““Square One Design needed only minimal input and direction before coming back with the perfect design - it was such an easy process for me. Mark was working within a challenging situation; the kitchen was part of an extension, so dimensions and timelines frequently changed. He was resolutely professional & provided clear communication throughout the necessary adjustments. During the installation, the SQ1 team was extremely conscientious, paying meticulous attention to detail. as if working on a kitchen in their own house, which was reassuring. Of all the tradesmen working on the house, they were definitely the tidiest! The end result is a triumph - frequently complimented (particularly the very special concealed drawers), and a pleasure to admire every time I walk in the room. I would not hesitate to recommend Square One Design to anyone. Thanks again. I love it!””

“Your review left March 2018 We had our bathroom completely redesigned. We had the bath removed and a beautiful walk in shower installed. Robs workmanship is to a very high standard and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. Helen gave us great ideas on design that we wouldn't have thought of ourselves. “My Black Walnut instrument housing is a complex design that's very difficult to make. It's even more difficult to repeat the process twenty-five times and maintain the quality. However, to say that I'm delighted with the 'woodcraft' would be an understatement. These are, by far, the best housings I have ever had made for my clocks - the quality of the work, the wood and the finishing, to make these gorgeous items, is breath-taking.”

“Dressing room fitted out with bespoke wardrobes, drawers, shelves and hanging rails. The work was beautifully designed with our needs in mind and we are so pleased with the final finish, the wardrobes are genuinely the nicest ones I have ever seen, they are so well made, silent in terms of the doors and the drawers and fully meet exactly what we asked for. Rich completed the work quickly and was so tidy. Highly recommend.”

“When does something as practical as a bit of storage evolve not just into a piece of furniture but into our very own unique work of art. This was the process we went through with Jake. The amount of time and care he took in ensuring everything was spot on was admirable. It took a while to appreciate that it wasn’t just about building something practical but that it was to be “designed” and this is where Jake really excelled. If I’m honest, we were slightly overwhelmed by the options but in the end we left a number of decisions up to him to make in the knowledge that we knew it would look fantastic. From a brushed steel finger gap around the cupboard doors to staining the oak worktops with the same oil as our oak floor, the end result is striking whilst thankfully being as practical as we need it!”

“I had two wardrobes installed and some shelving made. Jonathan at Refined Trades provided a excellent service. The wardrobes were bespoke and built to a high quality, the price was competitive too. Communication through out was good and he went out of his way to ensure we were happy with end result.. Highly recommend.”
