Traditional Red Dining Room

In this dining room, the existing dining room table and chairs were kept as they were in good condition and neutral enough to work with any decor. One dramatic change was the staining of the new dark hardwood floors from the existing natural stain. To the bottom of the walls, new chair rial, wainscoting and higher baseboards were added, all painted in a soft white. To the upper walls a rich red colour was added, in addition crown molding was added to the perimeter of the tray ceiling, and final paint change was the beige ceiling. all of these moldings add a rich and elegant feel to the space, and helped to keep the room lighter as this dining room window is on the side of the home, in return not having very much direct sunlight. Most of the budget was put towards the custom window treatment. The new silhouette blind gives the customer the privacy and light control when desired. This is finished off with a custom upholstered board done with an embroided silk with colour coordinated silk side panels. New flower arrangement and figurine tray stand were added to finalize the decor.
