To me this is lovely and practical. A basket of linens. Glass & plates on shelves & Decorative items up top. I wouldn't want quite as unfinished a look as this, though.

I actually think that open shelves on the bottom is VERY practical. Nice to just grab your pots and pans. But I'm not a huge fan of how it looks.

Love how important or beautiful things are stored out in the open. I love the ledge on the right and the table made from plywood. And on the left is a pegboard with lots of different things hung (like papertowels). And i like the laidback feel .,

Again, i love the organized clutter. And i like the bright colors and quirky details. I think it would drive me nuts not to have more counter space though when cooking.

I like the organized mess. Practical to store things you use in the open so they can be put away more easily (although I'm not sure pot racks are that easy to use quickly). In another picture of the same place you can see the oils and tea pots above the stove.
