“Adair staged my living room, all in a matter of 2 hours by simply changing furniture placement and angling each piece of furniture in a way that is so inviting and comfortable. She has a talent to use accessories in a way that is useful, not just decorative. I am so very pleased with the results. I didn't know how to move forward after painting my living room and how to incorporate color and texture. Adair did that. She is knowledgeable, attuned to your needs and loves what she does. She also took me on a shopping spree at Home Goods just to be more confident with how to complete a room. So, the learning went beyond my home. I am so grateful for her help! I know she will be there for my next challenge, as I would hire her again in a heartbeat!”

“We found Nile by searching the ASID.org website seeking a well-regarded interior designer. We were attracted to many of Nile’s designs on his website, and hired him after interviewing several other designers. He stood out from other designers in the ideas he could offer in only our first meeting. We had very little time to devote to designing our home yet had high expectations, and entrusted Nile to help bring out our taste. The job involved designing and furnishing our main floor rooms including family room, living room, dining room, and foyer in a large open concept house. Nile did a fantastic job, offering us choices that reflected our style, and providing his expertise on how to bring our eclectic preferences to life. He struck the right balance in advising us when our ideas may or may not work out, providing lessons learned from his experience and those of his peers, and effectively communicating with us throughout the process, from start to finish. “I own a 1920's Gardener's cottage that was once part of a country estate, run down and falling apart at the seams, unlived in for many years. After making the structural repairs, I needed someone to come in and take over the project, creating what I hoped would become a magical guest hideaway.
I had seen several homes that Kathleen Schippers had renovated and I fell in love with her work. She has a wonderful sense of space and color, creating rooms that invite you in. I wanted someone who could make the space practical and feel lived in, while at the same time creating an excitement and beauty for my family and guests.
Kathleen did it all! The project was finished in a timely manner and on budget. My expectations were exceeded and now everyone who walks into the cottage is absolutely wowed. She has blended the old with the new, and though it retains all the charm of the 1920's design, it softly brings in some contemporary elements as well. As soon as you walk in the front door, you feel as though you have entered into this beautiful space, but you totally feel at home.
Best of all, Kathleen has a down to earth style that makes you feel so comfortable when you're working together. She listens and incorporates what you are hoping to create into her method of design, and you feel very much a part of all the planning and decisions. Kathleen made doing this project fun, and that in itself is a testimony to her work.”
