DY-I like this, the white quartz looks good with the grey cabinets and the subway tile. It has a farmhouse sink which I like. Both the island and the floor have nice wood, but look incongruous next to eachother. The island being open/cantilevered on all sides is a plus. MM-This is a more transitional look.
DY-Floors are too light/gray for the rest of the house. I would like more leg room underneath the counter top. I would like the counter top to be a cantilevered edge that is open on the sides, eg without the supports like this has. The open side cabinet is nice in theory, but it is too large/deep here. Maybe just enough room for glasses and a couple of cooking books.
DY-These floors are a nice color, for this room. The red color in the wood really brings out the cream tones in the white. However, I think the overall effect is making the room look too pink. The light blue ceiling looks nice though. I don't like the cooking space being so enclosed, removing the side cabinets there would make it more open. MM-This is a clean, classic look.
DY-This is nice because all the colors work together. It is much lighter because of the marble counter top. The Green color goes well with the slight green tint in the subway tile. I also like the glass in the cabinets. However, I think I still would prefer the black and white color pallet. This would not go as well with a darker colored floor. MM-Thoughts on colors like this?
DY-This image is super low resolution, which makes specifics hard to discern. Overall, this look is 'too white'. The white cabinets, counter tops and tile make the room look too flat. Having a black counter top would go a long way to adding some dimension to the room overall. This has undercabinet lighting, which I think is a necessity and pretty cheap to put into a room. MM-Butcher block and wood floors.
DY-This looks nice, and kind of what I'm imagining for the hall bath. Floor could use some black tiles to make it more interesting. The piece of molding in the bottom left corner of the image is weird. I prefer the elongated toilet shape seen here. Would like a larger mirror and would make the medicine cabinet not necessary. Pedestal sink not feasible with the sink I have in mind. Also cuts down on storage in the hall bath. MM-Thoughts on this?
DY-Yeah, this all looks very nice. I like the colors and the design of everything. Nice wood and the and the open bottom is nice. However, though it looks nice, I would prefer a solid vanity for more storage. MM-Perhaps a more modern vanity in front of more traditional, classic material selections...?
DY-The black looks lind of cool, but very stark/harsh. The white subway tile looks like it has some cream tones, which I don't like with the black tile. I fear that this would be too divisive a look, where a more conservative approach would be better. MM-Classic black. I fear this won't age as well.
DY - I like this look, but would prefer the black to be more distributed in the floor as opposed to just the boarder. I don't like the white 'expanse' look. I also don't like the black stripe in the tile, cool in theory but looks weird in execution. MM-This is more akin to the look I suggest. Thoughts?
DY-This is very nice. The slight blue gray walls go well with the marble floor. All the colors go well together, including the chrome fixtures. The vanities are a good size but I think would be improved by having chrome fittings. The toe space underneath the vanities is good. The lights are the worst part here, giving off a weird orange/pink color. MM-This is cleaner.
DY-The gray marble along with the basket weave floor pattern is too busy. I want to keep the hall bath more toned down and neutral since I will have the black sink in that room. The glass on the shower is nice as it opens the room more, but I would be content with just a shower curtain if this is an easy price cut. Also, I would prefer a larger mirror. This looks too busy to me. MM-Too much going on. It is the same layout as your hall bath and it would be toned down a bit...
