rooms and it bring me such peace. I know my mom would have loved it. Robin was sensible in how she shopped (ie she listening to my price points) and was so Thoughtful and Detail Oriented (yes with capitals, for emphasis!) and treated this project as if she were caring for her own home. Perfect outcome and perfect person to partner with on an emotional undertaking for me. So happy!

When I was just beginning my home renovation, I asked the woman I was working with at the tile store if there were any interior designers that she could wholeheartedly recommend and she immediately thought of Robin. I’m so glad she did! Robin was an absolute joy to work with-she’s very sensible and down to earth and realistic about budgeting, which is critical when you have purchased a money pit like I did. My remodel went through a lot of drama-had to fire two contractors and ended up subbing out the labor myself at the bitter end-but Robin stuck with me through all of it and was so supportive! She can work in a variety of ways: some clients have had her make all the decisions-which she’s done a great job at, as is evident from her portfolio; she and I worked together in a more collaborative manner, where I would run my decisions through her to make sure I wasn’t making any missteps. (I have an eclectic aesthetic which can go awry if not monitored!) She also had great ideas that I wouldn’t have thought of-putting in additional windows, relocating doorways-that really took our remodel to the next level. So she can be a great asset to you no matter what your level of design sensibility is! She’s also a nice person, and not snobbish or uppity like some other designers I contacted. Highly recommend!

My husband and I worked worked with Robin on a kitchen remodel and decorating of our entire downstairs (living room, dining room and entrance.) The project ended up meeting and surpassing all of our expectations. Robin was able to come up with a computerized sketch of our house that enabled us to invision exactly what our kitchen would look like before going through the construction process. She is so personable and was able to capture our sense of style and our needs. Her design ideas are beautiful and she was able to pull off exactly what we were looking for in our family home while staying in our budget. I cannot say enough about her!

We hired Alma Interior Designs to transform a few rooms in our house. Although we had some concept of what we wanted to create, we were having a hard time trying to bring it all together. Robin selected contemporary pieces and paint colors that complimented what we already had in the home and then came in after pieces were purchased to style and decorate for a big reveal. It was so fun to see the surprise transformation and to see things I never would have picked out for myself, but absolutely loved once they were staged at the home. Robin listened to everything we were trying to accomplish and transformed our home to suit not only the space, but our personalities. She really listened to what we wanted both functionally and aesthetically. We are gearing up for a remodel and will definitely reach out to Robin for her design expertise and holistic approach to creating beautiful spaces.

I have had the pleasure of working with Robin for the last few months on my whole house remodel. Robin is great to work with! Super professional and equally as fun and friendly through the entire process. Most importantly, she was spot on with the look and feel that I wanted, down to every detail. It would not have been possible without her. Also, she managed the entire project with the contractor which was tremendously helpful. I would highly recommend Robin to any of my friends for their design needs, and I would hire her again for any projects down the road.

Just do it! We were introduced to Robin by a good friend whom had just completed a project with her and gave rave reviews. We decide to hire Robin from our first meeting because she came to us through a trusted referral, she was very approachable, and deeply understood the cost constraints we were trying to work within. She brings infectious passion and vision that is invaluable during the the course of a project and helped us make the best choices with regards to both high level design and finishing details. We ended up leaning on her expertise and opinion more than we could have anticipated and she was always there to listen and provide feedback. Home remodels take on a roller coaster of emotion and she kept us positive and focused; attributes that she probably didn't sign up for yet does with ease and energy! Robin is professional yet very down to earth and extremely approachable, a winning combination. I highly recommend Robin at Alma Interior Designs.

Robin is the best! She helped us take our lovely but way outdated newly purchased home and transform it into a peaceful, beautiful modern retreat. She had a vision for refacing our dining room fireplace which became the design element for the entire project. She took the time to get to know us and the ways in which we wanted to live in our home. She listened and came up with concepts and ideas that fit us. That said, she had many creative and original concepts, things we wouldn't have ever thought of. She has a great eye; our home looks like something out of AD...and comfortable and real. In fact, we have many people coming back to visit because they so enjoy being in the comfort of our home. She's very professional, delivers on her promise. When we encountered the inevitable hiccups (not due to Robin) with vendors, she went above and beyond to find solutions, quickly. She worked well with our contractor, who, like other contractors, doesn't really like designers:) But he liked Robin and together they made a great combination. I interviewed maybe 10 or more designers; Robin stood out. She's real and personable. She has a great energy and always positive, something really needed along the way of (a not short, in our case) renovation. I like that she understands the value of money and didn't treat us like an ATM or a fund for a trip to Italy (like one designer I talked with). She prices her work fairly. Also, she doesn't pick the most expensive items just because. She will look everywhere for the best item/furniture/lighting etc. She likes a good deal! I could go on and on. We had just the best experience. In fact, because it was so good, we recommended Robin to 3 friends, all of whom are happy (and grateful). I highly recommend hiring Robin.
