I have used Smart Closets several times. The first experience was around 2012 when they built a complete "L" shaped closet with doors, hampers, a safe, and several hanging compartments from scratch. When I moved into my new house in 2017 I had only two "closets" in my bedroom that each had only one bar across to hang clothes. I contacted Smart Closets and they not only took those spaces and made them into complete customized closet spaces with hanging space, drawers, and shoe racks, but they also built two additional closets in an area of the room that was not being used. Those closets consist of 3 hampers each, 9 drawers each, 4 shelves each, and one hanging rack each. They also refinished the two closets in my mother's apartment within the same home by separating one that only had a clothing rod into an upper and lower section with a shelf and then took the other closet which only had two small shelves and put about eight shelves from floor to ceiling. Most recently, I called them back to add to some of the custom work they had done in my bedroom. They had the original drawings, figured out what needed to be done, charged a reasonable price, and had it done in a very timely fashion. I would absolutely recommend Smart Closets to anyone. Ben is especially a brilliant carpenter.

High quality and very beautifully done. They are also reasonably priced and helped me find a design structure within my budget. Highly recommend!

Mike, Ben, and their team were a great team to work with on my custom closet. We came into the process with a concept and had thought about doing it ourselves, but are very happy we opted to go with the professionals instead. They worked with our vision, created renderings and quotes, came to our apartment to confirm measurements and talk through the project from their experience, and built an awesome cabinet! Would use them again in a heartbeat!

What a wonderful experience! The entire process was seamless and the design completely changed/maximized my space (which goes a long way in NYC). The Smart Closets team was quick, easy to work with, and extremely professional. Will recommend and work with them again :).
