Smith Painting began operation in 1997 with one employee, me, Sean Smith. I ran the company then, and do now, as an integrity based, honest painting company. I consider it a privilege to be invited into a clients home and help see a homeowners vision through to completion. Although I have had opportunities to grow the company larger than what is currently constituted, I have chosen to carry 6-10 employees in order to be able to stay better connected to my clients. I believe in being a visible presence at all of our projects. Our projects range from painting a single bathroom up to 8,000 square foot homes as well as some of Chicago’s most well known restaurants. Every project presents a unique set of challenges that must be met with hard work, determination and know how. Most homeowners do not know what a good paint job is supposed to look like. Only after hiring Smith Painting do they realize that paint drops on the floor are not normal. Straight, crisp edges are the rule, not the exception. Courteous, on time and polite workers should be expected and not hoped for by the client. The employees of Smith Painting know this and practice it on every project.
