Friday and Genter Interior Design

Suzanne Friday is principal and founder of Friday Interior Design, a full-service interior design firm with a focus on residential projects. After graduating from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, Suzanne returned to her native Pittsburgh and joined architecture and engineering firm, Astorino and Associates, as Vice President of Interior Design. She worked on many high profile contract design and hospitality projects at Astorino, including leading the design process for Edgewood Country Club. She was also responsible for the design of the Florida Marlins facilities, including the locker rooms, stadiums, public spaces, new training facility and sky boxes at Sun Life stadium. After a 13-year stint in corporate America, Suzanne decided to take an entrepreneurial leap and formed a partnership with her mother, Anne Genter, a well-known and respected interior designer in the Pittsburgh area. The mother/daughter team created Friday and Genter Interior Design, LLC, which has grown over the past 15 years into a highly regarded firm with an established reputation for creating beautiful and timeless designs. Suzanne and Anne have worked on many notable projects together including the residence for the American Ambassador of Helsinki, Finland and the noteworthy living room at the Allegheny Country Club in Sewickley, PA. Suzanne works closely with each of her clients to create living spaces that accurately reflect their lifestyle and personality. She is inspired by her love of travel, and strives to weave unique touches from the places she has visited into her work. Suzanne often blends both classic and modern designs to create interiors that are welcoming, personal and elegant and designs spaces that work in harmony with their surroundings, while enhancing their natural beauty.
