Image is a great resource to our firm and they come through constantly for the client and stay up on the latest technology installation requirements being certified as programmers for several lighting lines as well.

Steve came to us wanting to renovate a house – we had three weeks to develop the design concepts, find available products, get sub-contractor bids and agree to the time line and in 20 days renovate the home. Because of the short time frame, this required the three designers working to get the drawings finalized, bids completed, and to our sub-contractors to agree to meet the client's time frame. We stopped working on other larger projects to try to help the client in getting his house remodeled with the ideas he had approved and in the short time frame with a budget of less than $50,000. The design firm provided design ideas, elevation drawings, space plans, and the lighting plans. We did a lot of problem solving for Steve trying to provide solutions that would work for him: providing two types of door options to get into the master bathroom- as you could not access the bathroom with the current door location and the clients had a wall unit bed/nightstand unit which would not work with the current door. We supplied multiple ideas for their kitchen area and provided new counter top plans for the kitchen and bathrooms with a bid based on the material they selected. To improve the lighting in the space we proposed many ideas and were able to add under counter lights by removing the old backsplash, a recessed lighting plan with a decorative light over either the island and the banquette seating that we had also drawn and bid for. The living area seating could only to be in one location, but we gave options with different furniture sizes and variations on the seating. I took them shopping on a Saturday as the designers that work with me do not work on the weekends and this was a rush. We were able to find the tile for the backsplash, as well as the lights and the wood flooring. The client purchased the lights, and was due to purchase the wood flooring and the tiles the next morning. We had all the trades contract amounts approved and scheduled, the realtor said the funding was in place. The closing did not move forward, but the following Monday I called and ask the lighting company owner to please cancel all the orders. The client then wanted the 1,500 dollar deposit back and our time exceeded this amount. I thought I was being gracious- I did not send him the balance due, but what I did get was a review that was not accurate. The client had no way of knowing how much time each designer put into the project as he never saw the final invoices. Steve has all the ideas/ plans and costs with bids that he can use to update a home to get a very stylish current look for any future home he purchases. The discounts he had received ranged from 10 to 30% on all the products. The discounts would have paid for our time and the clients would have had a home with added value.
