We recently had the pleasure of working with Heather and our experience was nothing short of excellent. She is wonderful to work with. Heather really focused on what I asked for even though I wasn't sure myself what that was in anything but general terms. Heather has a talent for matching our personal ideas to deliver a beautiful design, from furniture selections down to the smallest pillow. We are extremely happy with our new warm, colorful and beautiful living room and can’t wait to start the next project! She took the time to learn our style and then made it look beautiful and still comfortable and casual, truly just what we hoped for. Thank you!!

We had major trepidation regarding our remodeling effort.. Signature Design Interiors was our sixth company and I knew the minute I met owner Sandra Hambley and her partner Janet Aurora I was in good hands. The process was fun, the communication was easy, and the solutions were creative. Sandra effortlessly delivers turnkey innovative design options and fully understands that technical brilliance is worthless without client respect that is only earned through prompt communication and care. Janet is a worthy counterpart to Sandra and she represents these SDI values easily. We truly enjoyed our experience together.

When we wanted to remodel our Master Bathroom, we knew to contact Janet & Sandra Signature Design Interiors since they had previously done a fantastic job redecorating our Family Room. They did a complete remodel of our bathroom and it is now truly the bathroom of our dreams! They were such a pleasure to work with - always keeping us updated and informed as the project progressed, presenting us with design options that matched our tastes and requirements, and staying within our budget. Their construction teams not only did beautiful work, but they kept the space neat and tidy so as to not interfere with our ability to use our bedroom during the work which we really appreciated. We will most certainly use Signature Design Interiors for our next redecorating or remodeling project and wholeheartedly recommend them!

When we decided to update our master bedroom, we didn't hesitate contacting Janet Aurora with Signature Design who had updated our living room decor years earlier. Her task at hand was incorporating the colors of a painting I'd received from my artist brother that was now the focal point of the room, hanging over the bed. Janet chose the perfect color scheme, texture, and brightness to the room, adding drapes, room darkening shades, a rug, coverlet, throw, and the perfect balance of complimentary pillows. The installation crew were pleasant and respectful of our property. Janet has a gifted and tasteful eye for interior design - we couldn't be happier with the final result!

I write this review with much gratitude and appreciation to Signature Design Interiors for accepting my renovation project. I shared with Sandra, the designer, that I was a retiree, on a fixed income, and with a certain dollar amount to spend on my master bathroom remodel. Sandra was able to offer me a contract which was not too far off my budget. I live in a condominium; but what I received in terms of planning for the project; ie. selection of products, demolition of the space, and delivery of new merchandise was handled with precision. I was given a completion timeline of (2) weeks, and the remodel was completed in (16) days. I look at the finished product and cannot believe it is the same space. My big take away from this experience, be patient. " Let them do what they do best, design and construct." If possible, do a full replacement. Let your designer know what you like, but be open to his/her suggestions. You will be amazed. This "team of individuals" work together to make sure whatever remodel project you want to complete, that they offer you excellent services and wonderful products. M. Gant, Alexandria, Va.

Sandra and her design team provided exceptional service and delivered impeccable work for our home project(s). Their team completed a complete home refresh for tenant to owner turnover including new flooring, paint, lighting upgrades, kitchen work and repairs. Additionally, the team completed space and interior design for 2 living spaces. They are great communicators, very understanding of changing requirements, and the trades crews delivered quality work. We are very comfortable in our updated home, and we highly recommend their services!

I hired Sandra and Janet at the height of the pandemic to furnish an apartment I moved into, using a combination of new and already-owned furniture. Four weeks after move-in, I was hosting new co-workers. Not only was she able to source and deliver tasteful furnishings and art, but she was able to stage the apartment in a single day, selling unused furniture on Ebay (for which I got cash) or moving the more expensive pieces into storage. She lent me a dining room table for the event (as the ordered was delayed), and then swapped it out for the purchased one when it arrived. She took a few hours to examine the apartment, a few hours to discuss my preferences, and 1 day to completely stage it, sell the old furniture, and move items to storage. I left an apartment with movers boxes and returned to one that has prompted nearly all guests to say “you didn’t do this yourself, did you?” Sandra and Janet are true professionals, and I would recommend her without reservation.

Janet at Signature Designs is my hero(ine). She has redecorated our living room, primary bedroom, kids’ rooms and completely remodeled our bathroom, including steam shower, heated floors, dry sauna, soaking tub and hi-tech bidet!! She is respectful of budget considerations and personal preferences, while giving us the benefit of her considerable knowledge of trends, durability, functionality and resale considerations. She will work in existing pieces, refresh a room on a budget or do a whole home, high end masterpiece. She has the patience of a Saint after dealing with us, that’s for sure!! We are saving up for her to tackle our kitchen next!!

We resurfaced our huge (floor to ceiling) fireplace from stone to marble in our great room. It was quite an undertaking and we didn't realize how big of a job this was from design to stone selection to install. Sandra was extremely detailed and she carried it through the entire process. Even through this pandemic, work was done with high quality and on time. We also had custom drapes in the great room done and they turned out beautifully. Sandra and Janet were very responsive to our tastes and feedback. We also had several furnishings done in our living room to complete the room. They provided several options and we are happy with the final look. We also had them redesign a closet near the kitchen to turn it into a pantry with doors. It turned out to be very functional. Overall, working with Signature Design Interiors was professional, easy and a very enjoyable process.

For the last 15 months, we have been working with Janet Aurora who is a designer at Signature Design Interiors. Janet has been a true professional in honoring the time commitments and in listening to our needs. We started with our living room and then moved on to other rooms as our working relationship gave us great results! Janet took the time to listen to our vision of the space, what pieces we currently had in the space and actively designed one or two options based on our requirements. She took precise measurements to make sure that the furniture pieces fit well together. Her sense of colors and textures comes from years of experience. We can safely say that we did not have any major impacts to our projects from delays due to coronavirus. The team took extra safety precautions (masks / gloves / disinfectants / social distancing etc.) to make the deliveries this year. We recommend her services to anyone who is looking to work with a seasoned professional who gets the job done well!

I've had the most professional (and fun) experience with Janet Aurora at Signature Design Interiors. We recently completed converting one side of my kitchen island into two built-in, upscale dog condos! Janet was fabulous with the design and execution, thinking through every small detail and often assisting with the creation. Her team was skilled in making her design come to life. Everyone was very professional and personable and wore masks during the entire build. It was obvious the team had worked together often. I'm very happy with the end product and my doggies love their new condos! Janet has also helped me with several decorating challenges beginning with a floor plan for my great room. From there she helped me choose a rug, suggested a few new peices of furniture and didn't mind mingling them with pieces I already had. We will be working together on a few additional projects coming up soon; a bathroom remodel and adding a basement fireplace. I think you will enjoy working with Janet as much as I have. She is kind and fun and very knowledgable. She makes things happen! And you won't be disappointed!

I have worked with Sandra Hambley and her team for many years. I am an attorney in Herndon, Virginia. My client's have a certain expectation of how my office should appear. I have absolutely no aptitude for color schemes. Sandra and her team are my go to people for assistance in choosing paint colors, color schemes, the right curtains, the proper flooring, what color the furniture should be and so much more! She also has many reliable vendors to install. I have used her for my office in 2007, when my office moved in 2014 and again when my office expanded to a bigger space in January of 2020. My clients have commented on how calming the color scheme is, which is very necessary in a law office! I have also used her decorating services in my personal home. I will always use Sandra and her team for all my decorating needs.
