Sarah Blacker is a Sydney based Architect and Interior Designer providing custom designed spaces to suit your requirements. Sarah specialises in residential design and will work with you on your project from concept to completion. Projects span from residential, including new homes and alterations and additions on existing dwellings, to commercial, including cafes, small bars and hotel refurbishments. Sarah also works on heritage projects, including state and local heritage items and heritage conservation areas. Sarah’s approach is to design bespoke spaces that are functional, have market appeal, will stand the test of time and respond to the context of the site. Sarah is passionate about her work and design and looks forward to discussing your project with you. We wanted to drop you a note to thank Sarah for her vision in seeing our home taken to the next level. When we first decided to extend our home, she was very quick to understand exactly what our needs were for our extended family. She then turned our practical requirements not only into reality, but created something aesthetically pleasing whilst also ensuring that it was in keeping with the current house and its surrounds. Her attention to detail, flair for design concurrently understanding and prioritising of our needs has enabled a final result that we are delighted with and will continue to enjoy with our family for years to come.

We found Sarah quite by accident following a search for a heritage architect. She has proved to be innovative, attentive, receptive to ideas and very easy to work with. We would highly recommend her to anyone who is contemplating a renovation that requires attention to detail and an easy going receptive professional manor. Sarah was able to project manage from early design concepts, heritage council applications, council applications, as well as color selections and interior design.

Sarah assisted with the renovation of our home which consisted of 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom to 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Located in the inner-west of Sydney, space is at premium and Sarah offered great solutions to maximise available space. From our initial meeting to throughout the build, and post renovation Sarah has always been available, demonstrating an extremely professional manner and ultimately creating a design which suits the lifestyle of our family.

We have worked with Sarah Blacker on several different residential builds through out Sydney. She is our top choice when working with clients who need an architect for their project. This is due to her high level of professionalism, attention to detail, fantastic designs and clear, consistent communication between us and the clients. I have engaged Sarah on a number of projects, which have included major projects involving my own home and four investment properties. On every single occasion I found her designs to be outstanding. Quite apart from her design work being aesthetically pleasing and sympathetic to the surrounds, she is practical and capable of producing high quality work within the stipulated budget. She is easy to get a long with, she views the project from my perspective and on each project has worked with me rather than for me, to achieve my objectives. She is patient and pragmatic, always calibrating my 'left of field' ideas which, with the benefit of hindsight, would have been entirely unsuitable so that the finished works are impeccable. On the basis of my experience, I have no hesitation recommending Sarah.
