    Why?

    In my area, "Amish" is known as poor quality. Belonging to a particular religigious sect does not guarantee quality (nor that they even made the goods). Be very careful.

    Amish-like is Ayr Custom Cabinetry in Nappanee, Indiana. You can see the quality work in loves2cook4six's kitchen in the finished kitchen blog. I used Ayr for my special cabinets in my Chicagoland home. I love them. Nappanee is home to several Amish cabinetmakers. Ken Miller is the go-to guy at Ayr. There is nothing he cannot do. Highly recommended. Ayr can do cabinetry anywhere and has even made cabs for someone in Europe, I think.

    Don't bother with "it's Amish Made ". Spent two hours with the guy, emailed pictures and had measurements with me, and never heard from him again.
