Houzz 2018 and 2016 Award Winner, Sandy Cousens of Sanctuary In Style, specialises in creating inviting & relaxing spaces with an emphasis on clean, toxic-free living. Through her own health journey, she has become a low-toxic living advocate and has launched her own range products for the home and body: Calm Body and Home. You can find her on Facebook and Instagram @calmbodyandhome where she gathers her knowledge on design, healthy interiors, mindset and low toxic living. She is in the process of writing her first guidebook to gently help others live a healthier life, with a touch of style. Sandy has also painted her first designs for her new Art Range - a high quality range of beautiful artworks that are then painstakingly scanned and printed on watercolour paper, whereby they look and feel like the original. Sandy has completed various projects from colour consulting, small bathroom renovations of all budgets, to full scale house renovations. No matter what the budget, Sandy delivers inspired and unique designs for her clientèle. Sandy is passionate about 'clean living' and encourages her clients wherever possible to include the use of no VOC paints, toxic-reducing indoor plants, and is able to advise clients on how they can incorporate budget-wise decisions to live a more toxic-free, breath-easy lifestyle. Sandy is available for residential and workplace consultations.

Sandy listened and provided suggestions, she advised how I could make my home my home. Her understanding of my needs to reflect my personality was wonderful. It can be hard having a stranger in my home but Sandy very quickly felt like a friend.

Sandy from Sanctuary In Style helped me turn my new house into a home. Although I only had some vague ideas on what I was after, Sandy helped guide me towards a final 'look and feel' through a series of ideas and questions that helped me clarify an end style that Im really happy with. Sandy was so friendly and helpful throughout the whole process. She was very conscious of my budget and offered alot of suggestions that helped me keep the prices down, (even to the point of showing me how to do certain things myself so I would not have to pay someone else to do them and hence, blow out my costs.) She was very generous with her time and worked hard to not only help me realise my styling goals, but also to expand them. Sandy has lots of industry contacts that enable her to access a whole range of high quality services and products to meet all styling demands. Every day i look around my home and think how happy I am with it. I can recommend Sandy without hesitation.

We employed an interior designer for our home. Sanctuary in style was better than we could imagine. From day one of meeting the owner of the company understood exactly what we wanted and was so efficient with getting samples and arranging meetings in times that suited us which sometimes was after hours. Our designer arranged the renovations and restyled the ground floor of our home with flooring, paint colour, art work, furniture and lighting . We love our new design and could not be happier and so excited to show off our property to our friends.

Mrs. Sandy Cousens project managed the interior renovation of my house in Mosman NSW back in 2010. Not only was she attentive in listening to atmosphere I was trying to create but was also very creative in making numerous suggestions in regards to colour schemes, lighting, bathroom and kitchen fittings etc. Sandy than used her vast contact network to source all the best, most suitable products at great prices and made sure that all trades work was done to the the highest standard. The renovation were completed to my absolute satisfaction ahead of schedule and well under the allocated budget. i could not be happier with the result and would recommend Sandy Cousens from Sanctuary In Style for any and all home improvement projects, be it an entire renovation to simple colour consultancy...her creative knowledge is immense and her eye for detail is uncanny.

Sandy helped us to design a fireplace and surrounding seating in our living room. She was amazing. She took into account my brief and created a sketch which surpassed my wildest dreams! Her eye for detail and ability to add depth to something so simple helped me to create something far more special than I would have without her help. I highly recommend her as she has the ability to create the impossible and the most beautiful design. She is also highly sensible with her budgets and can create something extravagant on even on a tight budget if need be. I totally recommend her to all my friends.
