Play Areas
Probably uses way too much water to be practical as a water feature, but I like that it would look good when dry. Could be neat to route rainwater drainage to it, so the kids can play with the gravel/rocks in the summer, when it's dry. Then when it rains in the winter, they can go outside and play in it.
I like the idea of adding some posts like this somewhere. Could do a couple of things with them long term - Add climbing things, like they did here - Add beams to connect them - use as balance beams, etc. - Build a platform between them for kids to play on, or be a starting point for a zipline. - Put a hammock or slack line between them - Put a beam up high and add rings or a climbing rope/net
This is one of my favorite photos for integrated play areas. We'd use gravel rather than sand. In addition to the sand area, our kids would play in the boulders, and the little path around the whole thing to push the car is brilliant too.
