Sterling Kitchen Design, renowned for its expertise in custom kitchens to suit every budget, is based in Long Island NY and was founded by owner and president Ellen Cirigliano. While Sterling is best known for their custom work, their services also include custom, semi-custom, stock cabinetry, counter tops, appliances and tile. Ellen Cirigliano is an 26 year interior design veteran whose passion lies in kitchen design. Ellen developed an interest in kitchen design at an early age and pursued her passion at the Metropolitan Institute of Interior Design. Though she excelled in kitchen, bathroom, dining room and living room design, her true love has always been kitchens. After receiving her design credentials, she set out of find her own style. Her quest found her! After apprenticing with different kitchen designers and being exposed to many different styles, Ellen now boosts an impressive portfolio of her own unique style which has been featured in House Magazine and Cabinetry Calendars. Ten years after I had a new kitchen installed it became necessary to make changes. Unfortunately, it was poorly designed for a very large room. I had very little storage and started to use my garage and basement for the desperate storage needed. Since Ellen was highly recommended, I decided to give her a chance to make changes to meet my needs. It was a difficult task to work with the existing floor plan. I have very expensive floors and appliances and had no intention of replacing them. Ellen worked diligently with me and designed a kitchen that is both beautiful and functional. It is amazing at how she worked around my center isle to add extra storage space. A drawer for the microwave was added to the center isle giving me extra counter space. By moving the corner sink I gained a cabinet and drawer for my baking needs. The quality and color of the new cabinets has added a special touch and warmth that is so welcoming. Ellen has updated two of my bathrooms and am certain that I will call her again for my next project. Ellen is both professional and caring and is aways open to suggestions from her clients. I highly recommend her to work on your next project.

It took many trials to get the design I knew would meet all my needs, and Ellen could not have been more accommodating. She promptly returns all phone calls and is extremely reliable. We highly recommend Ellen at Sterling Kitchen Design! It’s incredibly difficult to find talented, honest people to work with on home renovations. It took years for us to renovate our kitchen because we had no idea who to hire. Finally, we called Ellen and could not be happier. She is professional, enthusiastic, communicates promptly and clearly, and pays attention to detail. We were also able to use our own contractor for installation; other companies don’t offer this option. Ellen was a pleasure to work with throughout the process, from drafting the perfect layout and choosing materials, to overseeing the delivery of our cabinetry and checking up on the installation. She listened carefully to my wish list and designed the kitchen I have wanted for 20 years! Couldn't be happier with the result. Ellen was always easily reachable and addressed any questions promptly and efficiently. Ellen also created a very detailed reference book for my contractor. This was invaluable - saved my time, pre-empted many questions, and ensured there were no slips along the way. From beginning to end, Ellen turned a difficult job into a completely pleasurable experience. She happily revised our plans multiple times until the design was exactly what we wanted. The order process was simple and the cabinets arrived when promised and perfectly to specification. I would add that the cabinets were of excellent quality and very reasonably priced. Ellen attended to all phases of the project in a very professional manner and quickly arranged for one replacement door with a slight imperfection in the finish. It was a great experience working with Ellen and I would highly recommend Sterling Kitchen Design.
