Marek was referred to us by our friends from the Bay Area. We liked Marek’s design style but we were also attracted to his analytical and creative way of thinking and attention to detail. Marek is an extremely knowledgeable, talented and professional architect. He designed and transformed our old house into a beautiful, modern and cleanly designed structure. The interior has an elegant ambiance of simplicity with open spaces, great functionality and stunning, sharp contrasts –exactly what we were hoping to achieve. If your desire is to enjoy your surroundings you certainly need an expert designer who you can trust your investment with. We were worried that we would go over our budget with all the expenses and construction costs. However, Marek saved us from making costly design mistakes when our imaginations and excitement got the best of us. He worked with us through every detail of the design, giving us several options to choose from, developing our projects, assisting us with finish and fixture selections and helping with construction supervision. We hired Marek Slosar when our remodel was already 5 months underway. We had initially used another designer, but we realized that the project had a lack of creativity and would have resulted in major frustration, a failed remodel, and wasted money. In just one evening of talking, Marek understood our desired style and within three days he provided a revised plan for the project that was radically different and yet, from a construction/engineering point of view, only required a few tweaks. In addition he presented the plan in interactive 3D drawings so we could really form a much better idea of our future project than ever before. We were simply thrilled. We are currently executing this project, a bit slower than most people would do, because we are doing a lot of the work by ourselves while continuing a full time day job. We continue to work with Marek for two new bathrooms and he is our consultant for colors and any details we like to ask advice for. He has great experience with contemporary designs and is also very knowledgeable in practical ways for keeping the execution of extraordinary projects within a defined budget. Marek always maintains a positive attitude. In summary, he is a humble master of architecture.
