Absolutely the worst craftsmanship and even worse customer service. They have installed handrails that are not code compliant, covered with visible weld lines and paint brush marks. Best of all, when you look down the profile of the handrail, there are many instances of sag and rise in the way the metal was installed. Despite agreeing that the workmanship is sub par, there is no contact from them in regards to how they plan to remedy. I've now had to bring in another metal worker and the bill to repair this work will be more than the original cost.

We need to replace our whole stair system and when we came into Southern staircase we were met by Chris McAlister. We were looking at custom stair cases that would cost up to $10,000 and he refused to give us quote over 5 day period. So we stopped by the store to ask him verbally for our quote and he still didn't have it and said he just got in the into the office after a 5-day weekend. If the experience of getting an estimate is as bad as their work I'm glad that we walked away!

The cable railing system and the stairs look great and I appreciate the response provided to help us meet the final approval of the inspector. With respect to the stairs in particular, I want to commend the craftsmanship of your team. The combination of the wood detailing and execution of the open risers, exposed stringers, and landings has resulted in a staircase that is also an important design feature for the home.

We renovated a house in Winter/Spring of 2015. Working with Southern Staircase was great! They were very reliable and delivered beyond our expectations. We LOVE LOVE LOVE our staircase. The lease favorite part of our house has now become one of our favorite design aspects thanks to Southern Staircase.

Southern Staircase assisted me with the renovation of a mid-century modern home. The design of this house required something sleek and modern and use of materials that were unusual. Scott Mariotte, Southern Staircase's representative suggested use of materials and design that was both respectful of the house design and my budget. The final product turned out better than I had ever expected--simple, direct and elegant.

Southern Stair was brought in to work with us on a spiral stair we hoped to install in the fitness facility of a Mid-rise apartment complex. The people at Southern Stair worked with us from our hand sketch on a piece of paper and turned it into what we were looking for. Its is really more of an art piece than a staircase. They are a great group to work with, and we would recommend them.

Southern Staircase fabricated and installed the most beautiful floating oval shaped staircase for my project. I have worked with them on multiple projects but they have out done themselves on the latest stair. I will definitely specify them for future projects.

I recently had a staircase and cable rail system installed by Southern Staircase. The stair was installed first and the cable rail system later. The railing has oak newels and an oak soffit was installed around an open upper floor area. All the work was first-rate and the Southern Stair employees who did the installations really wanted me to be happy with the product and their work. I have a fairly critical eye for detail and the work is as good as I could want. Inasmuch as I live in a rural area, it was important for me to have the work done by pros. They were willing to travel a considerable distance to install my stair. My experience with the office staff was also good and they smoothly handled a somewhat complicated design. I would use Southern Stair again and would recommend them to others, something that I am rarely able to do.

Southern Staircase just installed the stairs in our home being built on Lake Keowee. The sales staff was very professional and responsive. The engineering team developed a custom design that nailed the look we were going after and the installation was professional and efficient. The end product was beautiful. Thanks Southern Staircase!
