Medford RemodelingJust to the left of the bathroom entry door is the toilet room. Tucked away from the wet areas, it includes a 36-inch doorway for aging in place (should the clients need to use a walker or wheelchair in the future), and a convenient storage cabinet with adjustable shelving.
M.O.Daby DesignConceived more similar to a loft type space rather than a traditional single family home, the homeowner was seeking to challenge a normal arrangement of rooms in favor of spaces that are dynamic in all 3 dimensions, interact with the yard, and capture the movement of light and air.
As an artist that explores the beauty of natural objects and scenes, she tasked us with creating a building that was not precious - one that explores the essence of its raw building materials and is not afraid of expressing them as finished.
We designed opportunities for kinetic fixtures, many built by the homeowner, to allow flexibility and movement.
The result is a building that compliments the casual artistic lifestyle of the occupant as part home, part work space, part gallery. The spaces are interactive, contemplative, and fun.

Barbra Bright DesignThis contemporary master bathroom has all the elements of a roman bath—it’s beautiful, serene and decadent. Double showers and a partially sunken Jacuzzi add to its’ functionality.
The glass shower enclosure bridges the full height of the angled ceilings—120” h. The floor of the bathroom and shower are on the same plane which eliminates that pesky shower curb. The linear drain is understated and cool.

Coco Design & Build Co.Simple clean design...in this master bathroom renovation things were kept in the same place but in a very different interpretation. The shower is where the exiting one was, but the walls surrounding it were taken out, a curbless floor was installed with a sleek tile-over linear drain that really goes away. A free-standing bathtub is in the same location that the original drop in whirlpool tub lived prior to the renovation. The result is a clean, contemporary design with some interesting "bling" effects like the bubble chandelier and the mirror rounds mosaic tile located in the back of the niche.

Небольшая площадь 4,5м2 позволили разместить душевую кабину, умывальник с тумбой, унитаз. Высокий потолок в таком небольшом и вытянутом помещении нельзя назвать плюсом. Этот вопрос дизайнеры решили делением отделки стен на разные материалы и цветовые акценты. Высокий плиточный плинтус, в цвет пола, визуально расширил пространство. Сочетание плитки и покраски в отделки стен вносят разнообразие. Дизайнеры отказались от использования поддона в душевой и возведения капитальной стены, в качестве душевой перегородки. Поддон сильно загромождал бы небольшое помещение, а прозрачная стеклянная перегородка прекрасно выполняет функцию изоляции от брызг и пропускает естественный свет от окна, не меняя геометрию комнаты. Лаконичную белую кафельную поверхность Кристина Шкварина декорировала яркой росписью в своей керамической мастерской. Цветочный орнамент с птицами, стилизован под диковинные растения из сказочного сада. Такие небольшие яркие акценты доставляют веселье и радость маленьким пользователям. Lori Jolin Design, LLC.This Master Bathroom went from Drab to Fab and has become their sanctuary. They really love this new space and take advantage of more "couple time" both early morning and as a place to come together at the end of the day.
Patricia B. Warren, AIA Warren Architecture, LLCFrom the beginning of the design process, the antique armoire was to be the feature of the bathroom. The challenge was to provide enough space for the armoire to occupy. The wall and floor finishes around the armoire were kept simple to not be distracting.
Alloy Architecture & ConstructionThe clients for this small bathroom project are passionate art enthusiasts and asked the architects to create a space based on the work of one of their favorite abstract painters, Piet Mondrian. Mondrian was a Dutch artist associated with the De Stijl movement which reduced designs down to basic rectilinear forms and primary colors within a grid. Alloy used floor to ceiling recycled glass tiles to re-interpret Mondrian's compositions, using blocks of color in a white grid of tile to delineate space and the functions within the small room. A red block of color is recessed and becomes a niche, a blue block is a shower seat, a yellow rectangle connects shower fixtures with the drain.
The bathroom also has many aging-in-place design components which were a priority for the clients. There is a zero clearance entrance to the shower. We widened the doorway for greater accessibility and installed a pocket door to save space. ADA compliant grab bars were located to compliment the tile composition.
