In early spring, we decided it was time to update/ renovate the exterior of our home. New paint, new front deck, and completely tear down the back deck that was rotting to the ground. The process is never easy. Timelines don’t exist in that world. The painting and front deck was completed first. (Different company I won’t name). But, the back deck was “my baby”… bc I had spent hours hand drawing possible design ideas, sitting back there just staring at so much potential, and thinking no one is going to understand “this vision” I had in my mind. We knew this would require a much more talented, professional team with the ability to see the “vision”. Enter: Align Pro Construction and Remodeling, LLC owned by Scott Maust. UNBELIEVABLE experience! The quality, time, attention to detail, with a clean/ organized work environment was surgical precision! Using just the hand drawn design I handed over, this is the dreamy, back deck perfection they created. We chose Fiberon decking in Chai, with Timbertech railing. His licensed, professional electrician installed and hard wired all the stairs, rails and lights… exemplifying perfection! Honestly, I had just about given up and was going to just let the back one rot all the way down, until I met Scott. What a difference the right, knowledgeable contractor makes! Exceeded every expectation and even hope I had, in every possible way.

Align Pro has completed several jobs for me, both big and not so big. Always very competitive price-wise, with skilled craftsmen (and women) who are honest and nice too. They replaced doors on my house when I was out of town and when I returned I was completely satisfied with the job. I would highly recommend Align Pro for their professional and timely work.

We used Align Pro again for a bath remodel. They did a beautiful job. I am so happy with finished product. Scott and his team are a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them. They are real pros. The will show up and work until the job is done to your satisfaction.

Scot and his crew did an absolutely phenomenal job rebuilding our outside exterior steps. We had contacted several contractors, and it was crazy that no one would take on this job. I wanted it done in a composite board, and Scot was the right man for the job. He helped me choose the composite Trex, and I went with the Transcend Tropical line. We chose Spiced Rum for the risers and trim, and Havana Gold for the treads and main color decking. Scot created a beautiful artful design on my deck. My wife and I were very pleased with the look and all my friends love it as well. When we do another remodel, we will be looking to hire Scot again with Align Pro.

Scot has been a pleasure to work with on my project from start to finish. I was not only impressed by his attention to detail, but the quality of his work. He is truly a master craftsman. Great communication - he let me know where we were in terms of completion every step of the way, and even finished ahead of schedule. I highly recommend hiring AlignPro for remodeling. While I ended up with most of what I had hoped for, getting the work done was an absolute nightmare and we are now living with several of AlignPro's errors. The renovation consisted of the master bathroom, floor tile in the master closet and laundry, updating a half bath and electrical fixtures. However, if I hadn't designed the areas to be rehabbed, done a ton of research, supplied elevation drawings, supplied all fixtures for the entire job, as well as much of the materials, and overseen the day-to-day work, it would have been a complete mess. According to Scot, his company never start a job until the last one is finished, and he or his foreman will be on-site at all times. Both statements are completely false. When he started my job it was obvious they were working several sites, and they were absent 90% of the time, including several weeks when Scot went on holiday. The only time they showed up was if I demanded it. Otherwise, Scot would occasionally come in for 5 to 10 minutes in the morning then disappear. His trades had no respect for Scot and they would often not show up for days at a time and when they did show up they wouldn't listen to his instructions, making countless errors, which in hindsight is not surprising since he was disorganized, couldn't create a timeline for his trades, and he was chronically absent. I happen to work at home and I can't imagine the problems I would have had to face if I left to work elsewhere all day. Scot treated me as if I was his assistant, even calling me to find out who was in my house working! It was left to me to allow people access, police his trades, and answer their questions. To list just a few of the many problems... His tile setter was the slowest I've ever encountered in rehabbing approx 20 houses. If they were slow and excellent no problem, but they made countless mistakes which Scot blamed on the language barrier even though they had drawings to follow. Scot then charged me for the extra tiles he had to purchase to fix his tile-setter's errors. His electricians were particularly absent and inept, slowing the progress and causing previously operating switches to no longer operate, (after those switches had not been flagged as problematic during our home inspection prior to purchasing the property, and which we had operated for months without any problems). The electrician also admitted frying a new ceiling fan and told me to return it to Home Depot and lie to them saying it was defective (I refused). They also mis-measured the center of the bathroom wall causing 5 new fixtures to be removed and reinstalled in the correct locations. His carpenter had to build the bathtub enclosure 3 times to get it right, yet still didn't use pressure-treated wood as specified. Eventually, Scot came demanding final payment. I questioned some of his charges which he said were for "change orders" although I couldn't recall a single signed change order. He was adamant his bills were correct. His contract states that charges for changes consist of materials and labor plus his 30% take (much higher than the 10-15% normal). I wrote him the check figuring that because we had mutual friends and he would not want to have a review like this posted anywhere, he would correct any overcharges either by working them off or paying me back. As I considered his supposed "changes" I realized that he was counting his and his trades' errors as "changes" to the tune of $17,900.00. I asked him to supply me with the invoices, quotes, and signed change orders for all the changes he is claiming. He refused. I have no final billing paperwork for the entire $50K rehab. He also refused to come back and finish the last bits and pieces that always linger on a rehab, such as applying caulking in the shower stall etc, filling holes and touching up grout, paint and other caulking, pressure washing where his guys worked in the driveway and several other items. While the items are small, the list is long. Scot has now simply washed his hands of these problems and quit, refusing to warranty his work. I have sent Scot many emails and texts requesting he justify his charges. I pointed out three charges that are in all probability bogus, so he sent me a check for those three. I wasn't asking for money, just a paper trail to justify his charges. I wish he would be businesslike about this and back up his charges instead of sending me an email that is the equivalent of a toddler's tantrum. His reaction makes me certain these are bogus charges and just the tip of the iceberg; otherwise, why wouldn't he simply hand over the paperwork as justification? Give this company a wide berth.

I highly recommend Scot Maust of Align Pro LLC. First of all, he updated my kitchen beautifully. He painted cabinets, replaced the floor, the backsplash, countertops and sink, replaced the fluorescent lighting with pendant fixtures, lights under cabinets, raised the desk and built cabinets under the beautiful countertop so that I had a coffee/wine bar. I am very impressed with the quality and professionalism of his work. Secondly, he painted the entire inside of the house. When I was at loss of what color to choose, he suggested reflection grey, which turned out to be just perfect. He was extremely thorough painting the walls, ceiling, baseboards, and shelves. He also replaced the tile around my fireplace with a beautiful grey stone. It looks amazing. Thirdly he beautifully updated the bathrooms. He made a wooden sliding doors to replace the sliding mirror door to the closet. Everything was done in a top-notch professional manner. He was always an advocate for me. He checked in daily to make sure that everything was compiled to his high standards. All the work was done in the four weeks as he promised because family was coming to visit, and we stayed in budget. I strongly recommend Scot Maust.

This was probably the smoothest project I have ever started. Scot Maust was on top of the project immediately and maintained just about daily contact until we finalized the plans. Once the work commenced, Scot's construction crew was top notch. I was extremely pleased with their promptness and timely work and even the attention to detail not to mention the project was started and finished ahead of schedule. I highly recommend Scot Maust and Align Pro for any size project.

Align Pro gets 5 stars from us. We have used many contractors over the years, none have come even close to this company. I can not brag more about Scott and his crew. They built us a Garage/workshop that is superior in every way. Scott and crew were very professional. Came prompt to work daily, cleaned up at end of day. Workmanship and attention to detail far exceeded our expectations. They kept in constant communication. They answered any questions we had. Met our deadline and stayed within budget. We would recommend them highly to anybody. We are very satisfied with their work. I look forward to our next project, where Align Pro will be the only ones we ever call.

Scot oversaw every element of the demolition and restoration of our home after the Harvey flooding in 2017. We knew him from a previous deck project and hired him immediately. We knew nothing about such a big job but found him and his subcontractors to be trustworthy and responsive to our wishes. They did not cut corners but managed to stay within budget. They took our thoughts and ideas and translated them from an empty space with wall studs into a high quality beautiful livable home. We will definitely seek out Align Pro for any future job, big or small.

I would NOT recommend Align Pro. We liked most of their work, however they never finished the job after being paid in full. I have text, called and emailed both owners and cannot get a response. I attached two photo showing details of unfinished grout at new wood floors and poor craftsmanship.

Align Pro LLC did an amazing job on my kitchen and guest bathroom remodel. From the beginning they were professional and were available to all my questions, comments and concerns. In the process, communication is key and they did not disappoint. I am so happy with the finished product, which turned out better than I expected! There were glitches along the way, which is to be expected in a remodel, however everything was handled promptly and professionally. I trusted them coming into my home and most importantly, I trusted their professional judgment and advise. Scot and Josh run a great operation and it was a pleasure working with all of you! A special thanks goes to Brandi, Justin and Bob and all of the crew! I will be hiring Align Pro LLC again.

After Hurricane Harvey my home was devastated. I tried managing the contractors myself and it was a mess. It became overwhelming so I decided to get quotes from Several different general contractors. Align Pro wasn’t the most expensive but they weren’t the cheapest either. But I am so very glad I chose them. All of their staff have been beyond helpful and respectful. I feel like I’ve made a new family with them. I gave them my design ideas but also allowed the flexibility in the putting their own touch on the space as well. There were a few issues I had with some tile work, they acknowledged it, agreen and promptly made it right. Having an executive admin on staff made a HUGE difference. I could call her with any questions or issues and she was literally an extension of Josh and Scot when they were available at the moment. They gave me my life back. Gave me a place to call home again and it’s a place a very very proud of.

Did a major remodel in the kitchen plus installed tile throughout the house, work was superior and I could not be more pleased. Work done on time and within budget, best contractors I have worked with.

We highly recommend Scot and Align Construction. We initially contacted Scot in reference to replacing our deck. He immediately returned our call and was out very quickly to review the project. His suggestions for materials and construction were excellent and we are thoroughly pleased with the result. The deck has never looked as good. After the deck was completed, we asked Scot to look at replacing our flagstone walkway. Again, his suggestions as to materials and construction were right on. We are thrilled with the result. We would recommend Scot and Align to anyone.

Align Constructions has done several major projects around our house in the past year and each time Scot and his crew have done an excellent job. Whenever I call Scot with a project he comes over to give me a quotation within 24 hours. His work is always on time and high quality.
