Robin Rigby Fisher, a Certified Master of Kitchen and Bath Designer (CMKBD), Certified Living in Place Professional (CLIPPS) Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS), as well as a national and local educator, offers you over 34 years of experience and a life-long passion for her craft. Robin is a gem. She is professional, creative, personable and someone you can count on to deliver. We initially reached out to Robin for design help with a remodel in two areas of our early 90's snout; kitchen and laundry room. Over the course of a few weeks, we expanded our discussion and plan to include the adjoining family room and a nearby powder room. This was our first remodel and we ( 2 adults, 2 teenagers, and 1 dog) remained in the house during the project. With Robin's guidance and sourcing knowledge/hands on assistance, we were able to locate and secure for delivery the finish materials ( e.g. cabinets, appliances, fixtures, stone/tile, etc.) for the contractor. As questions came up, and answers or advice were needed during this process, Robin was quick to respond and provided good direction and a steady voice of reassurance. She understands construction processes and methods and her plan(s) and recommendations reflect this. Overall, with hindsight being 20-20, partnering with Robin for design and planning guidance/execution was an excellent decision!

Excellent! Robin's design and process are incredible. The design exceeded our expectations, is intuitively functional and beautiful. The design is current and timeless mid century modern to complement our mid-century home. LOVE IT. And we loved working with Robin. She asked great questions to develop a wish list and then listened during the design process. The design is perfect for us. Lastly, Robin is extremely helpful collaborating with the general contractor to communicate and advocate for us. We had a bit more than the normal snags in the construction process and Robin made the difference in the solutions. Her knowledge, expertise and ability to share the vision of the design and construction solutions were invaluable. I might suggest this is the benefit of hiring a top notch designer, like Robin, and a separate contractor. You are able to work through the noise in an issue that will arise in any remodel or build to ensure your needs as the client are heard and addressed in the best possible way. A design-build firm may be able to do this; yet with Robin you can be confident your needs and all possible solutions will be explored before a necessary adjustment is agreed upon and the solution will be incredible. We will be working with Robin again on our next project.

Robin is a pleasure to work with. She has great ideas and is dedicated to having the finished project reflect her clients' taste and style. She listens carefully and works hard to make sure her clients love the end result. Our home was built in 1923, and our project included gutting and reworking of our kitchen/dining room area and also a complete redo of an upstairs bathroom. Needless to say, in a project such as this, surprises will arise. Robin worked closely with our contractor and the engineers and was unflappable even when I, the owner was not. The end result is spectacular. One more thing I might add, is that Robin herself is a gourmet cook and knows how important the layout of a working kitchen is for those of us who love to cook. My kitchen is not only beautiful but it functions perfectly. My husband and I love cooking together and when we entertain, we enjoy having our guests hang out with us to pitch in or watch as they may be inclined. Likewise, keeping it clean and tidy is also a breeze. Everything has its place and moving from cooking to serving to clean-up requires a minimum of effort. I highly recommend Robin without any reservations.

Robin Rigby Fisher designed a beautiful kitchen that honored the classic style of our 100 year old bungalow while creating spaces for our whole family to assist with meal preparation. Our kitchen space was quite old with dark, useless spaces, accessible through a narrow door. Robin's redesign created a light-filled, seemingly spacious kitchen, with ample storage and work stations that make cooking and entertaining joyful. Robin's experience -and insight -into people and kitchen design made our project a huge success, and all within a reasonable budget! I recommend her highly!

My husband and I hired Robin to help us with our worn, ugly and clutzy 1982-vintage kitchen. We now have an amazingly beautiful and functional kitchen thanks to Robin and the professionals with whom she works! From the outset, she listened to us and offered suggestions for layout changes and materials that we would never have figured out on our own. Communication was great and she was there when hitches and questions cropped up. We had a vision and a few clippings, and she made it a reality. We couldn't be more thrilled and would recommend Robin without hesitation.

NE Portland Remodel

Robin and her team did a great job for our kitchen remodel. She's responsive, knowledgeable, and a clear communicator. Her work and professionalism made the project turn out great. She was open to fine-tuning everything, so that the details we wanted were all included. I'm a repeat customer; she also did a great job for us on a previous project.

Robin is the best there is hands down.she transformed our kitchen from drab to fab.Robin was able to design a functional kitchen out of a very small space. We have some amazing new pieces and a backsplash is the talk of the neighborhood!

I've had the privilege of knowing and working with Robin for many years as a professional in the Portland design community. Not only is she incredibly detailed and knowledgeable on the mechanics, function and construction nuts and bolts of projects, she also brings a level of creativity, energy, heart and a caring spirit that is unmatched. Her skill set and resources can take you from specialty projects like kitchens and baths through the whole house, including furnishings and soft goods. This makes her a rare hybrid designer. Her design skills are second only to her customer service. We chose to work with Robin Rigby Fisher Design after both an initial phone call and in person interview. I had learned what I didn't want to experience with a designer and used that information to find a person who would listen fully to my thoughts without cutting me off, would incorporate what I was looking for even if it was not the trend, and would apply their talents in bringing design and functionality to a place that I could "see it". The firm did a great job in remembering our budget. They also narrowed our choices to a pre-defined parameter so we could make decisions quickly and not force my husband and I to go to display rooms to become overwhelmed. The tag team effort between the owner/principal designer and associate designer ensured appropriate follow up documentation and tracked changes.

We were fortunate to have Robin as our designer/consultant for the renovation of the kitchen area of our home we had recently purchased. She provided us with an excellent design that met our needs and wishes, dramatically improved the appearance of our home, and allowed us to include small details that we discovered as we worked with the craftsmen who performed the construction. Her contacts and resources were impressive. Her selections of colors and placement of elements guided us to have a kitchen that not only is visually striking, but a pleasing, inviting and enjoyable space.
