We own and operate a construction company, SoCal Contractor.com, a licensed and bonded California contractor, allowing for a seamless design-build experience for major renovations, remodeling, historical preservation, room additions and new construction. (Interior designer and construction teams may be hired individually.) The firm works with the best and most well regarded artisans, manufacturers and vendors in the world.

Working with Sara and her team was a positive, enjoyable and rewarding experience. They were able to help us navigate some tough projects like redesigning and organizing our overcrowded, dated, cluttered home office into a comforting and beautiful space that could accommodate two working adults (due to the pandemic). It is now one of my favorite rooms in the house. They also helped re-design two other bedrooms and our living room. They literally transformed the rooms and made our home so much more beautiful. Sara listened without judgement to our ideas and made us feel comfortable in expressing our preferences. She was also able to combine both of our styles (contemporary and global) in a way that really complemented one another. I can't speak highly enough about the entire team but especially Sara. She has vast experience, training and deep understanding of design, furniture, lighting and spatial organization. She’s extremely creative, thoughtful, organized, dependable and simply a wonderful person. The process was easy, pleasant and fun. Sara and her team also quickly responded to any questions that we had, provided alternate options when things were out of stock and always was very considerate of our budget. I will continue to hire Sara and her team and would highly recommend them to anyone wanting help with design and reimagining their home.

My husband and I bought our first home this year. We always rented and our furniture was a mix of hand me downs, craigslist finds and few pieces we bought along the way. We were terrified to buy a bunch of furniture only to discover we hated it, it didn’t fit in our space or we wasted money. I found Lori on Houzz.com and decided to give her a call. She asked me what our style was, what my favorite colors were and what vibe I was looking for in my new home. I told her I didn’t know. I had never thought about it before. She came over to my old place and we talked, we walked around the house and she got to know me. It was surprising to discover that I did have a style – she just had to pull it out of me. We set up a budget and then very quickly Lori had created a floor plan of my new home and suggested furniture, carpets and lightening for each space. She made me a list of items to keep and where they would fit into my new home and items to donate. We went over all her suggestions on her computer and I decided on what to purchase. Lori has a lot of experience and I trusted her when she told me she had seen an item in person, that is was comfortable, or was of high quality materials. Lori and her team are amazing, and I definitely could not have done this with out them.

Durning the interview she gave me a lot of good advice. She also inspired me to do the Interior Design program at UCLA!

I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am in our new home. I still can't believe we live here! We tore down our old tiny house overlooking the beach and built a brand new 3 story modern masterpiece - all with the help of Lori Dennis and SoCal Contractor. Each room is so special, designed with our interests at heart and it really reflects who we are as a family. Now we have a beautiful home where we can make so many wonderful memories. I can't thank them enough for making our dreams come true!

I'm a long time fan of Lori Dennis, Inc. and SoCal Contractor. My first experience was when we hired them to remodel and transform our master bathroom. They did such a great job, we hired them to help us work on the rest of our house and bring it up to date. One of my favorite aspects are the beautiful new wood windows. We get compliments all the time from our neighbors and guests, even our mailman. We then hired the teams to remodel our mother's home and make it more comfortable for her as she's aging. It put our minds at ease that she can move around safely in her home, and it looks amazing. So far, they've been 3 for 3, and we've got another home for them to help us with and I know it's going to be great. I have complete faith in them and their professionalism.

We couldn't be happier with our decision to hire the teams at Lori Dennis and SoCal Contractor for our 5,500 square foot total remodel in Rancho Santa Fe. From the beginning, Lori clearly saw our vision of what we wanted our home to be, and SoCal made it happen. They're a great team! They were upfront and honest with us about our wish list, budget and timeline, and worked hard to resolve any issues that came up during the remodel and renovation phase. We appreciated the "in-house" aspect of hiring both firms together. It felt like everyone on the teams were on top of it - very streamlined, coordinated and organized. Again, we would hire SoCal Contractor and Lori Dennis again in a heartbeat.

Lori Dennis and her team did not disappoint. She handled the complete remodel of our 4,000 sq ft home. We experienced no stress because Lori and her team handled it all from start to finish with an impressive timeline. All the designs and all the construction communications to SoCal Contractor were handled by her team. No detail was too small and no detail was left unaddressed. My husband and I are glad we had the right team working for us. We found Lori to be smart, decisive, and an expert in design. Overall very good communication and professionalism. We are highly satisfied with the finished product. Together with our kiddos, we thank Lori and her team, we cannot wait to fill our new home with a lot of lovely and happy memories. Thank you!
