I think that losing the hutch and adding a mirror will help but likely not as much as you're hoping. You paint color in combination with your wood tones will keep the room from the bright feeling you're hoping for. I am not saying it is the wrong paint for the furniture, it isn't but you have some contradictory styles going on. Your hutch and table and chairs are craftsman /arts and craft in style. Your paint color works with the Craftsman movement. Your chandelier does not. So while you crave the light and bright that would fall in line with your chandelier i am afraid that feeling doesnt fall in line with the craftsman style , which is the majority of what you have going on there. if you stay in line with that style I would pull the chandleier and get something that transitions better with the style of the space.

If you want to work with your chandelier and get the lighter and brighter space youre craving I suggest you pull the hutch and change the existing hardware on the bottom portion, your sideboard and table can be somehwat benign with other elements added into the space. . Bringing in a paint that will infuse light into the space and brighten it to a more airy feel. Adding a mirror and sconces in a traditional style that works with the chandelier as well as lighter chairs for the side and some upholstery for the host and hostess chairs will make the room lighter and brighter and work with your chandelier.
