This beautiful bathroom has light gray marble floors. The large shower has white Carrera marble subway tiled walls, gray marble basketweave tile floor, and a luxurious oil rubbed bronze rainfall shower head. The two vanities are made of solid cherry wood and are topped with a blue-gray quartzite. French gold and oil rubbed bronze fixtures add a warm and polished detail. The bathroom’s window seat is special spot, providing extra storage and lots of light. The main projects in this Wayne, PA home were renovating the kitchen and the master bathroom, but we also updated the mudroom and the dining room. Using different materials and textures in light colors, we opened up and brightened this lovely home giving it an overall light and airy feel. Interior Designer Larina Kase, of Wayne, PA, used furniture and accent pieces in bright or contrasting colors that really shine against the light, neutral colored palettes in each room. Rudloff Custom Builders has won Best of Houzz for Customer Service in 2014, 2015 2016, 2017 and 2019. We also were voted Best of Design in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 which only 2% of professionals receive. Rudloff Custom Builders has been featured on Houzz in their Kitchen of the Week, What to Know About Using Reclaimed Wood in the Kitchen as well as included in their Bathroom WorkBook article. Modern Masculine Master Bathroom

The goal of this project was to update the outdated master bathroom to better meet the homeowners design tastes and the style of the rest of this foothills home, as well as update all the doors on the first floor, and create a contemporary mud room and staircase to the basement. The homeowners wanted a master suite that had a masculine feel, incorporated elements of black steel, wood, and contrast with clean white tiles and counter-tops and helped their long and skinny layout feel larger/ make better use of the space they have. They also wanted a more spacious and luxurious shower with water temperature control. A large window that existed above the original soaking tub offered spectacular views down into Boulder valley and it was important to keep this element in the updated design. However, privacy was also very important. Therefore, a custom-built powder coated steel shelf, was created to provide privacy blocking, add storage, and add a contrasting design element to the white wall tiles. Black honeycomb floor tiles, new black walnut cabinetry, contemporary wall paper, a floor to ceiling glass shower wall, and updated fixtures elevated the space and gave the clients exactly the look and feel that they wanted. Unique custom metal design elements can be found throughout the new spaces (shower, mud room bench and shelving, and staircase railings and guardrails), and give this home the contemporary feel that the homeowners desired.

More Italian quartz cover the walls and floors while the tub and vanity are sheathed in white quartz composite. This is a great contrast to the gold mosaic tiles at the makeup counter on the left. Simple contemporary plumbing fixtures and clean lines of the cabinets don’t compete with the beautiful view.

From what was once a humble early 90’s decor space, the contrast that has occurred in this ensuite is vast. On return from a holiday in Japan, our clients desired the same bath house cultural experience, that is known to the land of onsens, for their own ensuite. The transition in this space is truly exceptional, with the new layout all designed within the same four walls, still maintaining a vanity, shower, bath and toilet. Our designer, Eugene Lombard put much careful consideration into the fittings and finishes to ensure all the elements were pulled together beautifully. The wet room setting is enhanced by a bench seat which allows the user a moment of transition between the shower and hot, deep soaker style bath. The owners now wake up to a captivating “day-spa like experience” that most would aspire to on a holiday, let alone an everyday occasion. Key features like the underfloor heating in the entrance are added appeal to beautiful large format tiles along with the wood grain finishes which add a sense of warmth and balance to the room.

The basement bathroom took its cues from the black industrial rainwater pipe running across the ceiling. The bathroom was built into the basement of an ex-school boiler room so the client wanted to maintain the industrial feel the area once had.

The downstairs bathroom the clients were wanting a space that could house a freestanding bath at the end of the space, a larger shower space and a custom- made cabinet that was made to look like a piece of furniture. A nib wall was created in the space offering a ledge as a form of storage. The reference of black cabinetry links back to the kitchen and the upstairs bathroom, whilst the consistency of the classic look was again shown through the use of subway tiles and patterned floors.

This beautiful French Provincial home is set on 10 acres, nestled perfectly in the oak trees. The original home was built in 1974 and had two large additions added; a great room in 1990 and a main floor master suite in 2001. This was my dream project: a full gut renovation of the entire 4,300 square foot home! I contracted the project myself, and we finished the interior remodel in just six months. The exterior received complete attention as well. The 1970s mottled brown brick went white to completely transform the look from dated to classic French. Inside, walls were removed and doorways widened to create an open floor plan that functions so well for everyday living as well as entertaining. The white walls and white trim make everything new, fresh and bright. It is so rewarding to see something old transformed into something new, more beautiful and more functional.
