I'm a Realtor and have, for years, recommended David Haig to many of my clients for repair work, remodeling, and additions on their homes. My clients are always satisfied! As a property manager, I've used his team to repair and renovate our rental units. His team is a pleasure to work with, they always had good ideas and ways of making the repairs more efficient. I appreciated when they noticed problems I hadn't, saving me future headaches. David is incapable of "cutting corners" - I know I can depend on him to do it right the first time. It was no question that he was the one to hire when I had a major flood in my own home due to a burst boiler pipe that destroyed 1 bathroom, and damaged 2 others. This was just before Covid. I had David's crews in and out of my home, during the worst possible time when finding materials and supplies was beyond challenging. They exceeded my expectations with regards to quality of work, keeping the work site clean and my family safe. I am delighted to continue recommending DA Haig Construction, without hesitation!

Unprofessional, unscrupulous scam artists. The worst contractor I have ever had the misfortune to work with. They really should lose their license (working with state authorities on that). Avoid them at all cost,

Update: David sent his crew back to fix the leak. He actually sent his crew back a number of times to correct other things. David stands behind his work and tries to make it right. He is responsive when I contact him. He is respected in the community. David’s crew installed a new tub and tile in my bathroom during a complete remodel (down to the studs). I have leaks on both sides of my tub behind the tile. He sent someone out once to fix the problem. New caulk was applied and the damage to the plaster was sanded and repainted. Now I have leaks again. I don’t see water on the outside of the tub or floor after showering. The leak must be behind the wall. It’s happening on both sides of my tub. Who knows what damage is happening to my walls and floor behind the tile?! Disappointed. It seems like something with the tile job wasn’t done correctly. Now I probably need to have all the tile ripped out and start over. Ugh. I’ve waited way too long to address this issue. But if it were done right the first time, I wouldn’t be in this situation.

We have worked with David and his crew on too many projects to remember. He and his hard working, knowledgeable and kind crew first remodeled our kitchen in 2013, they have also repaired siding, insulated and water proofed a crawl space, jacked up and leveled uneven floors, plumbing issues, you name it. Basically when we need help we just call David and solutions develop! We will just kept coming back!

David & his team have done a major master bathroom remodel and a smaller office update for us. We were heavily involved in the design process, and the final outcome reflected our wishes. It's been over two years, and our bathroom is still a daily source of satisfaction!

Tami Haig is who I go to when I need design help. I am an stylist/interior designer from San Francisco. Its always hardest to design for yourself, Tami will come in and give me her feed back its always spot on. Tami has great taste she keeps up with what is going on in the design work. She is the best!

I have hired David to do several projects at my house. He has always done a great job. If something was not as I expected he did not hesitate to change it. He is easy to work with and truly cares that the work is done well.

Haig Construction has done two major renovation projects and a number of other home improvements for us over the past three years or so. The attention to detail and care that they bring to the work is exactly what I needed as a "newbie" in remodeling and renovating our home. We had both the bathroom and kitchen (most recently) completely re-done. I have appreciated their regular communication and updating and the ease of reaching them with questions. Good communication is second only to the quality of the workmanship for me and I have not had any problems with contacting Mr. Haig. When appropriate, he'd be at the house to check into an issue (for example, a surprise leak early in the bathroom construction where the venting was to go brought him over immediately to examine the situation and offer an immediate solution). I also was able to turn to Haig Construction for advice about materials, colors, etc., when I was uncertain and needed to make a selection. I would highly recommend Haig Construction. They do beautiful work.

I have used D.A. Haig for both residential and commercial projects. David and his crew are top notch. They do great work and are on time and leave everything in pristine condition when they are finished. I highly recommend them for large and small jobs.

We used David Haig and his team for a complex commercial expansion at our restaurant and then again for renovations on our mid-century home. The crew is professional, skilled and personable. D.A. Haig Construction have done renovations on two houses for us. Both times work was done impeccably and honestly, working with our budget and timetable. They renovated a kitchen in our 1908 Arts & Crafts house in 2013, as well as doing extensive foundation, tile field and grading work to the exterior and replacing a number of windows. More recently they re-did two bathrooms in our mid-century modern ranch and come spring will do exterior work on that house as well. They are a pleasure to work with.

We purchased an old farm house on the northeast side of Ann Arbor and it needed major updating. David and his crew exceeded our expectations and we are absolutely thrilled with how the entire renovation turned out. I would highly recommend them for any project. We have hired David Haig's company several times for various ptojects from repairs needed because of water damage to installing adrainage system that has resolved our basement issues. I have known David since he was in high school as he was a friend of our daughter and have watched him build this company over the years. He is honest and ethical, deeply knowledgable about all elements of building and especially "green" issues, treats his workers really well, seeks out really skilled workers and he gets great people to work for and with him because of this. We have a number of friends who have had him do major additions for them and they too rave about his work and his design skills. I have seen a very recent one that is just gorgeous and was done to enable aging in place for a friend of mine. If you get multiple bids and his is not the lowest, think hard before you decide on price alone. This company's work is really first rate.

My project included renovation on a house built in 1965. The end result is more amazing that I could have imagined. The attention to detail in all areas was remarkable. For example, I couldn't find a bathroom vanity that I liked as I was looking for something with reclaimed and/or barn wood, so they found someone who could build it for me. It is high quality and so very beautiful ! Thank you David Haig Construction for your professionalism and quality of work on my project. Great communication from the beginning and throughout the process made it easy for me to navigate through the renovation. It was a very pleasant experience. Very thorough and work with excellent subs. Details are considered at every step. Takes our style preferences into consideration but not afraid to guide us either.

This was a build from scratch house project. They did a great job, paid a lot of attention to detail, listened to my needs and kept costs down as far as possible. When there were the inevitable few post construction glitches, they got right on them and fixed them at no charge.

Haig Construction renovated our half bath. Our home was built in 1939 and we wanted the bath to keep in the character of the decade in which the house was built. We wanted a new low-flow toilet and the wash basin had to be replaced because the built-in faucet dripped and could not be repaired. In addition, the space is very tight with the door just clearing the wash basin. They worked with us to find a replacement sink from a reuse center with the same profile as our old sink and looked original to the home. They also helped us find a low-flow toilet looked vintage. The demolition and reconstruction was all completed within 5 business days and included installing a beautiful marble tile floor. They stand behind their work and respond very quickly to phone calls.
